I’ve had a bit of a rough year as an Eaton Fire survivor and lost my home, but I’m ready for a fresh start with someone who gets me.I’m an 80-pound gentle giant — calm and sweet. I’m potty trained, never jump, and I’m super respectful when humans are eating. I`m great with all people including kids, and just want to be petted and loved. At first, I might be a little nervous, but give me some time and I’ll melt right into your lap for cuddles.I sleep through the night in my dog bed, and I’m a good boy when left home alone — no chewing or messes. I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog because I get a bit reactive around other pups. I’m a strong boy and sometimes pull on the leash while walking, so I need a confident adopter who can handle me.I love soaking up under the sun, I’m low maintenance, and all I really want is your love. Monica is a very sweet but anxious girl. She is medicated for her anxiety. She loves people and cuddling but has boundary problems in the amount of attention that she needs. Monica struggles with other dogs. While not outright aggressive she needs to feel dominant and will do her best to dominate other dogs in the household. I adopted Monica in 2022. She was previously owned by an unhoused man for the first six months of her life. I've recently moved in with my girlfriend who has a small dog who Monica consistently seeks to dominate. I have spent literally thousands of dollars on training but cannot afford to spend any more. As a result she spends a fair portion of her time in her room (a second bedroom) alone. I want nothing more than a good life for her and feel that I cannot currently provide it. Its my goal to get her to a home with an experienced owner who can handle a dog of her needs. Thank you.

Surrendered by her owner on October 24, 2025, Bella is described as incredibly sweet but also a little nervous and unsure in the shelter. She’s gentle and tolerant, but her body language in the kennel suggests she’s overwhelmed by the environment and needs time to decompress. Bella walks nicely on leash, appears housebroken, and has a calm, low-energy personality. She’s tolerant of other dogs but should be the only pet in her new home due to a prior history of conflict with a housemate.
