Story
Lily is an active, full-throttle kind of girl! Grab life by the horns and run with it... or grab a big stick rather ! She LOVES running and chasing sticks, the bigger the better!!l She is super confident, a bit bossy, and selective about the company she keeps. Lily isn't a social butterfly, she would love a home with a couple active adults who don't have a ton of social activity in the home. She will protect, and maybe get possessive if allowed, so best to keep some boundaries with her! Smart, athletic girl who needs dog savvy folks with a yard and time to provide lots of love, play time (big sticks!) and ongoing training and stimulation. She doesn't love crowds, so no dog parks for Lily. Experienced dog-savvy applicants ONLY. Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioral issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioral "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Story
*Kai's adoption fee is sponsored by one of her fans!* Who can resist those ears?! And you're sure to be charmed by the silly little grin Kai makes when she wants to play. She's super friendly with other dogs and people and happily greets them with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. She's very affectionate with her people and is happy to share them with her four-legged friends. She's currently living with two other dogs, a husky and a smaller dog, with whom she plays constantly. Kai loves to wrestle and chase. When she's chilling-out, one of her favorite pastimes is lying in the backyard watching the rascally squirrels chatter and tease her as well as watching the three little boys next door play in their yard. She peeks over the fence regularly to check if they're outside. Kai is very receptive to direction, has mastered "sit" and is working on other commands. She sits nicely and waits for her food and doesn't try to eat the other dogs' meals. She's fully house trained, rides well in the car, her recall is great, and she'll generally stop doing something if you ask her to (other than literally climbing the tree to pick apples -- she thinks they're delicious and picks them for the other dogs too!). Kai is a cheerfully energetic girl, but also likes to relax outside or nap by your feet. She truly is a ray of sunshine! Kai adores going on walks. She would love to help get or keep her human in shape! Whether you want to take her for a run or just get your steps in, Kai is all the motivation you need to live your most healthy and active life. Kai is smart and, as mentioned above, has been partially trained so she just needs a patient adopter to finish her education. Kai would do well with adults, teens, and kids ~10+. This is a wonderful dog waiting for you to discover her!

Story
Julius is playful, smart (of course!) and he walks really well on a leash. He’s friendly, easy going (for a Cattle dog) calmly affectionate, and, he is potty trained. And this fine fellow gets along well with other dogs, is sensitive, watchful and ready to have loving, herding breed savvy, adventurous people! Overall, he is a very sweet dog who just needs time to adjust and warm up, but once he does, he leans on his person for affection. At the shelter we rescued him from, he was in a kennel with another really nice shepherd mix that helped him build up his confidence. He had a cow stuffy he liked to carry around at the Shelter, so he likes toys! Nice little Cattle dog!

Australian Cattle Dog Catahoula Leopard Dog

Pt. Richmond, CA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tony is a sweet, handsome, goofy, and energetic lovebug! He wants nothing more than to play with his people and other dogs. This has been the hardest part of helping him recover - restraining his eagerness to PLAY! He seems completely unbothered by the loss of one of his front legs, this boy is ready for action and love! Tony sees every person and dog as a friend and potential playmate. He is learning how to navigate the world with his new body and to walk on a leash with good manners, he is getting really good at "sit". He is also quickly learning that his crate is a happy place and does very well once inside and loves a good chewy toy or treat. Tony would be best in a home with a person/people who will nurture him with lots of love, exercise and continued training; he so badly wants to show that he's the goodest three-legged boy ever! He is extremely food motivated so training should be fun and effective. Tony has endless potential and is ready to show the world that tripods rule! Apply today to meet this wonderful boy!
