Diana is a brindle and white girl of about one to two years old and roughly 40 pounds, with a wide white blaze down her face, a brindle patch over each ear like a pair of mismatched sunglasses, and a white tipped tail that never stops moving. If you already have a dog at home, this is the part to read. Diana is absolutely incredible with other dogs. Not tolerant of them, not fine with them. Incredible. She is gentle in how she plays, she is submissive with dogs and people both, and she is never the one who starts anything. On her own at the shelter she is a different dog. Quiet, reserved, a little unsure of herself. Put another dog beside her and she comes all the way out of her shell and stays out. She will fling a ball around the yard all afternoon and then flop into the grass for belly rubs once she has worn herself out. So we want to be direct about what she needs. Diana needs a home with another dog in it, and that dog needs to be a confident one. This is not a nice extra for her. A self assured canine sibling is what brings out the dog we see in the yard, and without one she tends to shrink back. If you have a steady dog who would like a friend, you are the home we are describing. She is off to a strong start otherwise. She knows sit, and she appears to be house trained. At around 40 pounds she is an easy size to live with, and she is past the chewing and stumbling stage. She has not been tested with cats or with young children, so slow and supervised introductions are recommended there. We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you. Stampy learns everything the first time. The one thing he has not been able to work out is why he is still looking for a home. He is one of the most intelligent dogs we have ever had come through our program, and he watches everything, files it away, and figures out exactly how the room fits together. He is a three year old brindle boy, 63 pounds, with a white chest, four white feet, and the athletic build to go with all that energy. He is also looking for a soft place to land. His foster situation is changing, and this smart, loyal boy is ready for a family of his own. He is a puzzle solver, always learning and happiest when he has a job to do. Give him enrichment, give him a good walk, give him a puzzle bowl to figure out, and then watch him settle right into your lap when it is time to wind down. He did great at board and train and proved to be a quick and motivated learner. He also comes with lifetime trainer support, which goes home with him. His adopter gets the work already done and the trainer still on the other end of the phone, and he would love nothing more than someone to learn all of his new skills right beside him. Stampy does great with other dogs. He is neutered, crate trained, housebroken, and heartworm negative. One honest thing before you apply. Prince wears his name well. He is a blue and white Bully mix, around 3 years old and roughly 60 pounds, with a smile so constant our volunteers have trouble getting a photo where he is not mid grin. He is a solid, huggable boy with a gray mask, a white blaze, and the kind of face that makes strangers stop and say hello. He is every bit as sweet as he looks. Prince is friendly with other dogs, seems to be cat friendly, and would do well with kids, which is a rare full house resume. He greets everyone like an old friend, sits close for attention, and turns every walk into a celebration. Prince is at his happiest when he is with his people, so he is looking for a family who wants a devoted, easygoing companion for couch time, backyard hangs, and neighborhood strolls. Cypress is a brindle and white pit mix, about a year old and roughly 55 pounds, right at that age where the puppy energy is still there but the grown dog is starting to show up underneath it. If you want to know what makes Cypress happy, hand him a ball. Fetch is the whole world to him. He will chase, bring it back, and ask you to do it again for as long as you are willing, and he is at his very best when he has a job like that to focus on. A family who likes to be outside and does not mind throwing a ball until their arm gives out is going to fit him perfectly. He already knows sit, and he is a smart dog who catches on quickly. Leash skills are the piece he is still working on. He pulls when he gets excited, which is most of the time at the shelter, and he would do well with an adopter who keeps up with that training and turns walks into part of the routine. A basic obedience class would be a great use of his first few months in a home. Cypress has not yet been tested with other dogs or with cats, so we would want to set up a slow, supervised meet and greet with any resident dog before he goes home. He has also not been tested with children, so introductions there should be slow and supervised as well. After spending time in a kennel, she’s ready to GO! And interestingly? The leash is the only thing that seems to bring out that particular nonsense. Put her in the play yard and she’s all about playing, zooming, getting attention, and having a good time. Nothing malicious—just a girl with a lot of energy who thinks the leash looks suspiciously like a toy. 😂 🐶 She also seems to do well with other dogs! Her play style is definitely on the rambunctious side—she’s ready to PARTY—so meet-and-greets are always required to make sure the vibes match. 🐾💙 🚗 She’s also a great car rider—especially when the destination involves water. 🌊 Teacup is heartworm positive, but we will help her get the treatment she needs in her adoptive home. ❤️ And somehow, despite being this much fun, this girl has been patiently waiting while she watches other dogs come and go. Coco spent years on a chain being invisible, and it shows. She came to us skinny, carrying old scars, fly bitten ears, and the kind of caution that comes from being let down by people. When a kind stranger picked her up, she was shaking with her tail tucked between her legs. It took her about two hours to become a different dog. Give Coco a treat, a yard, and a little kindness and she lights up. She loves to play, she can jump like a dog half her age, and she melts for treats, which makes training feel like a game to her. She is learning sit and down for the first time in her life and picking them up fast. She settles beautifully in a crate with her blankets and toys, and house training is a work in progress that improves with every day of routine. Coco is around 7 years old with the spirit of a puppy who never got a puppyhood. She can enjoy other dogs when introductions are slow and play styles match, so any resident dog should meet her first, and she needs a home without cats. Her ideal match is a patient adopter who can give her consistency while she learns how to be a house dog, because she wants nothing more than to be one. This sweet girl has done all her waiting. Sherbet has worked out what sit gets him, and now he does not wait to be asked. You walk up, he plants himself, and he looks at you like he has just solved something. He is a two year old boxer and pit bull mix, 65 pounds, and he came to us in January after spending most of his life on a chain. He arrived underweight and scarred up from fly strike. None of that seems to have stuck to him. He still greets every person who comes down the aisle like they are the one he has been waiting for. What he loves most is room to run. Turn him out and he uses every inch of the yard, and once he has burned it off he comes and leans on you for as long as you will let him. He learns fast. He picked up sit in a matter of days and now offers it on his own. He is bright, he wants to be with people, and he is young enough that most of who he turns into is still up to whoever takes him. A few honest things before you apply. Sherbet has never lived indoors. House training, stairs and doors and furniture, and learning how to be alone in a house are all still ahead of him, and the first few months will take a real routine and real work. He gets bouncy when he is excited, though he is gentle about it and he takes guidance well. He is strong and he has energy to spend, so he needs someone who will meet that every day. He is neutered and microchipped. He does well with other dogs with a proper introduction. He has not been around children since he arrived, so we cannot tell you how he would do living with them. Sherbet has been waiting since January, and he is ready whenever you are. We prefer to schedule appointments for meet and greets to make sure someone is available to spend time with you.
