Staffordshire Terrier / Boston Terrier / Pug MIXApproximate Age:   3-4 yearsApproximate Weight:   35 lbsCurrently Living at:   BoardingAdoption Fee:   $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:    Meet Bianca — Your Sweet & Spunky Sidekick!      Looking for a dog who can deliver both adorable zoomies and peaceful snuggle mode? Say hello to Bianca, a young, medium-sized sweetheart who is basically the canine version of a warm, wiggly hug. This affectionate girl loves her people with her whole heart. She’s playful, but she also settles down beautifully once she’s gotten her energy out. She previously lived with an older dog, so she’s learning her doggy etiquette—but she’d love a confident canine sibling who can continue showing her the ropes.     Bianca is completely housebroken (gold star ), walks nicely on leash (but may turn into a tiny sled dog when she spots something interesting), and is ready to be your loyal shadow.  Because city life would overwhelm her, Bianca is seeking a calm, suburban-style kingdom—a single-family home with a fenced yard where she can trot, sniff, sunbathe, and work on her good girl skills without the hustle and bustle.     Her current family loves her deeply but must rehome her due to serious medical issues, so they’re hoping she finds a home overflowing with kindness, playmates, and comfy places to nap. If you’re searching for a lovable companion with the perfect mix of fun and chill, Bianca is waiting to wiggle her way into your heart. Apply today!Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Tess is 3yo, weighs 62lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, is microchipped, and is house-and-crated trained.  Tess does not like taking pills; therefore, her guardian recommends a topical flea/tick treatment. Tess can sit, but doesn't stay and she responds to her name.  Scratch Incidents:  Tess inadvertently and without malice stepped on her guardian's toe, resulting in a scratch and on another occasion scratched her leg to garner attention.  Guardian states she should've adequately clipped her nails.  The scratches didn't break the skin, animal control was not involved, and medical treatment was unwarranted. Tess's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:  Tess's guardian is moving out of state and cannot take her.  Tess's guardian offers a brief medical history:  "She hurt her leg once about a year ago, she was running and stepped wrong.  The vet said it was a bruised ligament and she healed with just rest." Tess's guardian states the following regarding children:  Although Tess lives with children, ages 11 and 15, her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, stating "She does not recognize her size and will run up to anyone to say hello".  Tess's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Tess hasn't lived with other dogs, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with dogs, stating "She barks but does not approach, but has only ever been in the house or in a fenced yard with no other animals".  Tess's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Tess lives with a cat, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "I have a cat and the cat avoids the dog.  The dog does not seek out the cat".  Tess's guardian describes her as: Couch potato Barks alot Playful Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor dog House-Trained Crate-Trained Separation anxiety Tess's guardian describes her ideal future home: "A home where she can be with her person as much as possible. She has eaten every bed, blanket, crate pad that she's ever had. And yes I mean EATEN, not chewed! The dog has a stomach of steel. She would prob love a fenced yard, we dont have one so we use our neighbor's yard occasionally.  She is definitely an indoor dog. She does not like the rain, at all!" Zeke's guardian explains why he has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  "Living situation and can't be in a multiple animal household." Lunge/Attack incident:  In June 2022 Zeke lunged/attacked another resident canine; the skin was not broken and medical attention was not required.  Zeke's guardian further explains:  "Both dogs were allowed within same fenced yard.  Victim dog ran toward Zeke and Zeke was uncomfortable and lunged/attacked her.  Took to vet but no actual medical attention needed." Zeke's guardian offers a brief a medical history:  "Small growth (pimple like) on left hind leg." Zeke's guardian states the following regarding children:  Zeke lives with children (ages less than 1 and up to 9yo) so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating "Energetic to greet but very restrained on how to approach". We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Nash is 10mos old, weighs 68lbs, is intact, is up to date on his vaccines, and is not microchipped.  Nash's guardian states: "The days of going to the bathroom in peace in our household have gone away since adopting him and we love it :).  If you get up to get a cup of water in the same room as him, he will come stand by the fridge.  If you go to get dressed upstairs, he will come and lay on the floor, with his tail wagging, waiting for you to give him some loves.  He truly loves humans and will be your best friend fi you give him a little bit of love.  He truly is a man's best friend. He had two separate incidents where he snapped on our other dog as well as my parents dog and caused some bad injuries to them.  Nash is a snuggler and a companion, he will walk well on a leash, knows sit, paw, down, wait, and no and walks well on a leash.  He knows to walk by your side instead of in front of you.  Occasionally he will try to chase a bird or a squirrel.  Nash will sit on top of you and lay with you for hours if you let him do so.  Nash is currently living at my house still with our 7 year old dog, but cannot be trusted alone with her and has to spend a lot of time in the crate. " Nash's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him:  "He does not get along with our current dog who is 7 years old.  After several trainings and behavioral meetings, the experts suggest that Nash goes to a home with no other dogs in it." Lunge/Bite Incident:  On 5 May 2024, in Huntington Valley, PA, Nash bit his canine sibling at a boarding facility; the incident broke the skin; animal control was not involved; medical intervention was necessary.  Nash's guardian explains: "Nash was boarded with my parents dog for our wedding weekend.  Early in the morning, the boarding place allowed for play time with dogs who were known to be okay with other dogs.  During the free time in a room there were several dogs together.  Nash was playing with my parents dog, Juba, who he spends every weekend with.  Something occurred which is unknown to anyone, and Nash went after Juba.  The only thing that stopped the incident, was a german shepard barking at the two dogs fighting.  Juba was hospitalized for a day and received stitches, a cone, and a drain in his neck.  Nash had superficial wounds to his face and a deep cut on his ear. " Nash's guardian states the following regarding children:  Nash lives with children (ages 3, 4, and 11), so his guardian recommends his living with children, stating... "He LOVES any type of attention he gets.  He is still a baby, so we are actively working on "gentle" and "no jumping."  He doesn't know how big he is, so he can knock you down if you aren't paying attention!" Nash's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Although Nash lives with a dog, his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating... "Nash was always fine around dogs, we brought him to dog parks where he would play fine and was actually the submissive type.  But after the two incidents where he hurt dogs, it is a MUST that he go to a home with no other dogs per several professional opinions." Nash's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Nash hasn't lived with cats, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with cats, stating... "He met a cat one time and was actually scared of it.  He would watch everything the cat did and monitor it.  The cat he met was slightly aggressive and was not super friendly to humans or other animals, so it is unaware currently how Nash would react with a cat that is friendly." Nash's guardian describes him as: Couch potato Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes men Likes women Nash's guardian describes his ideal future home: "Nash would thrive in an environment where someone wants a companion dog.  He will be your true best friend and follow you everywhere you go." Story
Pocket Rocket!MEET ARTEMIS! (Descriptor: Pocket Rocket!)   The name Artemis means “safe” or “unharmed” and refers to the ancient Greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, wild animals, and chastity. A more perfect name doesn’t exist for this pup! “Artie” may be small, but she is mighty in spirit. This 30-pound, 1 year old, pocket rocket is all about living life with enthusiasm! Whether that’s sprinting around the yard, playing hard with her people, or melting into a puddle of snuggles on the couch afterward.   Artie is a sprinter, not a marathoner: she loves short bursts of high-energy play and then settles beautifully in the home. She would thrive with an active adopter who enjoys hiking, wants to explore beginner dog sports, or simply loves a dog who is always excited for the next fun thing. She is almost fully housebroken, is friendly with new people, and genuinely adores adults and older children who have learned to be respectful of dogs. Artie also gets along with most other dogs, but she isn’t big on sharing toys or food, so she’d do best as either an only dog or with a very savvy, structured home that can manage resources thoughtfully. She can be dog selective so a slow introduction is necessary.   Artie is confident and environmentally stable, not much fazes her. She’s affectionate, social, and happiest when snuggled up next to you. She does have some FOMO behaviors in the crate, but she improves significantly when crated away from high excitement. Because of her high prey drive, Artie should not live with small pets.   She is being fostered by her trainer (we just love a well trained dog!) and will come with an instruction manual of how to keep her new-found structure going to keep her on her learning journey. (In other words, she is an energetic young dog that needs to have boundaries enforced and her trainer can help you understand what that looks like.) If you’re looking for a dog who is equal parts adventure buddy and cuddle companion, with a big personality in a compact package, Artie might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of heart into her forever home.   Artemis’ adoption donation fee is $450, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for her by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.December 6, 2025, 7:44 pm

Story
Meet my girl — a 5-year-old Pit Bull/Staffordshire Terrier with the sweetest heart! I adopted her 6 months ago from a friend, and she’s been nothing but loving and well-mannered ever since. I’m looking for a home that welcomes responsible pet owners and appreciates a calm, affectionate dog. She’s gentle, loyal, goofy, cuddly, and super friendly with people. She loves her walks, naps like a pro, and thinks belly rubs are a full-time job. She’s house-trained, easygoing, and has a very soft, relaxed personality — truly the definition of a good girl. If you’re looking for a sweet, well-behaved companion who brings nothing but love and comfort, she’s the perfect match.
