Story
NOTE - MICHIGAN TRANSPORT PICKUP IS CHICAGO Meet HONEY!! She is approximately 3-years old and 35 lbs. This sweet mama was found living under an abandoned house in Memphis, TN. She, all on her own and alone, took care or her puppies wonderfully. Honey is super sweet and nurturing. She is fostering in a home with a family with a swimming pool and has taken to gently taking the families hands in her mouth and guiding them out when they exit the pool steps. She is very affectionate and is going to make someone a great companion. She was taken to a driving school here in Memphis where she interacted and was wonderful with the, at least, 30 teenagers taking the class. This girl has taken care of her litter and is ready for a place where she will be treated like a Queen. She has endured a hard life to begin but now it is her turn to shine. Honey has now been spayed and UTD on all vaccinations. She walks wonderful on leash and would make a great walking partner. Once adopted this deserving girl will travel via private transport (transport cost is $150.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this awesome girl part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
·Intake Reason: Transfer from MADACC·Weight: Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: Unknown ·Personality: ActiveGreetings, my name is Freya; my name means ‘lady' and I am hoping with your patient and positive guidance that I grow into an elegant little lady with proper manners and social skills so I am welcome everywhere we go. I am a bit of a wild child who needs to learn to keep four-on-the-floor, so it would be lovely if we could take some classes together in obedience and manners. I weigh about 40 pounds now, but I am still a youngster and have plans to get bigger. I came to WCHS from MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) where I was a stray, so my history is a bit of a mystery. I am an energetic lass with an abundance of energy to burn, so I am hoping for an active family who will keep me busy. I love to play with toys and run like the wind. I may be super excited when I start on a walk because I cannot contain my exuberance, but I do settle down in a short time and walk pretty well, or so I've been told. I am a real fan of humans and am friendly and affectionate; I imagine wonderful days filled with playtime and spectacular evenings snuggling with you. I am a smart gal who will respond well to your calm and consistent training; I will work very hard to make you proud. Although I was out on my own for a bit, there are still so many things and places that are new to me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and help me explore, discover and experience novel things, places and people each day to help me grow into a confident young dog. When I come into my new home, I will also need your help with something called house-training. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. I am athletic and versatile; I would be open to any activity we could do together. Perhaps we can participate in canine sports, rally, dog parkour or nose work; I would also enjoy tricks training, focus exercises or targeting where I get a tasty reward for putting my nose or paw on an object. I hope you stop by to make my acquaintance because I would love to meet you and start down the path of life together.#2

Story
Meet Theodore Winston, "Theo" for short who came to Canine Cupids from Chicago where he was found wandering the streets. Theo was emaciated, scared and spent two months in the shelter where he became a volunteer favorite because of his sweet nature and handsome looks. Theo loves to play with tennis balls and enjoys the company of other dogs. He was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia and is on weekly injections to help ease the pain. Theo needs to take it easy when he is playing, and walks should be not very long. Theo is a lover of sunbathing on his foster mom's patio. With his strong wiggly tail, he would not be suitable in a home with small children. If you are interested in Theo please fill out an application today!

Story
You’ve heard of David Copperfield, David Blaine and now the cutest magician of all…Davey! At 2 years old and 40lbs, Davey is the perfect pocket pup for magical adventures! You will be hypnotized when his eyes look deep into yours as you cuddle. (And you will be cuddling. A lot.) You will be bewitched by his speed and agility as he runs and plays with your active family. You will be entertained by Davey’s curiosity and quest to boop everything and everyone. Like most performers, he gets pretty excited when he meets new fans, especially dogs but is quickly learning to play it cool. He currently lives with two other doggos and loves play time with them. Cats have not been part of his act in the past and we think that’s best. Davey also loves people so much he often uses his best Houdini moves to see his humans again. He will do best in a home where he has an audience more often then not. He is not a fan of a kennel, who is!?! Davey is very smart and picks up on your routine quickly. He would LOVE someone to run with or do agility classes, his nimble feet and mind are perfect for it. Davy will need a more experienced owner who knows that all good things come with time and patience. With the balance of the right home and a little medication, he will be a snuggly, happy, playful dog. If you are looking for a dog with real animal magnetism and Hollywood-good looks, let yourself fall under Davey’s spell and never be bored again.

Story
Beanie ???Beanie loves walking on the trail and exploring. Beanie is currently being fostered at SkyDance Pet Lodge where she loves learning manners and agility with the training team and playing with all the high-energy pups that come for daycare. Beanie is very food motivated and loves to play with any and all toys! Beanie is considered special needs as she is Deaf. Frequently asked questions about dogs like beanie: Does she have any dietary restrictions as she is a pure white dog?Yes! But it's super easy. Beanie does best on a salmon or lamb kibble. We avoid chicken however she still enjoys all sorts of training treats which have not caused any issues. She is on a probiotic also. Does she have skin issues? Nope! Beanie is in great physical health. She enjoys getting groomed by our grooming team on a regular basis to maintain a healthy coat, but she does not have any medical issues. Is it hard to train a deaf dog? No. It's not hard but it is different. There are challenges and advantages. A dog that can't hear you open a packet of chips, hear the delivery driver approaching or get startled by kids throwing something, has big advantages in terms of training, however, recall and understanding other dogs communicating can be tougher. Is she social? Yes, beanie is social with people and dogs. She still has some puppy behaviors and jumps up at times so we wouldn't recommend a home with small children. I'd also recommend a home with a more submissive dog and a dog that has a lot of tolerance, she has been nothing but sweet with my dog but she is very high energy when she plays and depends upon the other dog to walk away and end the fun. What home would be best? Beanie would do best in a moderately- very active home. She would be an awesome agility dog or just your hiking buddy. Beanie has a great off switch and will relax and entertain herself. She would thrive being able to go to daycare while her family is at work to really burn off that extra energy! You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!! Adoption fee: $450 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org.
