Story
Looking for a calm, loyal companion to share your days with? Meet 13-year-old Rylie (aka Mr. Squishy Face), a sweet senior gentleman whose foster parents say he’s an absolute treasure. Rylie is easygoing, well-mannered, and happiest when he's enjoying a stroll around the fenced yard or snoozing the afternoon away. He loves gentle pets, and he’s especially motivated by treats — which makes him a breeze to bond with! ✨ Rylie's Highlights: – House trained ✅ – Crate trained (but does great when left loose!) – Very quiet and respectful indoors – Gets along well with other dogs – Lived with a cat before (he was a little afraid of it!) – Walks beautifully on leash with a harness – Rides calmly in the car (just needs a little boost in!) 💛 Rylie does have some age-related challenges — he’s hard of hearing and has some mild arthritis in his back legs. He may not hear you call, but a kind hand motion is all he needs to follow with trust and love. Rylie is looking for a peaceful, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years with dignity and care. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate pup to share your heart and home, Rylie may be your perfect match. IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Rocco! Rocco is about 8 months old and weighs about 45 lbs. We think Rocco looks like a Boxer/Pit bull mix, but this is just a guess. Rocco is a very happy boy who loves all people and is great with other dogs. Rocco even does well with cats. Rocco is super playful and loves all types of doggie toys. Rocco will do best in a home where he is not alone all day as he is very people motivated. While Rocco is not in a foster home with children we feel he would be just fine with children 8 years and up. The only reason we say 8 years and up is b/c Rocco might knock a younger child down just b/c he is so happy to see them. Rocco is doing well with his house training and doing ok with his crate training. Rocco is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $375.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Angel - Angel is about 8-9 years young and 60ish lbs. Angel looks like a Boxer/Bulldog/Terrier Mix (JUST A GUESS). Angel is the sweetest girl ever. Such a loving, calm and gentle soul who did not have the best life before coming to Canines & Kitties Rescue. Angel has overcome all the years of neglect and that caused her to have skin and eye infections. Her skin and eye infections are now fully cleared and her fur has grown back beautifully and she can see the world with those soulful brown eyes. Angel is now ready for her forever home. While we were able to fix the "superficial" things such as getting her skin back to normal and clearing her eye infections, we could not fix her knees. We had Angel's knees evaluated by one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the area and he said she was born with her knees not being in the sockets. She has never known any difference and she is not in any pain. She just has reduced mobility, which she is not at all bothered by. Angel loves to take slow strolls around the neighborhood and in her foster mom's backyard. She is able to sit down, lay down and get back up with no issue. She just walks at a slower pace than most dogs her age. Angel is great with other dogs, people of all ages, but not sure about cats. Angel is looking for a forever home where she can receive all the love and attention she deserves and a fenced in yard where she can walk around and sniff and lay in the sun as these are her two most favorite things to do:) Angel is spayed and she is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. The Adoption Fee is $300.00 ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Story
Hi I’m Arnold and I’m living with my foster mom and my two brothers Abner and Arthur. We were rescued from a shelter in SW Virginia on Saturday 1/25/2025. Shelter life isn’t easy and didn’t teach us good manners but we have come a long way in just 24 hours. We hadn’t ever used stairs but we had to learn to use them to go potty outside. Our foster mom carried us a few times but finally I got brave and got up the courage! I did great and my brothers were so surprised at how easy it looked that they got brave too! Our foster mom has to go downstairs first and then we get brave and hurry to meet her. Now we want to go outside and up and down the stairs all the time and are doing really great with accidents in the house. We will keep working on that. I would just like to stretch out and sleep on a soft bed and I’m doing lots of that. My foster mom says I have the sweetest demeanor, I’m confident and calm which helps us all to stay calm. We didn’t get lots of kisses, pets and snuggles in the shelter so we are making up for lost time. We are still trying to get settled in and all we want to do right now is to rest, snuggle and relax on the soft couch. Our foster mom will get better pictures and update our profiles soon. She tells us that our forever home is out there waiting for us and we can’t wait to meet you. We are about 13 weeks old and ready to be adopted on Saturday Feb 8 when we have our final shots. If you want more info or want to meet us you can get in touch with Fancy Cats to make that happen.  Adoption fee: $525, includes 1st DHPP, deworming, flea preventative, microchip   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have.
