Story
Gorda is a wonderful 10 year old dog with an amazing story.  She is from Rosarito, Mexico where she was taken in by a wonderful man who saved many dogs.  He had 28 dogs and always set up by the main road with his dogs.  He was know as the Dog Guy and people always stopped to offer donations or dog food and play with the dogs.  This kind soul dedicated his life to these dogs.  He fed them, took care of them and gave them unconditional love.  Unortunately, he became ill and after a short time passed away.  Gorda was with him throughtout his illness and there til the very end.  Fortunately, most of the dogs have found homes.  Gorda is one of 2 dogs still waiting for her forever home.  She is currently with a foster in Rosarito.  She is in good health, house broken, up to date on all vaccines, is steralized and has been treated for parasites and has received flea and tick treatment.  Please contact us if you would like to meet this beautiful, loving girl.   ##1678051##

Story
Her name is Rio! She is a 16 week old puppy. She is a gorgeous mix of breeds. We rescued her but our older dog is not happy now and it is not a sustainable situation. She would be best in a home as an only dog or with an opposite gender dog. She has been in a home with children 8 and older and a cat. She is sweet with humans, crate trained, house trained, is learning to walk on the leash and knows some basic commands, such as “sit,” and “come.” She is leaning how to fetch with a tennis ball and frisbee. She is working on “leave it” and “stay.” She is still teething. She has had 2 rounds of shots and is due for her final set on 8/28/23. She would do best in a home with some experience with herding breeds.

Story
Meet Summer, an adorable 1.5-year-old mixed breed girl weighing 32 pounds. She's a bundle of fun and gets along great with other dogs. Summer is a social butterfly, always eager to play, and she's really good at making friends with all kinds of dogs. Even with bossy dogs, she's super polite, and she never gets into fights with dogs who act tough. Summer absolutely loves splashing around in the water and will happily jump in for a swim just for fun. She's also a big fan of treats, so she's a quick learner when it comes to training. If you're into agility or other doggy sports, Summer could be a great partner. With her human family, Summer is a big lovebug, but it might take her a little time to get used to new people. All she needs is a bit of patience and affection, and she'll be your best buddy. Whether you're into outdoor adventures, dog sports, or you just want a great friend for your active dog, Summer is your girl. Plus, she really, really loves water! If you're interested in making sweet Summer a part of your family, please reach out to us. She's waiting for her forever home!

Meet Dua! This amazing dog is fun loving, active, and smart! She loves playing at the beach and jumping into the waves. Dua is currently being fostered in San Diego and does well with cats and other dogs. She has great will to please, she knows sit and gives her paw. She would do great on a home with a large yard where she could be busy helping out on the land. She happily learns new things and would be a perfect adventure companion!

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing, so ARRF is unfamiliar with this dog. Contact information is at the end of her bio. Shandy is a Cattle Dog/Lab mix who is 3 ½ years old, weighs 55 lbs., and is a tricolored, spayed female. She is in a home at present, but the other dog in the home will not bond with her, which is causing a lot of friction. Her owners feel Shandy would thrive better in a home of her own. Shandy is housetrained, crate-trained, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Naturally curious, she wants to investigate what you’re doing. She will also quietly observe you around the house from her crate or dog bed, sleep on the bath mat while you shower, and relax on the floor while you cook. She knows basic commands and is good on a leash. Once playtime of fetch or frisbee is done, she wants nothing more than to relax near her people! To meet Shandy, contact her foster, Emily, by phone, text, or email: Emily.c.gaine@gmail.com; (650) 468-7733.

Story
Marco is a beautiful Red Heeler mix with lots of interest in herding whatever there is to herd. He is a dog that would do best in a single-dog family as he is not interested in the companionship of other dogs, cats or children. He's looking for an adopter who is NOT a first time dog owner that has some experience and a lot of interest in training dogs. The right person will be rewarded with an extremely intelligent and responsive dog who will be their friend forever.Marco will do well in an environment where he gets both physical and mental exercise every day to keep him happy, healthy and his very active mind busy. Marco's foster parents state that he is a good dog that is affectionate and likes to be around them.If you are interested in adopting a dog who has the mind of a rocket scientist and exceptionally good looks, Marco could be the one for you. He is currently reviewing applications so please click below and submit yours today if you'd like to come meet him.
