Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Tiger is an extremely cuddly dog - he would be content to spend all day long snuggled up on the couch with his person! He makes an excellent blanket, and will climb right on top of people and lay down to be as close to them as possible. While he is very calm and loving when he is comfortable with people, he can get anxious in new situations and become overstimulated easily. He will let you know when he is overstimulated with his high energy and inability to settle down. We are working on being calm in new situations, but he would still like a home that will give him the time he needs to get used to everything new. Once he is comfortable with you, his calm and snuggly personality will come out! Tiger is also very smart and easy to train - he can learn a new trick or behavior in minutes! He picks up on repeated behaviors easily, and will start to anticipate what gets him rewarded at specific times of day or following certain environmental clues. Because of this, he absolutely thrives with a routine. So far, Tiger has learned "sit", "down", "paw", "other paw", "leave it", "stay", and "come", and is also doing pretty well with "drop", "mat", "crate", and "roll over". He walks very well on a leash and only pulls if he sees a cat or squirrel. This prey drive means he probably wouldn't do well in a home with a cat, but may do okay with another dog as long as he has plenty of time to get used to them slowly. His overexcitement at meeting new dogs tends to put them off, and he isn't great at taking their social cues of not wanting to play. Similarly, he isn't used to being around kids and may be overstimulated by their energy at first.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. My name is Daffodil, but my foster mom calls me Dilly, Silly Dilly. I'm a feisty little pup. I have a lot of energy during the day, sniffing and running around the yard, and play pouncing on my human... I like to sneak and pounce. I'm learning new tricks like sit, paw, down and up. By night I'm definitely a snuggler and would love it if you let me sleep in your bed and lay on your lap. &#226&#128&#139 For some reason I'm not really getting along with other pups right now. I'm trying to work on that since I'm still young, but there's a chance I'll want to be your one and only. I watched all my siblings and mama find their forever homes and I'm ready for mine!  Click here to watch a video of Qu Litter Daffodil.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Peach is approximately 1 year old. She was a stray that wasn’t claimed and was emaciated at only 37 lbs. She was originally very shy but has come out of her shell to show her sweet as a peach personality. She is now a healthy 63 pounds. Peach is an intelligent dog that is food motivated, however, she has NOT shown any food aggression. Peach has learned several commands while in foster including sit, shake, down, stay and roll over. Peach is delightful to have as a foster and gets along with other dogs and kids. She is excited each time her people return. Peach is still working on manners of saying hello. She would do best with a family that can tolerate some jumps on her adults as her “hello” but getting better. Peach loves learning new things, playing tug or fetch. After her exciting play is done, she will happily cuddle up with you. Peach will need to work on alerting when she needs outside, but can hold it all night. If you are looking for a forever best friend that is always ecstatic to see you please consider meeting Peach. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. I'm a bouncy, beautiful, beauty. I love to play with my foster mom, go for walks, hang out outside. I am an active gal - so plenty of exercise is good for me! I have 2 little chihuahua "friends" - haha - I like them a lot but I am much bigger than them and they are old so I knock them down. I would love to see some dogs that can match my energy! I am spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready for my forever home! From Detroit Animal Control to... where ever you are. Picture this: I’m a chunky, lovable goofball bursting with excitement at the mere thought of meeting you. That's me! I'm all about spreading joy and wagging tails wherever I go. Now, let's talk toys. I've got a whole collection that would make any pup jealous. From squeaker balls to Nylabones, I've got ‘em. And am I proud of my stash! I'll gladly show you every single one during our first date. But wait, there's more! I'm not just a toy enthusiast—I'm also a fetch champion and tug-of-war extraordinaire. I'm a quick learner, too! Story
Maverick foster pupdate💙saved from living on a chain outside & has made amazing strides! 5mths, 30#, vaccinated, neutered & microchipped Searching for a smart, loyal & adorable little pup? Maverick could be your guy🐾Here’s what his foster mom has to say. 🕶️ He knows his name. He knows the word no and is easily redirected. Smart boy, and a fast learner. Wants to please and is a stage 5 clinger. Not 100% potty trained but pretty close. -Does good in his crate . Interested in cats but does not chase. Would greatly benefit from another dog in the home as it seems to raise his confidence. 💙Good with my teenage kids and I’m sure he would be good with respectful littles, he’s just a little apprehensive and unsure yet . Seems to be a little unsure about adult males. He’s a little nervous to be outside at dark. It seems as though he thinks your going to leave him out there. In fact, anytime he’s outside he likes to be able to see you. -At first, I don’t think he really knew what toys were but he is learning and he enjoys playing with the toys. He likes stuffies and ropes and he enjoys playing tug-of-war with my dog. 🕶️ He also enjoys a good game of catch me if you can with my dog. -He loves the puzzle and figured it out quickly, and he enjoys peanut butter in the Kong and lick mat. He does sometimes choose to sleep in his crate at night, but he definitely prefers to sleep on the bed with you under a blanket. If you think Maverick could be your match apply to meet this sweet boy that will bring you so much love & joy 🏡 www.underdogrescueranch.com/adopt
