Story
Meet Anubis, a handsome boy who loves a good game of tug-of-war, fetch, and then-get ready-the zoomies! Anubis is a curious observer- he loves gazing out the window and keeping tabs on the neighborhood happenings. He's crate savvy and his previous home allowed him to go in and out of this safe space as he pleased. Volunteers tell us that Anubis likes to lead the way when out exploring, but if they stop walking, he'll return to their side and responds well to requests for "sit" and "down" -- and loves treats tossed on the ground!Anubis would thrive with an active adopter who can match his playful energy and provide him with structure, love, and a spot by the window. Anubis objects to sharing food and toys with people and other animals so will only be adopted to a family without children or with kids at least 10 years of age.Anubis is what we lovingly call a Golden Nugget - a pet whose shine only grows brighter once you take the time to know him. He's ready to surprise you and charm you. Primary Color: Tri Color Secondary Color: Brindle Weight: 45.6 Age: 3yrs 11mths 1wks

Story
Meet William! William and his brothers got a tough start to life — they were dropped off at a shelter at just 6 weeks old, tiny, hungry, and so small everyone thought they were Chihuahuas! Plot twist: they’re actually itty-bitty pitties William made his way to EAPL at 8 weeks old and has been thriving ever since. He’s the sweet, snuggly, smart middle sibling and the perfect balance of playful and calm. He loves romping around with the other dogs in his foster home. William would do best in a home with a little structure and would be thrilled to have another dog buddy — and possibly even a cat friend! He’s about 95% house-trained, does great in his crate, and is learning all the good-boy basics like a champ. &#226&#156&#168 The details: • Adoption fee: $375 If you’re ready for puppy kisses, wiggle-butt greetings, and a loyal best friend, William is waiting to meet you! Story
From foster - Farrah is an amazing girl!! She is very sweet and a bit timid but also super loving and gentle! She's very good with boundaries and understanding where she is and isn't supposed to be or jump on. When I first got her, she had a cone on and was a bit timid, but opened up so much! She is a gentle and kind soul who would do great with someone who wants to see her flourish. After just a couple of days, she was bounding around, being goofy, and her true personality came out!She has moments of being super playful and silly, running around the apartment or park. But she isn't bursting with energy where she needs to be running all the time. So, I think as long as there are walking paths nearby, she would be good in an apartment as well as a house. She is very smart and I was able to teach her how to 'sit' with hand motions and she would do it even without a treat after 2 days of practice! I was working on 'stay' with her as well.I let her interact with a couple of other dogs, and in both cases she was very friendly and submissive and both dogs warmed up to her immediately. She is also friendly with cats. She is good with both men and women, and I think she would be good with kids as well. I didn't see her with babies or toddlers so I can't speak to that. She loves HEB Heritage Ranch Pumpkin treats! I fed her Purina Beneful Happy Puppy and she gobbled it right up. She likes soft toys and a bed with a bolster.
