Story
Meet Rufus Rockstar! Personality: Rufus Rockstar is a sweet and loving young pup who's ready to shine with the right support! At 7 months old, Rufus, a pit mix, is still very much a puppy, full of energy, curiosity, and a desire to please. He's food-motivated and quick to make friends with new people (though he’s a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to unfamiliar things).  What Rufus Needs: Rufus is looking for a patient and understanding home where he can get the structure and guidance he needs. He’s come a long way with his training (he already knows sit and down!), but will still benefit from a calm, structured environment to help him build confidence.  Rufus needs an experienced dog parent who can help him continue to develop good habits and make him feel safe in the world around him. While Rufus is dog-friendly, he’s still learning how to play appropriately, so he would do best with a tolerant dog due to the fact he can be a bit overzealous in his playstyle and a person who can step in and help set boundaries for him. Rufus is also on the shy side, so a quiet household with minimal new people would be the best fit for him as he builds his confidence. He’s already had some training, and with your help, he’ll continue to improve. Rufus’s Ideal Home: No kids, and a quiet household would be ideal for Rufus. A dog-savvy person or family who can help him with boundary setting and socialization. A calm, patient environment where Rufus can grow and thrive. If you’re ready to help this little rockstar find his groove and give him the loving home he deserves, please complete an adoption application to get started. He can’t wait to meet his forever family!       An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Where are all the Harry Potter fans? If you adore Dobby, then Frannie Hope is about to steal your heart! This adorable four-year-old pitty mix is a petite bundle of joy, weighing just under 50 pounds. Her brindle coat and warm brown eyes are simply stunning, but it’s her personality that truly shines. And those ears? Pure Dobby vibes! You can’t help but smile when you see her wagging tail and hear her excited greetings—she’s as loyal and loving as the beloved house-elf himself.   Frannie Hope is fully housebroken and crate-trained, making her the perfect companion. Though she’s a bit shy at first, she warms up quickly with treats and patience, showing off her sweet and playful side. She even has the cutest dimples or wrinkles near her mouth when she’s happy—it looks like she’s smiling! Frannie loves belly rubs, soft pets, and snuggling up for a nap (complete with adorable little snores).   This lovely girl gets along well with dogs of all sizes but hasn’t been tested with young children yet. She’s curious about birds and squirrels, so cats might not be her thing. Frannie does bark at unfamiliar visitors or things outside, making her better suited for homes without shared walls like apartments or townhomes.   While Frannie isn’t into playing with toys just yet, she enjoys chewing on bones or chew toys and is not destructive in the home. She’s treat-motivated and knows basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and “wait,” while working on “touch,” “down,” and “leave it.” Her leash skills are improving daily, and she loves romping around in a fenced yard—her playful hops might even remind you of Tigger from Winnie the Pooh!   Frannie Hope is looking for someone to love her unconditionally, make her feel safe, and give her time to adjust to a new environment. Once she feels comfortable, she’ll be your loyal best friend—just like Dobby! Story
Darrell is 1 1/2 years-old (04/27/23), not a teeny guy, more of a biggy puppy, and his foster sister, Miss Fifi, 9 pounds with her collar on, really hopes you will consider adopting him, and of course, she is being selfish about the whole thing, because it is not easy having such a big cuddly foster brother. Squash, squish, smash all day long, here comes Darrell in for a hug...ugg!     Now Darrell is a good boy, potty trained, never jumps up on people, comes when you call, sits for a treat, sleeps on the bed, and shreds paper when he can. People say he is handsome, wonderful, mannerly, and a social butterfly. He loves to play with other dogs, big and small.     So, please save Fifi and adopt Darrell. She can't believe I took Darrell as a foster, but I did; he was a poor, homeless, pitiful puppy then, and I didn't know he was related to Shrek. I will be in the dog house with Fifi until I can get him adopted and bring home a little lap-size dog for her to mentor. I'm not saying that Darrell won't sit in your lap; he certainly will and give you the squish-squash.              An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.  http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms     Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. Story
What's not to love about me? I'm a cute, petite, super snuggler and I heard a guy named Rick wrote a song about me!!! I'm Jessie Girl. They say I'm a boxer mix, but I'm not even 40 pounds. Fommy thinks I might have some Boston terrier in me, which would explain a few things. I love the other dogs in my foster home, but I would not be good on a farm. Little critters trigger my "chase" drive, so please do not bring cats or rabbits.   I'm a super snuggler who loves to be under the covers - and that's any covers; I'm not picky, but I especially love to be under yours so I can be all warm and cozy. I'm house-trained and crate-trained, but I don't walk nicely on a leash. However, with lots of patience and training, you can teach me. You see, I'm pretty unruly on walks and even scream when overexcited, so teaching me how to redirect and refocus would be our number one priority. But a home with a nice, secure, tall fence will be great. That way, I won't get the leash crazies. I'm just a simple family girl out here looking for her forever life. If that might be you, let's meet to see!       For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Hi! My name is Norbert, but my foster mom calls me Bert.  I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix (we think), and I'm about 5 months old, and (right now) I weigh about 30 pounds but have some growing to do. I am also great with kids, dogs, and cats! My only "less than perfect" trait is - I bark for a while until I settle down in my crate. I don't like being alone. So I would be great with someone who is home a lot but not an apartment or shared wall townhome for me.  My foster family says I am a GREAT puppy. They  take me to baseball and softball games, and I am the best boy—so well-behaved!   I am also playful, very smart, and learning all sorts of commands, like sit, down, and  come. I enjoy my toys and love being outside, but my favorite thing is to cuddle up in your lap.  Do you need a buddy to take you to the park, to help you find sticks, cuddle   on  t he couch, or lay or play at your feet while you work?  If so, I am your guy and can’t wait to meet you! Here is link to all of my new photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjC8LQu Complete an adoption application at the website below, and meet me! He is lean and athletic and loves running and could probably command a naval fleet if needed.  Admiral will make the perfect companion for an active family.    Admiral is house and crate-trained and comes with a special escape-proof crate.  As a famous Admiral, he does need a fenced yard to run off his excess energy.  And a dog companion who likes to play and is around Admiral's size makes it easy to help this energetic guy settle down Admiral loves other dogs, playing, wrestling, chasing, and being chased. This handsome senior guy is ready for his own home where he gets lots of attention, play, and just being active! Just look at that goofy smile.
