Story
Ulo – The Desert Survivor Turned Snuggle King - Sweater Model Once just a shadow darting across Ring cameras in the Palmdale desert, skinny, alone, and chased by coyotes, Ulo fought every day to see another sunrise. Then, at a magical 2 am, he found the courage to step into the backyard of a kind couple, and for the first time in a long while, he was safe. Today, Ulo has blossomed into the ultimate companion. This sleek, sweater-loving heartthrob has traded fear for couch cuddles, and long, lonely nights for falling asleep curled up against his foster dad. He makes the teenage son laugh, models every outfit as if he were born for the runway (black dogs wear it best), and reminds everyone daily of how beautiful second chances can be. Ulo isn’t just handsome—he’s bold, funny, resilient, and full of love just waiting to be shared. And is it just us, or does he look almost human? The way he props himself up on the sofa with his arm stretched out... like he’s about to ask you how your day was. Ulo’s got his chubby little paws crossed, hoping his forever family is out there, ready to share his snuggles, cheer on his goofy sweater fashion shows, and write the next chapter of his happily-ever-after. Quick Facts About Ulo- Fully vetted & microchipped- • Super smart • Certified stunner • Professional sweater model • World-class snuggler • Just 2 years old • Thriving in a loving foster home • Great with kids • Would prefer no cats (he’s convinced they’re undercover spies working for the coyotes). Please submit an inquiry or email adoptfoster@startswithonetoday.com to learn more about Ulo.

Story
Are you my forever family? Rosie has the perfect blend of sweetness, silliness, smarts, and snuggles, with just enough sass to keep you laughing. She’s about 1 year old, full of life, love, and a little bit of goofball magic. She’s great on leash, wonderfully receptive to training, and her snack skills are Olympic-level. She’s full of adorable little Rosie-isms, from her soft, squishy “please love me” face to leaning her whole body into you for comfort or gently resting her head on your shoulder, as if to say, “This feels right. You’re my person.” Rosie had a rough start to life, but instead of hardening her, it made her grateful. Every bit of kindness, every pet, cuddle, and kind word is met with tail wags and eyes that say thank you. She’s great with other dogs and cats and would fit into just about any loving home. With her flying-nun ears and rich chocolate coat that somehow looks extra cute in pink and blue (yes, she’s got signature colors), she's perfect. She loves her toys, adores her walks, and will happily join you for any adventure — but at her core, Rosie is a snuggler. Rosie is fully vetted, vaccinated, and ready to go home! Please submit an inquiry. Her favorite place in the world will always be next to her people. Sometimes the most extraordinary dogs come in the form of a humble heart, a wiggly butt, and a soft face that wants to rest against yours. Please submit an inquiry.

Story
Frida is an incredibly sweet, cuddly and special girl. We found her abandoned at a truck stop along the 5 on Thanksgiving day. She is ~1.5 years old, 40 lbs, and healthy. She is extremely friendly and sociable with other dogs as well as humans and displays zero signs of aggression. We’ve loved caring for Frida while we try to find the best and most loving forever home for this very special girl. Frida is equally happy lounging around the house all day as she is running laps around the dog park. She does suffer from separation anxiety, so I feel she would do best in a household where the owner works from home and/or has other dogs (as being with other dogs seems to alleviate her anxiety). Happy to send more pics or videos and schedule a time for you to meet Frida (I promise you will fall in love)! We have spent ~$2k to date on supplies, vax and medical care for Frida so the adoption fee is intended to cover a portion of this (including remaining 2mo supply of Simparica Trio).

Story
Meet Loki Loki is a wiggly, affectionate, and endlessly social dog with pure white fur splashed with charcoal spots, a piglet-pink face, and a perfectly heart-shaped nose. He looks like a dream of happiness painted him, and his ears are so aerodynamic and expressive that they deserve their own wind advisory. Age & Size: • 15 months old • 45 pounds of pure huggable joy About Loki: After being tethered to a fence for most of his early days, Loki is finally free — no chains, no limits, just sky, grass, and the joy of being a dog. Now, he runs like a white jackrabbit with a jetpack (and honestly, it looks like he might lift off with those ears!). He’s got “I love this life!” energy in everything he does — whether zooming through the yard, riding shotgun in the car, or napping like royalty on his hammock bed. Personality: • Wiggly, affectionate, and endlessly social • Loves to weave around your legs, asking for cuddles • Great with other dogs — big or small • Playful, puppy-spirited energy For homes with resident dogs, he loves to engage and is excited to play. Cats: He’s still learning his feline manners — a work in progress, but improving every day. Health & Care: • Fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and healthy • Loki’s trachea is a bit delicate from being tethered too tightly in his past life. He uses a specialty leash (which he has already been trained on!) and will do best in a fenced yard where he can safely play and explore. He’s perfectly happy, healthy, and nothing about this slows him down one bit. In Summary: Give him space to zoom, love to soak in, and sunshine to nap under — and Loki will give you a lifetime of joy, laughter, and love. Loki: part rabbit, part cloud, 100% joy. *Please submit an inquiry or email adoptfoster@startswithonetoday.com

Story
This handsome Boxer/Pit mix is turning 3 years old on January 25, 2026, and at 80 lbs of pure love, he’s ready to find his perfect forever home. Moose is truly a people dog—deeply loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he’s right by your side. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who loves to snuggle, this sweet boy is your match. At home, he is calm, gentle, and loving. He is fully house trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to a structured home. While he’s confident and relaxed indoors, the outside world can still feel a little scary for him. He’s a sensitive soul who needs confidence-building, but with consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, he is going to absolutely thrive. He does get excited to meet other dogs in the home, but can feel overwhelmed with dogs out in public. He also gets a jealous when sharing attention, so he would do best as the only dog in the home, or with an experienced owner who understands these possessive behaviors and is committed to continued training. He is wonderful with adults, though new people meeting him should of course go slowly. We have not seen him around kids. He does need daily exercise and enrichment, which will not only keep him happy and healthy—but will also help build his confidence even more, to aid in stopping the possessive behaviors. This boy has so much love to give and just needs the right person to help him blossom into the confident, happy dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will adore you endlessly, he might just be your perfect match. ❤️
