MEET MEERA! Meera is a beautiful and small 5-year-old blue & white American Staffordshire Terrier in need of a foster or forever home. She's short in stature and weighs only about 45 lbs. Meera is a loving and cuddly girl and would do great with a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. She loves car rides, and loves to go out and about and enjoy the sunshine. She is not a fan of other dogs, so needs to be the only dog in the home. However, she has not been leash reactive in her current location. Please email for an application.

Rocket is a short stocky staffie mix looking to take off into his adoptive home from the Shelter! He can be reserved at first but with known people, he softens and wants to snuggle into laps. Rocket may do well in a home with another dog but will need a little speed dating to see if the resident dog is compatible prior to adoption. Now through July 19th, adoption fees are reduced to $70 thanks to the BISSEL Pet Foundation`s Empty the Shelter event!Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

I've been waiting for awhile for a home and that's a bit sad, but I'm still hopeful my person or people will come along. I only weigh about 52 lbs and am an affectionate snuggle bug. I prefer to be the only dog in the home and prefer people to dogs so would do best with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I'm not a fan of cats either, so no kitties for me please. I am in great athletic shape and still love to go for walks and hikes. And I love the water! I also love the fresh air and the feeling of the sunshine on my back. Could you give me a chance and foster or adopt me?

Hi, Due to having our second son, work schedule, living between 2 states and life we are not able to take good and proper care of Bombon the way he deserves. He is a pure bread and registered American Bully. He loves hikes, cuddles, play time and running. He have very little time spent with other pets in order to be healthy and not get sick from them, however the times he was engaged with other dogs he was very happy and friendly. He does sit on the couch and bed, he likes to chew on toys. Over all a very amazing dog and its sad to see him go to another loving home, that being said we will not just let anyone taking him and we need to make sure it is the right fit and environment for him.
