Sweet, but conflicted little guy previously adopted in 2013 - Peanut is deaf and selective of his friends both two and four-legged. Previous bio, "Phoenix has gone up to our Sanctuary for a bit to get a break from being kenneled! He is such a sweet boy - playing fetch and running about - yes, he's deaf and a bit OCD - but he is a wonderful companion - bright and cheerful - eager to please and take part - and to have fun!! Phoenix is a very sweet, active and unique fellow. Alert, watchful - and deaf. He has a small bit of hearing - but not much. He is bright and attentive and will learn hand signals readily - he needs structure, lots of activity and perhaps a playful, active mentor hearing dog. A vibrating collar can also be useful with a deaf dog - but cattle dogs are so rugged and sturdy and able to figure their way around problems we thing young Phoenix will manage just fine with herding breed savvy folks!"
