Story
Penny is a 1 year old pitbull mix. She is up to date on all shots and spayed. She is around 50 pounds. We are rehoming her because she seems to not realize her size and is too energetic when playing with our small dog. Penny is very high energy and her ideal home would include a securely fenced yard where she can run and play to burn off her energy. She loves to play fetch and play with toys. She would do best as an only dog as she has jealous tendencies with other dogs. She has a high prey drive so a home without cats or other small pets is recommended. She does ok with kids but can be overwhelming for them if they aren’t used to dogs due to her energy level. She is crate trained and potty trained. She does good on a leash. She is super sweet, goofy and loves to cuddle. She does have a bit of anxiety so it would take her some time to adjust to a new home but does really well on a set routine.

Story
Meet Pudge — Your New Best Friend in the Making!  Pudge is a 12-week-old Pittie/Boxer mix with a BIG personality packed into a 15lb body (soon to be ~65lbs of pure love ). This sweet boy is the total package—smart, affectionate, playful, and ready to find his forever home! Why you’ll love Pudge: Loyal little shadow who wants to be by your side 24/7 Highly intelligent and eager to please—he LOVES learning! Crate trained and doing great with house training Dog-friendly and would thrive with a playful canine sibling Curious but respectful around cats A few things to know:Pudge is a confident, high-energy pup who will need: Daily exercise + mental stimulation Consistent training, boundaries, and structure Plenty of chew toys (he does have a thing for shoes ) Enrollment in puppy obedience classes within 10 days of adoption He’s still a puppy—so yes, he’s mouthy, goofy, and occasionally a tiny chaos machine (hello, “little brother energy” ). But he redirects well, learns quickly, and settles nicely once he’s had his playtime. Health & care:Pudge is finishing his puppy vaccines (adopter will complete DHPP + Rabies). He’ll require a neuter deposit and has a mild joint instability that’s expected to resolve with proper care—his future family will partner with a vet to monitor his progress. Ideal home:An active household ready to invest time, energy, and love into raising an incredible dog. Experience with strong, intelligent breeds is a plus—and a sense of humor doesn’t hurt either! With the right guidance, Pudge has the potential to be an amazing companion—and even a service dog. He’s ready to be your adventure buddy, cuddle partner, and loyal protector. If you love bully breeds and are ready for puppy life, Pudge is ready for YOU. Pudge for the win! ##2749754##

Story
~~THIS DOG IS **NOT** IN THE CARE OF THE ALTERNATIVE HUMANE SOCIETY. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. PLEASE REACH OUT TO THE OWNER AT kaylaseverin@yahoo.com FOR MORE INFORMATION. THANK YOU~~ Nova is a 1 year and 8 months old American Bully Mix who is 50lbs and of medium height. She is up to date on shots but not yet spayed. Nova is very loving, smart and socialized to people, kids and dogs. Even though she’s been around younger children, we feel she would do better with being the center of attention in the home. Nova can be very territorial in her yard and in the house when she sees other people and dogs through the fence or a window, but not every time. She has not been in close contact with cats and will bark at them. Nova can be stubborn but is very food driven so we believe that with the right training and consistency, that she has a lot of potential. Nova is house/potty trained since she was a puppy. But she is still kenneled when we are away from the home as she likes to chew the kids' toys and food off counters in reach. She is very active and loves walks. She is leash trained but does excessively pull still. She can be an escape artist if she gets the opportunity, and when she does she thinks it’s a game of catch me if you can. She will come back for treats normally but does like a good chance to explore. Nova has had 2 skin flare ups in the past and is currently eating a trout and rice blend kibble from Nutri-Source for food. If there are any questions or something you specifically want to know about Nova please let me know. ##2755581##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
🌱Meet Sprout🌱 approximately 5 years old, 50 pounds, and very likely some kind of pit bull mix… but honestly? Your guess is as good as ours. Shelter staff said “pit mix,” but we’re seeing traces of couch potato, retired grandpa, amateur florist, and maybe part baked potato. Sprout is currently making the long trip from a high-kill shelter in California to the Pacific Northwest, where he’ll be settling into foster care and hopefully into the hearts of people who appreciate the finer things in life: • naps • emotional eye contact • polite social gatherings • and not doing the absolute most at all times If you’re searching for a dog who wants to hike Mount Rainier before breakfast, complete an agility course by lunch, and train for a triathlon in the afternoon… Sprout would respectfully prefer you continue your search. This man is a “stop and smell the flowers” kind of soul. In his kennel, Sprout can seem serious at first. He’s got one of those deep, thoughtful stares that makes you feel like he knows your tax secrets. But the second you say, “Hey buddy, wanna come out?” the whole act falls apart. Suddenly it’s wiggles. Tiny happy dances. Pure joy. Like someone just told him he’s been selected as Employee of the Month at a job he didn’t know he had. And honestly? It’s impossible not to fall in love. What we know so far: • calm, gentle personality • easygoing and affectionate • socially polite with other dogs • prefers low-key dog friends over WWE-style chaos • excellent at reading social cues • 10/10 emotional support potato potential During dog playgroups, Sprout took his time meeting new dogs like a mature adult with boundaries and emotional intelligence (rare these days). Once he realized everyone was friendly, he busted out the cutest little flirty dance and started inviting dogs to play. He met both male and female dogs politely and playfully, and when another dog wasn’t interested? Sprout respected the boundary immediately and simply trotted off to find new friends. Honestly, some humans should take notes. He’s not into roughhousing or wild energy. He likes his friendships chill, respectful, and drama-free. Same, Sprout. Same. At the end of the day, this sweet boy isn’t asking for much: A soft bed. A kind human. A peaceful home. Maybe a couple snacks. And someone who sees past the serious face long enough to discover the incredibly loving dog underneath. Welcome to the Pacific Northwest, Sprout. Your soft life starts now🌈☔️
