I adopted him from Humane Society in August 2025. He was 7 months old when I adopted him. He is very loyal and attached to the primary handler. He is super smart and can learn anything in minutes. Very food motivated, active. He can stay alone conformably at home for 8-10 hours. He doesn’t like strangers ( he is scared of them) He doesn’t know how to regulate his fear. He will benefit from less traffic home with no children. I personally think he will benefit from other dogs in the household. You should have the time to work with him through his fear. He can be walked and taken care of by only few people he trusts not by everyone. He will not like random people handling him like putting on and taking off the leash. He also have food guarding behavior and has to feed alone with no one touching him. He had incidents where he snapped at people while they touched him while eating. Will be happy to give more transparent details

Lester is NOT my given name...... it was a nickname given to me when I was saved at a gas station and attempted to "own" half the rescue crew by.... wait for it....by humping them!! Thus, Lester the **lester was born...But NOW my humping is done, I am neutered and happy and playful and much more respectful of my people! I am a gorgeous boy, and super friendly. I was found be a trucker at a truck stop- looking for love in all the wrong places :( BUT, he contacted the rescue who swooped down and saved me!! And I have been living the LIFE ever since :0 However, my life is NOT complete without my OWN family! No one really knows how i ended up at the truck stop, but you should know that I was loyal til the end..... waited and watched for my family at all hours of the day and night.... Rusty, Sweet neutered male, is a bit shy at first but warms up to people quickly. Rusty plays well with other dogs and is curious about cats. He lives in a home with five cats, 2 dogs and a 7 year old. He loves playing fetch with the ball and is working on bringing it back and dropping the ball. Rusty does well in his kennel at night, and when no one is home. He uses a dog door and is house trained. Rusty likes to go on walks however it is best to go early in the morning or late in the day when there is not a lot of traffic or people. He gets scared by the cars.
