This is Xander! He's a beautiful tan and black Australian Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix. Xander has been in foster with a wonderful dog trainer for a year. He's now a charming, well-mannered and very well-behaved dog. He's got great recall, knows a ton of basic commands, does wonderfully off-leash, and his trainer has taught him loads of other useful commands. And, at such a young age, Xander still has tons of potential to become a great family pet, hiking companion, and/or travel buddy. Goldie, a cattledog mix, about 3 yrs old, has quite a tale to tell. She arrived with a history of hardship, already pregnant and understandably frightened. When her puppies came into the world, she transformed into a fiercely protective mom, allowing only a select few near her precious little ones. Over time, Goldie has learned that we humans aren’t so bad after all. She warms up gradually, appreciating the right introductions. Her preferences are discerning, and she doesn’t find much joy in toys. Instead, Goldie seeks a calm household where she can simply hang out and cuddle on the couch. Leash skills are a work in progress, but she’s making strides. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who appreciates quiet moments, Goldie might just be the perfect fit for you! Adoption fees include: Spay or Neuter, All vaccinations are up to date, and a microchip. If you have current pets we do allow a two week trial period for $50.
