Story
Daisy is very sweet and affectionate, and she has one of the funniest and quirkiest personalities I've ever seen in a dog. She is consistently fantastic with adults, but her social skills with other dogs and cats aren't great. I have never seen Daisy interact with kids, but I suspect she would do fine with them. Daisy has a heart condition that she regularly takes medication for. Rigorous exercise (i.e. extended bouts of sprinting outdoors) should generally be avoided, which is fine since she is generally a couch potato. I'm seeking a new home for Daisy for a number of reasons that all pretty much boil down to cost of living. Daisy is a delightful dog, and all I want for her is to have a stable home that can comfortably afford a dog.

My adoption fee has been fully sponsored. Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!Hi There! Benny Boy is a playful, large boy who has had sleepeovers where he played with toys, was comfortable in the home, loved his couch and being handled. Knows sit, responsive on the leash, enjoys a great roll in the grass. A chill friendly guy who would love a home where he`s treated like one of the family. He has been at OCAS for 100 days or more. Please consider taking a second look at this wonderful boy. Staff has noted that while here, he have been friendly towards new people, appear to be housetrained, and have done with with medical exams. Staff still recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the homeINSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Benny Boy came over for a sleepover and he was a very good boy. He was respectful in the home. No jumping, counter surfing or trying to take food. I actually ate near him several times and he just laid next to me without even begging. He can be a little particular about treats, mostly preferring chicken and other meat treats. He can hold a sit and be patient. We took him on several walks. He is quite strong and does pull at times, but after the first walk he did s

Meet sweet Clara! This laid back girl has a lot of love to give!Foster notes on Clara:`Clara was a little shy at first, but once she warmed up to us was super sweet. She did well on a leash and was friendly towards other people. She liked exploring outside and was happy on the car ride. Overall a super chill and sweet dog! She was super sweet and loved being petted.``Clara is such a sweet girl! She is a little shy at first, but loosened up after a while. She did not pull on the leash at all on our walk at Johnston Mill Nature Preserve. In fact, I was encouraging her to move a little faster at times because she was fascinated by all the smells. When we came across people and dogs, she was pretty chill and maybe a little nervous. She came back to my house and we had a nice nap. She was cuddled beside me the whole time and did not want to get off the bed to go back to the shelter. If I could keep a dog where I live, I would definitely adopt her. Clara`s demeanor is shy and sweet. She is super mellow, but got more pep in her step after she got to know me a bit.`

Story
Chester is a super sweet boy who LOVES attention and affection! He came to OCAS as a stray and was a bit underweight, but he`s eating well and doing great! He`s a total lovebug! His adventure buddies report that he can be a little restless on car rides, but he walks well on leash and is a great hiking companion. His foster family also reports that he did really well in their home, and he did well with another dog (the dogs didn`t become best friends but they got along with each other just fine). He would likely do best in a home without cats. He knows some basic commands and seems housetrained! Chester will make a great addition to some lucky home!Foster notes on Chester:`Chester is such a sweet, affectionate, friendly, and energetic dog. He is always happy and loves everyone. We took him for a hike at Carolina North Forest and he totally LOVED it. He is a great outdoor companion and is a very good hiker. We went 3 miles and he was still strong at the end. Afterward we stopped for a pup cup which Chester also loved. He is so cheerful and full of love and affection that I think he would make a great dog for any family that is able to give him long walks or has another dog he can play with to burn off energy.``Chester was absolutely amazing! He was a very headstrong dog that was hilariously food/treat driven. He was amazing on his walks, and had an adorable curiosity of everything he came across. When other dogs walked by, he wouldn’t bark, but would show interest without being overly aggressive. He was also amazing in the car! We 100% want to come back for another day out with Chester soon!!``Chester is a mellow, easygoing guy with a big love for treats. On his long car ride to Blue Dog Farm, he was a bit anxious, so a car leash is recommended for safety. Once we arrived, he happily sniffed and munched on grass during our walk to the dog playground. He wasn’t interested in running, but he did enjoy exploring. We did move him to another area since he was eager to snack on acorns, which can upset a dog’s stomach.Chester was especially friendly when meeting the owner and his wife, approaching them with a happy, social manner. When the owner’s dogs accidentally slipped out and rushed toward him, Chester handled it calmly—he gave one strong bark to the pushiest dog, then let the situation de-escalate on its own. Afterward, he carried on without fuss. He showed little interest in the alpacas on the property and only mild c
