Story

Gentle giant Yodi is ready for his forever home!   This easy-going boy loves cuddles and making his people happy.  Luckily, he’s great at both!  If you want to laugh, just turn on a sprinkler and Yodi will frolic in the water.  If you want to cry, Yodi will climb on your lap and lick your face.  Yodi is ready to be whatever you need!   Yodi isn’t just cuddly, he’s smart!  He already knows sit, shake, and down. He is already crate-trained, and is comfortable waiting in his crate while you run errands.  Yodi loves food and treats, so will be able to learn even more with positive-reinforcement training.   Yodi likes chew toys and is learning to play fetch.  He behaves well on walks, and is always excited to meet other dogs. Yodi would love a home with a dog-sibling! Story

Ferdinand is a rescue who was surrendered due to a medical issue (cherry eye) that was repaired by the shelter. He has lived with me for 3 years as a very loyal companion. However, life challenges are preventing me from giving him the attention and care that he needs and this is leading to the development of behavioral issues that I am not able to address. The good: Ferdinand is very food motivated, which makes it very easy to teach him new commands and to practice obedience training. He also is very chill and is happy to spend most of his day sleeping in various places around the house. In the evenings, he loves cuddling up next to me on the couch or on his heated mat. The challenges: Ferdinand is becoming more and more reactive to strangers in the home. He had a bite incident, but luckily no legal action was taken. He is crate-trained and is happy to wear a muzzle in public. The behavior could be extinguished with further training that I am unable to provide.

Josie is friendly towards new people and kids, energetic, and a snuggle bug. When she's not acting hyper, she is incredibly loving and sweet. She doesn't care for food, so we'll keep her dish out for her to nibble, but she hesitates to eat in front of other people. She has only shown hostility against other dogs and cats—never toward humans. We've had Josie for 1.5 years now after a friend found her on the side of the highway at 6months old. Our roommate chose to accept a profession that puts him on the road indefinitely. He asked us to surrender her to a shelter. We are moving soon and won’t be able to take Josie, but we refuse to take her to a shelter. She deserves a good home where she is taken care of and loved.
