Story
Bruno is a sweet loving boy who needs a home with a large area for him to play and maybe a few kids. He is unaware of his size and can sometimes scare smaller dogs with his size + energy, but he is not aggressive AT ALL. Small children and toddlers may get unintentionally hurt pr knocked over by his energetic love… so older kids are probably best. He is very smart and eager to please, so he is very trainable. I have done my best but I’m too busy to give him the proper training he needs and I don’t have the space to keep him. He was supposed to be a foster that I’ve had for 4 years now. He is a sweetheart and I love him, I just can’t afford him nor do I have the room for all his energy.

Story
My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!My name is Gracie—and I am well-named! My previous owner reported that I was affectionate, housetrained, and good with kids! Shelter staff have found me to be sweet, attentive, and delighted about walks and treats. I have a steady, sweet personality. I was surrendered to the shelter because I was not getting along with the other female dog in the home. I may be dog selective (meaning I like some other dogs, and don`t get along with others) or I may do best as an only dog. Slow introductions with any other pets are recommended. Please think about the positives in Gracie and give her a chance!Gracie went on an adventure away from the shelter, and her adventure buddy had wonderful things to say about her:`Gracie hopped right into the car to sit quietly in the backseat for the drive to Blackwood Farm Park. As we went on a 3-mile hike through the meadows at the park, Gracie was very good on the leash and did not pull. She clearly loved being out on the trails and checking out the new scents. She had such a happy attitude it made the hike even more enjoyable for me and my husband. There were other people and dogs at the park and it was nice to see that Gracie was not reactive to any of the dogs. She just watched them quietly for a few moments before turning her attention to something else. Gracie was fun to be around and an excellent companion.` I am currently available in my foster home. My adoption fee has been partially sponsored. Adopt me and pay only $50.00!Hey there, my name is Teddy! I am a sweet and energetic boy looking for his forever home. I love treats, meeting new people, and going on walks! I arrived at the shelter as a stray, so not much previous infomation is known about me. please ask staff if you have any questions. Our sweet boy Teddy went on a field trip and here are the lovely things his adventure buddies had to say about him:`We really enjoyed hiking at Blackwood Farm Park with Teddy. He was a little shy when we first met him, but then he quickly showed his super sweet and affectionate personality. He seemed to especially like my husband, and wanted to rest his head against him whenever we stopped for a break. We got the feeling that he will really blossom when he finds his forever home. He did pull on the leash, so he could use some leash training. We both think Teddy will make a great addition to some lucky family.`Notes from Teddy`s foster family:`Teddy is a really great dog and we strongly believe once someone decides to come meet him they`ll fall in love. He`s learning how to be affectionate, and plays very well with our dog. They take breaks, he stays bouncy, and takes turns chasing. His biggest struggle is just getting into things or chewing. He does understand where the toy bin is, and we can pretty consistently re-direct him now. However, we still need to monitor him, but we have seen growth and give him more freedom to lounge on the couch and outside. He`s taken to a leash extremely well, only bunnies and cats completely steal his attention. He was nervous around cars initially, but we`ve managed to pair with treats and now he looks to us when they pass :) Additionally, he`s totally unreactive to anything that we pass. Whether it be a reactive dog behind a fence or one we`re passing. He tends to just pull away and to the side or look to us for a treat. Really good default leash behavior :) Mild interest in bikes, strollers, etc but easily re-directed when prompted for attention. He is still a countertop surfer so he can use more help and training with that.He is such a great dog. Loves to play, will lay & cuddle. Agreeable for going to his ke

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!Hi there! My name is Phineas. I am a large-sized, energetic and smart fella. When you’re out with me, be prepared to attract attention because I am very handsome! I enjoy playing outside, learning new things and eating yummy treats. Don’t let my size stop you--I’ve interacted well with the shelter team and seem responsive to training. I walk well on a leash, and love to smell the smells. I know a solid ‘sit’ and take treats nicely. I am very food motivated and would appreciate a safe space to enjoy food and treats away from other animals. I have so much love to give and can`t wait to meet you :) Please ask the front for more information about me!

Hi there! My name is Deuce. I am a medium sized, strong and curious fella looking for a furever home. I enjoy being outside, eating yummy treats and learning new things. Volunteers say I am a great running friend and stick pretty consitant to the path!My previous owners mentioned that I was primarily kept outside, loved chew toys, good on car rides and used to staying in fence (but tended to escape). I was unable to stay in my previous home due to me not doing well around the children. I can also be weary of new people and head shy so I will need my new family to be patience and go slow with me as I adjust to my new environment. I love treats and would appreciate training to help me build my confidence :) Please ask staff if you have any questions about me.

Story
Hi there, my name is Drew! I am an energetic and affectionate young pup who loves treats. I already know `sit` and would love someone to teach me some more tricks! I have sometimes gotten possessive about things like toys and people, and would appreciate a kind and patient home that is willing to work with me on this. For this reason, I would likely do best in a home without young children. But I`ve been on adventures outside of the shelter and my human companions report that I am very sweet and have good leash manners. I hope someone will give me a chance to impress them when I get into my new home! I know we can be best friends!Insights from Drew`s adventure buddy/sleepover host:Don’t let the forehead wrinkles fool you - this guy is young and playful. He`s inquisitive, everything becomes a game - making the bed turns into “hide and seek”, vacuuming turns up a lost ball under the bed and laundry….well, nobody likes laundry but this pup checks for loose socks and makes you feel like a hero! Refrigerators and dishwashers are magical machines through his eyes.We don’t know much about Drew’s past but chances are there was scarcity, he came to the shelter as an underweight stray. His walking manners are superb. He’s quiet and when given regular bathroom breaks, quickly understood the basic skills of house training in two short days during his break from the shelter.
