Story
This little donkey is really a dog. He's stout and he's sweet, and he'd be up for a jog. Patient and kind, with a face like a dove. Yes, this little donkey is ready for love. So, open your heart for this smooshable face, for this little donkey needs a new place! Semi is top dog when it comes to cuddles. I really really love my sister Smoochie. I am a big fan of cookies and treats; however, they need to be made without chicken as I am allergic! Give me all the beef! I can be a little scared when there are too many people running around me and would love a home with older people so I can be safe. I love going on walks and can spend hours outside with you doing just that. I am also a little warrior and survived Lymphoma in 2017. Cancer free baby! I'm looking for my perfect furrever home. Is that you?I am currently being fostered with my sister, Smoochie 1404-22. If you would like to meet me, you will have to meet my sister as well as we are a bonded pair. Please call the Animal Shelter at 678-965-7185 or send an email to adoptions@forsythco.com to set up an appointment for a meet and greet.

Story
Hi! My name is Smoochie, and the thing I love most about this world are my tennis balls. I may be 9 years-old, but I am still young at heart. I love to go for walks and play fetch with said tennis balls. I also really really love my brother Semi. I am a big fan of cookies and treats; however, I can be a little scared when there are too many people running around me and would love a home with older people so I can be safe. I am also scared of fireworks and thunder; they are just so loud and scary! I do well with my brother, but I have not really had a chance to meet any other of my fellow furry friends. If you're looking for a dog that'll win you gold medal at fetch tournaments, I'm your girl!I am currently being fostered with my brother Semi 1405-22. If you would like to meet me you will have to meet my brother as well as we are a bonded pair. Please call the Animal Shelter at 678-965-7185 or send an email to adoptions@forsythco.com to set up an appointment for a meet and greet.

Story
Hi! I’m Fernanda, a 7-year-old gal with a smile so bright that my eyes sparkle.  I’m already house, crate, and leash-trained,  so  I am a turn-key, ready-to-go pup.  I maintain my girlish figure of 55 lbs with my playful nature, and  I’m not shy to invite you to play with me, especially the game of fetch.  I’m particularly proud of my fetching skills and retrieving every throw without fail.  In addition to fielding balls, I love to run and simply play, so a fenced-in yard would be perfect for me! My happy demeanor spills over to those around me.  My infectious smile and wagging tail will no doubt brighten your mood.   I  truly am a people pup -  I love everyone!   I enjoy curling up next to my people offering warm companionship. Children are very good buddies of mine because they love to play, and that makes me a big hit with the kiddos! I would particularly flourish in a home with lots of love and attention, especially in a single-pet home.   I’m looking forward to bringing sunshine to my forever home soon.       An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.     Meet Wonder Girl! Wonder Girl is a perfect example of a dog's resilience; she has come a long way from her timid/skittish personality to the outgoing girl she is today. She now lets perfect strangers pet her, something her foster never thought would happen.  Wonder Girl is a five-year-old, forty-pound, bubbly girl with unusual but gorgeous coloring (see her photos). She has lots of energy, so a fenced yard where she can run is necessary for you and her. Wonder Girl enjoys playing with other dogs, so a dog friend close to her size and energy level will help you and build her confidence. Wonder Girl is a world-class sunbather and a lover of soft blankets, and she is house, leash, and crate-trained.  Wonder Girl is not just a playful companion but also a vigilant watchdog, always on the alert to warn you of visitors at your door or squirrels in your yard. Her superstar personality shines through in her interactions, making her an ideal companion. While she adores children, her high energy makes her better suited to older kids.     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue. *Some of our animals receive a high volume of applications, and we strive to select the best home for each animal.       My name is Gianna and I surely need a hero, and if you are my hero, I will pay you back a million times over with love, loyalty, fun, and entertainment value. The people who know me best call me “meatball” because, at 49 pounds, I’m a perfectly sized little “pocket-pittie.”  I’m 10.5 years old with lots of energy to play ball and take walks, but I also enjoy taking time to chill. I love sunshine and rolling in the grass. Everyone says my best attribute is my personality because I’m super smart, engaging, and fun. If you are looking, not just for a dog, but a real-life companion who will make you laugh and smile, and be your friend, then I’m your girl.  For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online at http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.           July 26, 2024, 3:36 pm

Meet Your New Best Friend! This adorable, sweet, and very friendly dog is just about housetrained and loves children/adults/dogs. He gets along splendidly with other dogs and cats, needing a forever home with another playful dog to keep him company. His activity level is medium; he enjoys playing chase and wrestling, but also loves to snuggle up for some quiet time. Adjectives to Describe Him: Adorable Sweet Very friendly Obedient Non-aggressive What Makes Him Special:  He listens and takes direction well from both humans and other dogs. He’s not just adorable with his sleepy eyes, but also has a unique quirk where he likes to lick the inside of larger dogs’ mouths, as if performing a dental exam. This silly and endearing behavior is just one example of his great personality. Favorite Activities:  He loves chasing a ball and chewing on bones and toys. He also lthrough in everything he does. Cuddling Behavior:  He’s medium-affectionate and would likely be even more so in a home with fewer dogs competing for attention. He enjoys snuggling up and being close to his people. What He’s Telling You:  When you look into his eyes, he’s saying, “Please find me an amazing forever home with a loving family and a playful dog to wrestle and snuggle with.” Brief History:  He was found abandoned as a tiny puppy in a box with his siblings. Thankfully, he was rescued and has grown into a sweet pre-teen, ready to find his forever home. Ideal Home:  His ideal forever home would include another playful dog of any size, type, or gender. He needs a family that will love him, give him the attention and affection he craves, and be patient as he transitions into his new home. Imagine Him in Your Home:  Picture him coming into your home, checking everything out, finding a cozy dog bed to snuggle up in, and starting to play with your other dog. He’ll quickly become a cherished member of your family, taking direction from his new furry sibling and fitting in perfectly.   This all-around fantastic dog is waiting for his forever home. Story
Are you looking for a snuggle buddy and constant companion? Nylaa is your girl! Nylaa is a 3 year old, pittie mixed-breed, at a perfect size of 50 pounds. She is 100% house trained and crate trained, loves to play with other dogs, and absolutely LOVES children! However, Nylaa would prefer a household without cats. She is medium energy - she would love a fenced yard to do her zoomies and sunbathe (though a fenced yard is not a requirement). She also loves leash walks. She is also very happy to lay on the couch and watch TV with her people or sit at your feet while you work.    Nylaa takes a little while to warm up to new people that come into her home (she will bark at them initially), but once she's comfortable, she is truly everyone's best friend! Nylaa needs a family that can be patient with her when new people come over, but the good news is she doesn't mind the crate at all, so she can easily be put up when a repair person comes, etc.  Nylaa does excellent when meeting people and other dogs outside the home (vet, walks, parks, etc). Nylaa currently lives with a 5 year old and 9 year old child and she absolutely adores them. She prefers to sleep in bed with one of her humans!     Nylaa hopes to find her forever family very soon!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
We adopted Sampson from the humane society when he was 12 weeks old. He has lived with us his whole life (almost 9 years) and has been a great dog. He is very affectionate and gentle with our two young boys. He is energetic and excited to meet new people (often a little too excited). He is great with dogs that are smaller than him but sometimes gets a little defensive with larger dogs. Sampson loves to go on walks, lay in the sun, lick toes, and chase birds/bugs/squirrels. About a year ago Sampson injured his back legs, partially rupturing his cranial cruciate ligaments in both legs. He was under restricted movement for several months and has made a great recovery, though his knees still crack/pop when climbing the stairs and he gets sore/limpy if he runs around too vigorously. Sampson does not like being crated. He currently stays out when we leave the house and rarely causes any issues. However, he does have strong anxiety around thunderstorms, which can be a challenge.

Story
Jackson is a handsome 7-year-old boy and weighs 80-ish lbs. Because he is a larger love bug who doesn't know his size, he would do best in a home with teenage children. Although Jackson is deaf, he is VERY trainable and has responded well to learning hand signals with his foster mom. He has laser focus whenever his toys or treats are involved. He is very snuggly-and likes to think he's a lap dog, despite his size! Jackson is potty trained, neutered, microchipped and fully vaccinated. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that all of your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter, and are a foster-home based organization. Other than meeting our babies at events, we do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a homecheck prior to adoption.
