Do you know what the sweetest thing in all the world is? A pittie puppy! And I happen to be the sweetest of all! I cant wait to meet you. I'm potty trained, crate trained, and I LOVE playtime. I dont always love to share my food and toys so would do best in a home with kids over 10 and no other pets. Id love if my adopter would keep working with me on training for this!! Can I be your happy go lucky adventure and snuggle buddy?

Story
Hi there! My name is Money. I am a large sized, energetic and affectionate fella! I love to go for walks, eat yummy treats and learn new things. My previous owners said I was good with strangers, excited around dogs and good around cats. Staff still recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the home. They also mentioned I was crate trained, house trained, good on car rides, affectionate and used to being indoors and outdoors. I can pull on the leash and be mouthy when excited / overstimulated so I will need my new family to train with me and be patient while I adjust to my new environment.

Story
Hi there! My name is Cupid. I am a medium sized, energetic and affectionate gal. I love going for walks, eating yummy treats and learning new tricks! I would love a furever family that could take me on adventures because I am friendly and confident. I have met a male dog her at the shelter and was very excited to interact with him, but I will need to work on my doggie manners as I am easily excitable. Staff still recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the home. Please ask staff if you have any questions.

Hi there, my name is Green! I am a medium sized, energetic, and affectionate fella. I love to go for walks and play with fluffy toys! I have met another dog here at the shelter and did well. Staff recommends slow and monitored introductions to any new people and animals in the home. You may notice that my face is a bit unique. When I came into the shelter, staff noticed that I had an abnormal bone structure on the sides of my chin. A rescue helped me get a full work-up done, and they determined that it is likely an old healed fracture. It has not been causing me any problems, and no treatment is needed for it at this time. My adopter will receive all of my medical records to take to their veterinarian. If you have any questions, please ask shelter staff. Thank you for stopping by, and I hope we can be friends!

Story
PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS Monkey is a sweet, wiggly girl, who wants to be with her people. Her love language is definitely touch! She will wiggle and squirm her way closer until suddenly she's in your lap or at your side. She and her foster brother (a 4-yo male) coexist well, but she would also be happy being your one and only love. Because she wants to chase squirrels and other small animals, she needs a home without cats. Monkey is a strong and sturdy girl, and, given her bouncy, exuberant personality, a home without children under 10 will be best. Monkey's favorite activities include going for walks, exploring the woods, gazing out the window, snuggling, and playing with tennis balls. Monkey can entertain herself--she is happy to sit and chew on a bully stick, flip her toys up and catch them, window gaze, and daydream of squirrels. Oh! And light sleepers need not apply. This girl snores like a freight train! Monkey is smart; she has mastered Sit and Down, and is learning Roll Over. Monkey's leash manners are improving--she wears a Freedom Harness, which has been helpful, as has lots of praise and treats! Monk can be redirected pretty easily from her interest in squirrels. Recently, she has taken up jogging with her foster mom and is a big fan! She is getting more confident, enjoys visiting the leasing office of the apartment complex, where she wags and wiggles in true pibble fashion. Her foster mom is continuing to work with her on calm greetings. Monk is house-trained and crate-trained (although she does not prefer the crate). She can be left alone for up to 6 hours (that's the longest she's been alone at her foster home) and will be overjoyed when you return. If you are looking for a compact land hippo who will love you to the moon and back, Monkey is the dog for you! PHYSICAL Monkey has a milk chocolate coat, one adorably floppy ear, and such lovely jowls; white socks on all four paws, white chest markings, and the tiniest dip of white on the very tip of her tail. HEALTH Monkey is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative, and is taking Fluoxetine (Prozac). HISTORY Monkey was found in Durham by a Good Samaritan.

Story
Griffin is a charming young pup with a delightful personality! Smart, friendly and playful, he adores all toys, and is always up for an adventure. Eager to please and motivated by tasty treats, Griffin is attentive when practicing basic commands. Griffin is potty trained but likes to be accompanied to the yard. He sleeps through the night and is working on crate training. Griffin barks in his crate at night because he would prefer to sleep in a bed! Since Griffin is a puppy, he is very curious and wants to investigate everything. He is not destructive as long as he has some toys to chew and keep him busy. As a teething young pup, Griffin is a little mouthy but is easily distracted. Griffin would benefit from continued training on a leash. He pulls because he is very excited to see everything he can as he walks. He barks and pulls when passing people and dogs but is working on keeping eye contact with his walker. Griffin has a rambunctious, noisy play style, but he takes the lead from older dogs. He has interacted with children and is appropriate with them but can be a little jumpy. When he's not busy playing or training, Griffin wants nothing more than pets and snuggles. A lovable cuddle bug, he curls up right next to you when it's time for a snooze. Griffin will thrive in an environment that will keep him active, engaged, and supervised. He does well with another active dog who shows him how to be the best boy. Smart, spunky Griffin will only continue to blossom in a patient and loving forever home! Could that be you? HEALTH Griffin is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.

Story
Oh, you pretty things - handsome David Bowie is ready to rock your world! This affectionate boy enjoys spending time with his people, and you can see all the love in his adoring gaze. Once he connects with you, he wants to be right by your side! Preferring gentle canine companions, Bowie needs slow introductions with other dogs. He enjoys lounging in the fenced yard with adoptable Colette, but he would also be happy as your one and only Starman! Because he sometimes loses himself in playful energy, and would hate to mow down little ones, a home with adults or older kids would be best. House-trained and crate-trained, Bowie is eager to please. He is learning Sit, Down, and Wait, and he enjoys playing on agility ramps outside. After working on his social manners during playtime, Bowie is ready to chill out and be your favorite couch potato! He loves nothing better than a good belly rub. Bowie also adores going on walks in the park. On the trail, he visually checks in with his person, attentive to pacing and guidance. He wants to explore with you, and he likes car rides, too! Think of the fun places you could visit together! Active yet easygoing, Bowie will enjoy all kinds of adventures with his forever family. He can't wait to be your Diamond Dog! "I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring." -- (the real) David Bowie PHYSICAL David Bowie has a shiny black coat with white markings on his face, chest, and paws. Like his namesake, he has captivating eyes -- one soft blue and one dark amber. Aren't his perky ears the cutest? HEALTH David Bowie is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He is heartworm positive, requiring restricted exercise until his treatment is complete. Potential adopters will be given instructions on treatment procedures. HISTORY A kind community member pulled Bowie from a local shelter.

Are you looking for a pup who can tag along while you embark on your adventures and then snuggle up afterwards? Meet Kash, a young pup with the most soulful eyes and softest fur that you'll find almost impossible to resist! Kash is looking for his forever family and would love some friends (both human and four-legged) who understand and appreciate that he's still a little bit of a teen pup who loves to play and go on adventures! While technically still a pup, Kash has done an amazing job mastering crate-training and is working hard on his house-training. He hopes his new family will be able to help him continue his studies and become the best crate-trained and house-trained pupperoo in town! He also LOVES snuggling, so he would really love for his forever family to enjoy giving him some cuddles and scritches. He knows he can be a little demanding with wanting to cuddle, but with those puppy dog eyes and oh-so-soft fur, do you really want to say no to his sweet face? Don't let Kash wait any longer! Story
Hi there, my name is Stanley but my foster parents like to call me Stan the Man! I am a young, 1-2 year old pit bull terrier mix with the cutest under bite. I was found as a stray a few months ago and no one came to reclaim me. Thankfully Hope Animal Rescue came to my rescue and pulled me from the shelter. Now I am ready for my new life, hopefully it can be with you! Before we get ahead of ourselves, let me tell you a little more about me. Cuddling and being your shadow are my two favorite things (aside from my stuffed hedgehog toy). I LOVE people!! If you ever need anything you can count on me to be there to help! Some may call it a stage 5 clinger, but I say I'm just full of love. If you have a treat I will even tap my toes with excitement for it. I settle in my crate quickly and sleep through the night without any issues. I had heartworms when my foster mom first took me in, but guess what?! I just completed my final treatment and am feeling SO much better! My future adopters may just have to keep my walks/zoomies short for a few months while I fully heal. I PREFER couch time though, and love peanut butter kongs and lick mats, so I'm easily entertained indoors! I just completed training in a 3 week long board-and-train program where I learned skills including: sit, down, come, place, free, off, heel, leave it, drop and quiet. Wow what a smart boy! Leash walking is something that I've made huge improvements with through the use of training and an E collar, however walks can still be somewhere overstimulating for me when I see other people and dogs. I'm looking for a special owner who is patient and can continue my training and work around reactivity! We are asking that I be considered for an adult only home with no fur siblings. While I was able to be crated and sleep next to other dogs at my board and train, other dogs aren't really my jam, I prefer to be your one and only! I am so happy I was given a second chance, now all I need is my forever home. If you are interested in Stanley, fill out an application!
