Story
Legend was left with me and the owner never returned for him. He is loving friendly energetic and always happy. He is a very playful dog. He enjoys kids but because of his energy and size not sure young kids would be a good fit unless he was trained and supervised. He loves to rough house with my teenaged son. He is like 1 or 1 1/2 years old and is big. He doesn't realize how big he is or how strong. Legend needs training all the vaccines and to be neutered. He would benefit so greatly from a home who can give him the time love and freedom he deserves. He will be a wonderful companion and fit right in with a family. I'm truly sad to see him leave but I'm not able to care for him. I want what's best for him.

Story
Mercy was originally found on the streets of Milwaukee and after spending some time in our home was taken to MADACC. Around strangers she is somewhat shy, and due to this MADACC was going to euthanize her as no one had come forward as her owner. Because we had experience with her and knew what she was like outside of a shelter, we decided to adopt her and give her more time to find her forever home. Mercy, loves to sprint around the backyard and burry her bones everywhere. She especially loves to chew on her beef rib bone and get treats. Although she is not 100% house broken, she has picked up very quickly on where and when to go. Cuddling on the couch is also a new favorite pastime of hers - she is a sucker for belly rubs! We are unsure how she is with cats and children, but she is head over heels for other dogs! Walking could use some work as she is very curious about smells and is stronger than she thinks, but would be an excellent dog to take on long walks.

Story
My name is Lou, and my parents asked me to write about myself. Though I’m turning two years old in July, I still have a lot of puppy energy and I love walks. I was at the Wisconsin Humane Society for just a few days before my family took me home in January. I really like my house except that it doesn’t have a fenced yard, which I would love to run around in. My mom and dad are wonderful and they say I’m smart, funny, and I am a great snuggler. But they feel I’d be happier with someone(s) who could run me harder and help me get my energy out in healthy ways. I’m 62 pounds, but I can still be a lap dog, right? I have graduated from two manners classes, but get anxious when I see other dogs. I might be better off in a family with no other pets, or with another big dog with lots of energy. I’m much better now about not jumping on human friends, but forget when I’m excited. So young children might not be a good fit. I’m food motivated, trained to sleep in my crate, and love puzzles.

Story
Myah is a 1year old PitBull. She is super playful and loves to cuddle. She previously came from an abusive male home, so when she first meets a male she sometimes is hesitant, but learns to love quickly. She is potty mat trained and we are working on outside training. We unfortunately can not keep her due to rental house rules but want her to be with a living family due to her past. She is very energetic and loves playing outside with our other dogs.

Story
Pretty Flower needs her furever home. She is part husky and part pit, around 1 yr old and weighs about 35-40 lbs. She is playful and full of energy. She's figuring out how to cuddle. She loves naps on a comfy bed or couch. She is great with other dogs. No cats would be best.  Her eyes are stunningly beautiful and soul grabbing. Her many facial expressions will make you smile and laugh. Flower's story started pretty sad. Marvin and I found her on the left side (inside) of the the highway. Marvin swore he saw a dog and her puppy. After a loop around, we stopped. She didn't move, no puppy, just her. Her leg was broke and she smelled like a skunk.  After being being at ACS for 3 days, Saving Grace pulled her so we could foster her. We got her to the vet who said her leg had been broke for atleast 2 weeks. She had surgery immediately. She got rods in her leg to keep the bones in place. Her leg will always be crooked but that doesn't slow her down at all. On the 2nd check up, we found out she was pregnant, halfway along or more. Puppies seemed healthy. Marvin was right. She gave birth with the rods still in her leg. 6 Puppies. Sadly one did not make it. She had 5 healthy, giant babies who she has taken such good care of. It's time this momma gets her own happy ending.  Her adoption fee is $195 local or $395 out of state with transport and includes current shots, microchip, spay, heartworm negative and current on preventions.
