Story
Introducing Auburn! Auburn is a beautiful Cattle Dog / Heeler mix who is approximately 3 years old and currently weighs 30 pounds. We rescued this gorgeous gal from the Hondo, TX shelter and although we don’t really know much bout he background, it is clear that people have not always been very kind to her. During her spay surgery, our vet discovered that she had been shot in the leg with a pellet gun. All of that is behind her now and we are excited to help this sweet girl find the loving home she deserves. Auburn is a gentle and curious. She needs someone who will go slow with her so that she can feel comfortable knowing that she will be treated kindly. Once she feels safe, she loves getting attention and affection. She gets along well with the other dogs in her playgroup and is happy and playful! With patience and lots of love we know Auburn will blossom and become a wonderful, loving companion to her new family. She is just waiting for that special person to understand her! She has a heart of gold and shows ZERO aggression of any kind. Sweet, submissive and needs one on one time and love, that we cannot give her here at the rescue. Auburn is located at our rescue in Hondo, Texas. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $325. She is available for a meet and greet with an approved application. Auburn tested positive for Chagas disease and has started her treatment. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. Echo: The Sweetest Little Cattle Dog With a Heart of Gold. Echo is a gentle, 25‑pound cattle dog beauty who will melt you the moment you look into her soft, soulful eyes. Rescued from the La Joya shelter in the Rio Grande Valley, she’s left her tough beginnings behind and is ready for a life filled with love, safety, and kindness. Story
Meet Screech — The Little Dog Who Chose His Person Screech’s story starts at the Hondo shelter, where he was moments away from being transported out. But when he spotted Tracy, he made his feelings loud and clear — he screeched for her to take him off the van, and that’s exactly what she did. This sweet boy knew he deserved a chance, and he wasn’t afraid to ask for it. Screech absolutely loves people and thrives on human companionship. He’s food‑motivated, eager to please, and would benefit from a fun training class to help him become the best version of himself. With guidance, affection, and structure, he’ll blossom into an incredible companion. What Screech wants most is a home where he can be close to his humans. He bonds deeply and loves with his whole heart. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who chose love from the very beginning, Screech is ready to choose you next. He is located in Hondo, Texas If you would like to add this cutie to your family, please review our process and complete an application here - https://www.tracyspawsrescue.org/adopt Learn more about our rescue here: https://www.facebook.com/TracysPawsRescue Services our dogs receive prior to adoption: Chagas Testing Heartworm and Tick Testing (age appropriate) All age-appropriate vaccines Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives Spay/neuter surgery Microchip *The breed(s) listed are guessed and based on the dog's physical appearance*

Story
Howdy there, it’s Primo! Even though I love people, large crowds just aren`t my jam. Too many people all at once just makes me a bit nervous. I prefer one on one interactions or chilling out with a few people. I like to lean against you, begging for you to give me love. Can we snuggle the day away? I’m not that comfortable around younger kids, so I`d prefer a home with older kids or adults. With your patience you’ll find me to be a very gentle and handsome cuddle bug who has so much love to give! If you want to become my friend, come meet me!!
