Story
Lily is an active, full-throttle kind of girl! Grab life by the horns and run with it... or grab a big stick rather ! She LOVES running and chasing sticks, the bigger the better!!l She is super confident, a bit bossy, and selective about the company she keeps. Lily isn't a social butterfly, she would love a home with a couple active adults who don't have a ton of social activity in the home. She will protect, and maybe get possessive if allowed, so best to keep some boundaries with her! Smart, athletic girl who needs dog savvy folks with a yard and time to provide lots of love, play time (big sticks!) and ongoing training and stimulation. She doesn't love crowds, so no dog parks for Lily. Experienced dog-savvy applicants ONLY. Thank you for considering adoption of a Milo Foundation Sanctuary dog. Our Sanctuary is where our rescued dogs who have had difficulty in a home in the past, have behavioral issues, or too much energy, or for some, aggression issues with other dogs, or intense stranger danger that make them more difficult to safely and happily live in urban environments. These are not beginner dogs or for the most part nor are they for families with children. IF you are looking for an easy dog to add to your family, we suggest looking at the dogs at our Adoption Center, Milo Pt Richmond. BUT, if you can offer a safe and nurturing home to a dog with some behavioral "quirks" please do send an application today. Thank you.

Story
Dinah is a beautiful 3 year old cattle dog girl. She is shy at first and takes some time to adjust. Once she feels comfortable she loves to give hugs and be by her person. She can be a little nippy at times, which is typical of the cattle dog breed given what they are bred for. Dinah is great at playing fetch and will drop the ball at your feet. She would love a family who could play ball with her! She would be better with dog savvy kids because of this or good in an adult only home. If you are interested in meeting this cute cattle girl, please fill out an application on our website.

Story
Meet Copper, a gentle and sweet-natured pup with a soft heart and lots of love to give! 🐾🤎 Copper is a medium-energy dog who can be a little shy at first and needs time to adjust to new people and environments. With patience and kindness, his affectionate personality comes through—he’s affection motivated and loves praise, attention, and reassurance. He has a naturally soft mouth, showing his gentle side. Copper does well with other dogs and is happiest with another dog in the home, as a canine companion helps boost his confidence. He is not good with cats, so a cat-free home is important. On leash, Copper can pull and may be jumpy when excited, but with consistent training and positive reinforcement, he’ll continue to improve his manners. Copper is looking for a calm, loving home that will move at his pace, offer companionship, and help him grow into a confident, loyal best friend. 🐶💕

Meet Rusty 🐾 Rusty is a sweet, thoughtful pup who blossoms best with a canine friend by his side. He’s happiest in a home with another dog, taking comfort and confidence from having a buddy to show him the ropes. With medium energy, Rusty enjoys a nice balance of playtime and relaxation. A quick learner, Rusty is eager to please once he feels comfortable and will thrive with patient, positive guidance. He can be a bit shy at first and needs time to adjust, but give him space and consistency and you’ll see his gentle personality shine through. Rusty does well with other dogs and would be a great fit for a home with dog-savvy children ages 13+ who understand how to respect his boundaries. Story
Tony is a sweet, handsome, goofy, and energetic lovebug! He wants nothing more than to play with his people and other dogs. He seems completely unbothered by the loss of one of his front legs, this boy is ready for action and love! Tony has been a longterm resident, coming to Milo in February of 2025, injured, alone and afraid. He was quickly given the care that he needed, receiving a pricey leg amputation to diminish his paid. Despite the traumas that Tony went through, that we will never know and can probably never imaging, Tony keeps his tail held high not giving up on finding his fuever family. Tony sees every person and dog as a friend and potential playmate. He has learned how to navigate the world with his new body and to walk on a leash with good manners, he is getting really good at "sit". He is also quickly learning that his crate is a happy place and does very well once inside and loves a good chewy toy or treat. Tony would be best in a home with a person/people who will nurture him with lots of love, exercise and continued training; he so badly wants to show that he's the goodest three-legged boy ever! He is extremely food motivated so training should be fun and effective. Tony has endless potential and is ready to show the world that tripods rule! Apply today to meet this wonderful boy!
