I am energetic, can walk on a leash, and am working on fetch. I don't do well with cats and am particular about other dogs so a meet and greet is recommended if you have any furry companions! My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination and basic boosters. I am heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, I will be able to receive treatment with little to no cost to my adopter. RAC staff is available to answer any questions regarding heartworms and my treatment. Pet is part of a bonded pair: Bee was found, along with a Doberman Mix, on 2/10/23 in the alley behind my house. After an hour I succeeded in luring her into my car. She is 9-years old, sweet, calm, kennel and house trained. She will attempt to jump and lay on your bed though, if you let her. She seems calm when she sees other dogs while taking her out on walks. She will stay next to you and not tug. She is also sweet with her sister the Doberman Mix. Although it looks like Bee's teeth are missing, the vet commented that they are partially present and that it seemed that she had been biting wood for a long time. She is not in pain though per the vet. When submitting an application for Bee, please submit an application for Honey, as I would like to keep them together.

This adorable and cutesy pup is Cindy. She arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/13 as a stray. Cindy is approx 1 year old, weighs 28 pounds and is not spayed. She is one life-of-the-party, fun-loving youngster with plenty of spunk and energy. She has an outgoing and carefree personality and there is nothing timid nor shy about her. Cindy will jump on you quite a bit. Like all youngsters, obedience and manners training would help her fit in better with her new family. She would seem best suited for an active person or family who would spend daily time playing with her, exercising her and teaching her some commands. She is playful and likes toys and balls. In the shelter yard Cindy had her nose to the ground and I was not able to get any shots of her looking into the camera. She was just way too fascinated with all the smells to pay attention to me. She is friendly and is a-ok with receiving loving attention...that is, once she slows down long enough!! If you are looking for a sweet and playful puppy to raise and are willing to invest time and effort in her, this may just be the dog for you!

Hello, my name is Petey! I am a 4 year old neutered male American Bulldog mix that weighs around 80 Lbs. I was found off of Santa Fe Lane in Rockwall on 10/26/22 and never reclaimed. I am a fairly calm boy that doesn't jump when meeting new people. I would need to be the only pet in the home due to me preferring not to share my space. I am great with people, and I love being a couch potato. I can be playful at times, but I really enjoy leisurely walks most of all, so I can take in all the sights, smells and sounds. Mostly smells and sounds. You see, I have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye that requires someone to apply lubricating eye drops to my eyes twice a day. I was recently diagnosed and due to my condition going untreated for so long, I've developed some scar tissue over my eyes. I can see just not 100%. The eye drops help tremendously and are very affordable. A side from the daily eye drops no other long term medical treatment for my eyes are necessary. Besides, being walked, I like to sing on occasion although I don't know if I am in key. So feel free to join in at any time!
