Story
Pax, our 48 pound 2 year old (boxer?) mix, is really fun. So fun, his foster family thought he'd enjoy watching some stand-up. Turns out, Pax is the kinda guy that mostly enjoys his own jokes. Other people's jokes? Yawn. Besides being a terrible audience member, Pax is nearly perfect. And now he's ready to yuck it up in his own home. Pax was found stray and was an immediate favorite at the shelter. He quickly befriended the other dogs and was cuddly and sweet to the people he met. Unfortunately, Pax developed a bad case of pneumonia and so we were asked to help. After weeks of rest and antibiotics (and a neuter), Pax is back to himself. And that self is pretty delightful. Friendly to everyone, Pax loves people and other dogs. He's happy to see dogs both on and off leash and is a hit at the park. We haven't seen Pax around cats but he's mostly curious about rabbits, so a dog-savvy cat may work. Kids over 8 would be okay in Pax's home as well. Pax loves a good hang. He's happy to run, hike or just walk and then watch the sunset. Pax is potty trained and very good in his crate. If left alone, Pax may aerate shoes or turn jeans into cutoffs, so a crate or baby gate is kinda essential. Pax would love an active adopter (who won't subject him to improve comedy). Pax is heartworm negative and current on his flea and heartworm preventatives. Are you trying your hand at stand-up and you'd like some very very constructive criticism? Or perhaps you'd be happy just to laugh along with Pax at his own comedy. Either way, apply to adopt at www.stumptownstrays.org

Story
Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited or wants something (we now know that comes from the Boxer in her). Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. We don't know why Gypsy has not been adopted yet. She is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy normally does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She would also prefer a home without annoying toy dogs or puppies that get in her face. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. Gypsy is smart and might benefit from more obedience training from someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is a sweet dog. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy must be in the house as a loved family member. She must be walked on a leash and have a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. She is now heartworm-free and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy is located in Texas but can be transported after she is adopted. Her adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Vancouver WA. Story
Koda is a 3 year old Boxer/Husky mix who is looking for his furever home. He loves to sit on the couch and watch tv, go for walks, play with other dogs and just be loved. Koda is very athletic and needs space to run. He is great with other dogs and kids, in fact he would prefer a home with both. If you are looking for a sweet/loving/loyal family dog, Koda is your guy! Rehoming because my job requires more hours.

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours.I have some handling sensitivity. That means I have some preferences about how and where I get petted. My human friends at the shelter can tell you more! It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org.I'm currently in foster and ready for my new home! If you're interested in meeting me, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 65.8 Age: 2yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
This is Diva! We helped save her from death row. She was going to be euthanized for lack of space after only 6 days. She is safe in Vancouver, WA now. She will go to her new forever home fully vetted/UTD on shots, spayed, + having had experienced what a loving home could feel like. Please consider opening your heart + home to this wonderful baby. She is between 1-2 years old, so full of life, + sweetness! Diva will be most successful in a home with experienced, confident, clear, + consistent but kind leadership. She does best with confident male dogs. Unknown how she does with cats +/or kids so a slow introduction + always closely supervised would be necessary. She kennels well after she has had time to go potty, get some zoomies out for 15-20 mins. + has some loving. She sits quickly + is very food motivated- easy to train. She has not had accidents in the house so we think she is fully potty trained + waiting for you! Leash walks well- does pull some. Please share her listing!
