Story
Meet Batman – the Sweetest Meatball with a Big Heart! Batman is a handsome Pitty mix with a big head, an even bigger heart, and a silly side. When meeting new people or entering new environments, he can be a little shy at first. He prefers to sit back and observe, taking everything in at his own pace. Give him a few minutes, though, and once he feels comfortable, Batman’s silly, affectionate personality shines right through. Batman loves being outside and truly enjoys playing with other dogs. He also adores affection and does especially well with older children. Because he’s a stocky, happy guy, he’ll need a home without small children—not because he’s aggressive (he’s absolutely not!), but because once he’s comfortable, he can’t always contain his zoomies and could accidently hurt a small child. In his foster home, Batman has met cats and does well with supervision. He’s curious and wants to play, and sometimes doesn’t realize that his size could be a bit much—so a patient, attentive home would be best if feline friends are involved. One of Batman’s favorite parts of the day is cuddle time. He’s a champion snuggler and has a serious weakness for butt scratches. He also has excellent house manners: he’s potty trained, doesn’t bark much, and settles nicely in his crate at night. Batman is looking for a special family—one that understands he just needs a little time to warm up to new people and places. If you’re willing to give him that grace, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly sweet, loyal, and loving companion. Batman is truly an amazing dog, and he’s ready to find the forever home he deserves. Story
Stevie the mixed breed puppy's Story Stevie is a 2-month-old female puppy who had a uniquely safe and loving start to life. Her mom, Mrs. Potts — a pit/Labrador mix — was brought into a Texas shelter while pregnant. A local veterinarian generously stepped in and took her into their facility so she could safely whelp and raise her puppies in a warm, controlled environment. Because of that kindness, Stevie and her siblings were able to begin life surrounded by care and human compassion. Stevie is now ready to start her own journey toward a forever home. Like her sister, she has been well cared for since birth and is a typical young puppy — curious, sweet, and still learning about the world around her. Stevie will thrive with a family prepared for puppy training, socialization, and the time commitment that comes with raising a young dog. In return, she’ll grow into a loving, loyal companion and a wonderful addition to the right home. She enjoys people of all ages and gets along well with other dogs. She is working on her potty training in Texas, however her new family should be prepared to do additional training while she learns the routine at her new home in WI as she is just a young puppy. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. She will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if she is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. She is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday February 6th. If upon meeting, she is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding her forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Story
Zeppelin the Mixed Breed Puppy 's Story Zeppelin is a 2-month-old male puppy who got the very best start in life despite the odds. His mom, Mrs. Potts — a sweet pit/Labrador mix — was brought into a Texas shelter while pregnant. A local veterinarian stepped in and welcomed her into their facility so she could safely whelp and raise her puppies in a warm, caring environment. Thanks to that extra compassion, Zeppelin has known safety and human kindness from day one. All of Zeppelin’s siblings have found homes, and he is the last of his litter — which means he’s now packing his bags and heading north. Zeppelin will be arriving in Wisconsin on February 6th, ready to find his own forever family. Like any puppy his age, he is curious, affectionate, and still learning about the world. Zeppelin will thrive with a family prepared for puppy training, socialization, and lots of love, and in return he will grow into a loyal, happy companion. He is working on potty training in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while they learn the routine at his new home in WI as he is just a young puppy. Was from a suspected dog fighting seizure.Weight: 50 lbs ** $50 has been donated towards my adoption fee by a generous member of our community **Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Does well in WCHS’s active playgroup. ·Kids: UnknownCheck out the many ways I have fun at the shelter by copying and pasting the following link: https://youtu.be/Yb3RRlSF-A0Fun Facts About Me:•I am a high-octane boy who is hoping for an active family that will provide exercise, training and structure•My exuberance sometimes gets the best of me and I can get a little mouthy; I need to learn which things are acceptable chew toys•I came from the Sunshine State so I am not a big fan of super cold temperatures; on my potty breaks on frigid days, I make a point of doing my business quickly so we can get back inside•I love to chase balls and run around•I had a rough start to my life and did not have an opportunity to experience many every day items, so I have a lot to discover and explore like stairs and vacuums•I am looking for a family who will be patient and give me the time I need to learn about new things at my own pace•I am a lover-boy with a happy tail and simply want to be a true family member where I can be a faithful companion and sidekick•I have been practicing ‘sit’ and learning the joys of foraging mats and mentally challenging toys#2

Story
Intake Reason: Came to WCHS as a transfer from Humane World for Animals. Was from a suspected dog fighting seizure.-Weight: 34 Known with:·Dogs: Unknown·Kids: Unknown·Cats: UnknownPuppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you must teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a doorbell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training, so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething, I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment, and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin! # 2
