Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Daffodil is THE sweetest, and a good mix of playfulness and cuddles. Her favorite toys are nylabones, wool dryer balls and squeakies and she loves to play keep away. Most of the time she will snuggle up right next to you like a person, demanding blankets and to be the little spoon. Due to her dog reactivity, she doesn't go on walks around the neighborhood but does well with other forms of enrichment like kongs, snuffle mats, lickimats and some scent work. Quiet hiking trails in the woods on a long lead are also fun for her. She is nondestructive and happily goes into a crate with a kong while foster mom is away. She would do best with (and probably love the company of) older kids who are okay with an excited dog jumping or crawling on them at times. Daffodil is currently in a foster home on a busy corner of a neighborhood with lots of car and foot traffic which can make her very nervous. Her foster mom strongly believes that a house with more property and possibly a privacy fence would be a game changer for her. She is very strong and capable of jumping a 4-foot chain-link fence, so she is currently always on a lead and supervised in the yard. Daffodil has been in an LDDR foster home her whole life. Her siblings and even her mama have been adopted. If you think you could be the perfect home, please give Daffodil a chance! Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. The microchips are registered to Last Day Dog Rescue with the adopter's info added once adopted. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Thank you for looking through our list of animals needing forever homes and choosing rescue first. We appreciate you stopping by. March 26, 2025, 9:01 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hari is a very loving and happy boy. He loves nothing more than to run around in the yard, play with our older girl dog, and cuddling on the couch. Hari is completely house trained, crate trained, and is doing well in his loose leash walking training. He is a steadfast companion. Sadly, Hari doesn’t get along with our boy dog of the same age. He had a very rough first year of his life in unsafe conditions. But that hasn’t stopped his cheerful attitude. He loves people and is very receptive to training. Especially if the treats are good. ***PLEASE NOTE:  This animal is listed as a courtesy to another organization and does not belong to Last Day Dog Rescue.  Applications will be forwarded to the animals foster.*** &#226&#128&#139 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 7:53 am

This affectionate girl has a heart full of love for people, kids, and her furry friends. She came to us as a mama dog with her singular puppy, malnourished and in need of care, but she has made a remarkable recovery and is ready to start her next chapter. MiAmor recently underwent eye surgery, and she is healing beautifully. There are no expected issues moving forward! Before she can go to her new home, she will need to be spayed, with the procedure scheduled for April 10th. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Hi, I’m Nugget. I’m not quite sure why they call me that but I presume it is because when they first brought me into my foster home, I was literally the size of a nugget! I came to the rescue just me and my mommy. I am a mixed breed pup primarily pitbull. I am smart and very sweet, and I’ve almost learned how to completely only go potty on my puppy pad by only six weeks old! I have a calm demeanor and I don’t make much noise. Foster mama says I’m nothing but a lover. I’m still very young and unfortunately grew up without any siblings so my new home will need to keep that in mind as I grow and be willing to help me become well socialized. I’ve been raised around small children and absolutely adore them! I do have puppy teeth though so keep that in mind as I learn to play. I’ll be available to move into my official home after my second round of vaccines and I’ve turned eight weeks old on February 19th, and yes, you did do the math correct my estimated birthday is Christmas!! If you’re interested in me becoming your new best friend place an application. I’d love to meet you!
