Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Koda is a 3 year old Boxer/Husky mix who is looking for his furever home. He loves to sit on the couch and watch tv, go for walks, play with other dogs and just be loved. Koda is very athletic and needs space to run. He is great with other dogs and kids, in fact he would prefer a home with both. If you are looking for a sweet/loving/loyal family dog, Koda is your guy! Rehoming because my job requires more hours.

Story
Meet Scout! She is the sweetest, calmest most loving dog I have EVER met, which is truly saying a lot because I have had dogs for the last 25 years. We originally decided to foster her when she was only 2 months old because her originally living conditions with her siblings was not healthy and every animal deserves a home full of love. We absolutely adore her adorable 9 month old self and are heartbroken to see her go as she is beyond perfect with my toddler son who is very wild at times, my 10 year old daughter, and my 2 other small, older dogs. Unfortunately, we are having to make an unexpected move to a small apartment and they allow no more than 2 pets 🥺 We will miss her so very much but will do everything within our power to ensure that she goes to a happy, loving home.

Meet Laika! https://youtu.be/PbqVh7KGJjI See why Meagan loves Laika: https://youtube.com/shorts/MY3yj1W-HMk?feature=share -FRIENDLY AND PLAYFUL - AFFECTION DRIVEN -POTTY TRAINED This ridiculously happy girl is going to be an absolutely BELOVED family member for some lucky home! Laika is approximately 2-3 years old and 59 pounds of smiles! This first time mom found herself alone and pregnant when a kind Houstonian took her in. After raising her 9 puppies, Laika is ready for a home of her own! Laika is good with dogs- Our evaluation team had 4 other dogs in the pen with her! Typically during pups' assessment we take it easy and start them out slowly with 1 or 2 dogs. No need to with Laika! She's just a social butterfly!! Laika is good with kids age 8+ and really adores her time with people big and small! Laika is fully Potty trained! She's a bit strong on a leash (so many things to smell!) So she'll need someone willing to help her improve her leash skills so she can comfortably accompany you everywhere you go! No problems with house training but she has a lot of energy so would do best with another dog. Currently fostered in Texas- Laika is ready to transport to her new home in the PNW! Don't miss out on this amazing girl! The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
This is marvelous Mellow and we suspect he is a 55 lb boxer/lab mix but you can never be 100% sure with rescue! It’s always our best guess! Mellow is such a sweet boy and is adjusting well in his new foster home! His current foster home has 3 dogs - a lab, husky and mixed breed and he does well with all the dogs. He also lives in a home with kids and loves them! He would be a wonderful addition to a family with kids! He enjoys playing with the resident dogs but would also do well in a home as the only dog. One thing is for sure … he loves his humans! He enjoys dog toys, playing fetch and just playing in his foster parents backyard! Mellow is crate trained and has no issues going into his crate and sleeping in it all night. He is also house trained but will need time to learn his new routine and where to go potty. This big guy is super people friendly! He’s very treat motivated and has a soft mouth so training should be easy! Mellow loves going on car car rides and would enjoy going on errand runs and road trips with his people. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/tyNgPixR08c His foster family is working with him on leash skills and he’s great on leash! His foster mom also reports he knows how to sit, shake and lay down! He is such a smart boy you should be able to train him to do most anything especially since he is treat motivated. Does Mellow sound like your kinda guy? If so, click on the link below to apply! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van or bus transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $725 and includes all vetting per our veterinarian: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery, flea prevention, 2-6 months of heartworm preventative according to age, heartworm testing and heartworm treatment if applicable, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Story
Are you looking to add some happiness and constant smiles to your life? Stevie Waller is just the girl for you! This bowling ball of happiness is probably one of the happiest dogs you will ever meet. She is always smiling, tail is always wagging, and she greets you like she hasn't seen you in ages every time you return home. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious and she is the best package of happiness that you could ever come home to. Watch her video here: https://youtu.be/BJAFcpu7reU?si=DTwIFRnx_Rx6bJDk Stevie Waller is a pocket pittie mix approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 35lbs and is full grown! We do not expect her to get much bigger, if at all. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Stevie is very dog friendly and loves to play! She did wonderful with everyone we introduced her to and she loved playing with our 2 little 12 lb scruffy dogs that we use for assessments. One of her favorite games is to play chase and she is so mindful about the little dogs as well, making sure that she doesn't run all over them. She knows when to settle down as well and isn't all about play time 24/7. Stevie also did well during her cat test and wasn't overly interested in them. We do not know if she has ever lived with cats before nor can we guarantee that things won't change. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions, she can coexist in a home with cats. She would love to be adopted out to a family with a play mate but does not need to be adopted out with another dog to feel comfortable. She is confident all on her own and does great meeting new people. She loves everyone and knows no stranger. Stevie would also love to have a backyard that she can romp around in and get all the zoomies in and bask in the sunshine. She does have energy but nothing a good exercise, mental stimulation or romp in the backyard can't help. Her energy is mainly associated with how happy she is all the time. She is treat motivated and eager to please which will help make any additional training that much more enjoyable. To our knowledge, she is crate trained and potty trained but may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in her forever home.We are willing to test Stevie Waller with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
