Story
Lycaon was found in traffic near genesis and the 805. He is a very loving lil man who insist on sticking his long snoot between your shoulder and neck and nuzzling. Lycaon would thrive in a family that gives him excessive opportunities to run. Lycaon shows signs of a past with trauma and cowards/flinches with sudden moment and raised hands. He is extremely trusting and affection with his current care taker but has shown aggression towards various other humans and dogs he’s met in day-to-day life. There is not an apparent similarity in the type of person or dog that triggers this fear/aggression response. He would need to go to a home who understands reactive dogs limitations and would work through this challenges safely. Lycaon knows basic commands and recalls perfectly. He is also a ball-obsessed dog to the point where ball time should be limited as to not perpetuate stereotypic behavior.

Story
Sweet intelligent very active. Not hyper but needs more activity than I can give her. Needs large yard and more attentive owner as far as time goes. Will be protective and is playful. Crate trained, lease trained. Needs socialization although is fine taking to restaurants. Not sure what she is mixed with. plays ball. I thought I could give her enough activity but my yard is too small and I work more than I expected she needs. She is about 6 1/2 months old and friendly to all persons. Not sure if she is alright around small kids but she is okay with an 11 year old walking her.

Story
She'll make sure you are fit n fine! That I am! I am Dr. LunchLady and I am a 4 years old, spayed female Aussie Cattledog, all of 27 lbs. I was rescued from ESLR and fostered by my working-dog savvy foster mom. I got adopted but my energy and drive wasn't a match for the home, so here I am! I know that there is a pawtastic home for me, and I will be running around there. I am incontinent and leak urine when relaxing without meds, so I am taking Proin (~$30 for a months supply, price varies on market value and where purchased). I am fully bathroom and leash trained and so smart that I am a honor roll student! I do have a high arousal state and can be leash reactive, more out of frustration than aggression. I mean, I don't mind other dogs, but want to check and make sure they have their license and registrations on them :) I am the Lunchlady! I am a classic working dog and happiest when mentally enriched. I am very sweet and loving with my people, but wary of strangers and take time to warm up.  Toys are my jam and food is my biggest motivator, and so is work! Give me tricks and tasks and watch me flourish! I get along with dogs, more like tolerant, and happiest when we are working together with my person. I do prefer having one confident dog companion. Cats and kids are not really my thing. I do show herding behavior and nervousness. I prefer being mellow at home rather than social trips. Even if taken to a restaurant, my panting is a clear sign of anxiety and shutting down, and not calmness (any dog savvy person will get it!). So being chill at home is ideal for me, and then doing fun stuff in the yard like frisbee, agility, herding, bite-work, obedience.  I would love a high-drive dog savvy person to be my furever human! Someone who sees my athletic and working instincts and performs dedicated activities with me routinely. I have started frisbee and just passed my herding instinct test with flying colors! I am good with other dogs and would do best with at least one, as a confident dog would help me let loose. However, I would be okay as an only dog too! I need an adults only and calm environment without too many strangers being in and out. Please check my IG for more of me @honeybaked_hamdog  If you think we can be a real cool activity loving pair, let's meet up! My adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1787508##

Story
The one with that golden paw! Hi guys! My name is Midas, and everything I touch, becomes my family! I am a 2 year old, 42 lb male Australian Cattledog mix. I have been fixed and working hard on my good manners. I am bathroom and crate trained and working on leash walking skills. So what’s that on my nose you ask? The very sign of human cruelty. I had a so-called owner who took a machete to my face and neck. Pris from Los Adoptables took me in very kindly and then TAP stepped in to bring me to my most amazing foster home. Pris cared for me and found out I was fully blind but with medical intervention, I have regained vision. I do have cataracts and partial retinal detachment. I will have a follow up with an eye specialist in about 3 months wherever my new family wants to take me and they can decide if I need a surgery at that point. Now that’s out of the way, let’s focus on my golden qualities. Do you like class clowns? I am that! I keep everyone in splits with my high energy fun loving nature and goofy antics. Being a cattledog, I love work and play and tricks and treats! From lounging on the couch watching tv to going to the park and playing for what seems like forever I am the boy that can do it all. I am very dog friendly and having a playful dog playmate will keep me so happy! I have met kids but not for long enough. But I sure am adaptable! My foster mama is astounded that in spite of seeing unexplainable cruelty, I have so much love in my heart! What can I say, I am the golden child afterall! I would love a home with a yard where I can play and hang out with my doggo sibling. I would love mental and physical enrichment and will make a great workout companion. And when you need a TV date? Just call me and we will be snuggle buddies. If you want that loving touch in your life, you better meet me! My adoption fee is $250 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. Story
Location: Manteca, CA Three young pups found on the side of the road in a box in the Central Joaquin Valley. The good Samaritan that picked them up called the shelter and the shelter gave her other numbers to call, including Save The Dals. Nobody called her back! She lives in an apartment that doesn’t allow animals but is hiding them for a few days. We need a foster or local rescue ASAP. We know this is happening everywhere but please help us come up with a plan for these puppies. We are guessing these little peanuts to be 10-12 weeks old, all are males and a blend of Cattle dog/Catahoula/Heeler/Collie mixes. If you can help, please email: info@savethedals.org
