Story
If you're searching for a smart, athletic, and loyal dog who is adventure ready, Kai is your guy! Estimated to be around 2 years old, this handsome boy is giving us undercover-corgi vibes. Of course we cannot guarantee breed or birthday but this boy looks an awful lot like long legged corgi dressed up as herder…maybe Heeler or Aussie. His personality is a beautiful balance of the classic traits the breeds are know for: brains, energy, and a strong desire to connect with their people. Take a look at him in action then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/rc2NO4SRhU0 Kai weighs in at a perfect medium size guy weighing in at 41 lbs. He is so fortunate to be waiting for his adoption day in a devoted foster home alongside seven small dogs, a cat and at one point several foster kittens and a mama cat . He gets along with all of them and has shown he can live peacefully with a calm, medium-energy dog—he enjoys a good chase game more than wrestling and loves his down time as much as a good run. His ideal dog friend isn’t the constant-play type and knows how to take breaks Kai has basic leash skills and enjoys regular walks with his foster. He passes dogs with ease and can be initially avoidant when meeting new dog. Off leash, he’s more confident and relaxed, which is where his true social side shines. His herding instinct occasionally comes through in ankle nibbles during play, but it’s more playful than problematic and something a herding-savvy adopter will understand. Kai is not a fit for apartment living—he’s an active guy who needs space to move and explore. A home with a yard is the goal, and bonus points if you’re a runner, hiker, or outdoor enthusiast looking for a dog to join you. He could be a stellar jogging partner or trail buddy! Indoors, he’s crate-trained and he happily puts himself to bed in his kennel at night when told “bed.” He’s house trained and has good manners with people, and in the house. Kai has met neighborhood kids and does well with them, though older kids are best due to his energy and occasional urge to jump when excited. Kai has lived with cats and has shown that he can cat-tolerant and respectful. He has lived with kittens to adult cats and his foster shares that he enjoys watching them play. When he met our house cat, who is very confident and approaches dogs with a very forward and fearless approach, we could see he was interested but cautious. He has the potential to attempt to chase a cat, we all know cats personalities vary so much, but with slow intros and clear boundaries he has shown he can live peacefully with feline friends. Kai is a dog with drive, personality, and potential to be your perfect pal. If you’re ready, Kai is ready to be your devoted partner for life! Questions? First thing's first....have you seen those ears?! Oh my goodness Bronco's ears are one the many amazing things about him! He is not only extremely adorable, but he is also treat motivated, dog friendly, affectionate, and has such a sweet personality. Watch Bronco's video here: https://youtu.be/tiY_pz9y2Mk?si=anupQwyqfW_PrDaT Bronco is believed to be a a cattle dog mix that is currently 7 months old and currently weighs 31 lbs with room to grow. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Bronco is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play. He loves toys and his happy place is next to you getting belly scratches. This handsome boy wants to be your very best friend! Bronco is also very dog friendly and is currently fostered in a multi-dog home all ranging in sizes and personalities and he gets along great with all of them. Bronco has even been around dogs that are more reserved and shy around other dogs. He is so gentle and mindful of the fact that they might be ready to be his friend yet. He loves to give sweet little face kisses and takes corrections well from other dogs if they aren't wanting to play. Bronco also is great around small dogs too. He shares treats and affection around other dogs, no jealously with him. He knows there's enough to go around. He is a young fella and would do best in a home with another medium energy playful dog that is looking for a new bestie. Bronco is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Bronco's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67f52071293addcfb505e894 Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $900.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Story
Nova is an eye-catching dog. Somewhere between her smile, her brindle/spotted combo coat, and her expressive ears she grabs you and pulls you right in and the best part is she is as beautiful as she is sweet! She’s the kind of dog who doesn’t demand you pay attention to her but soaks up every bit of it when you do. Ill share the double whammy, the one-two combo… its belly rubs and baby talk. You’ll know you are doing it right because her tail won’t hide the happiness. Nova is estimated to be 1.5 years old and she weighs 41 lbs, a bit of a Goldilocks size- not too small, not too big, just right! Given Nova is a rescue we cannot guarantee age or breed but we believe she may be a cattle dog/pittie mix. Take a look for yourself- you’ll see where we get that from pretty easily. Nova is so lucky and is being fostered in a loving home while she waits for her adoption day. Her foster family has shared such positive feedback on her we say she is pretty much move-in ready. She’s house- and crate-trained, has excellent manners at home, and currently lives with kids (ages 9, 10, and 13), fitting in seamlessly with family life. Nova is also dog-friendly but isn’t going to be out trying to make friends with every passing dog. She likes to take it slow and once she has got to know them a bit, she warms up and plays well. The afternoon we spent with her she met a handful of other dogs and got along well with them all but had a great match with a medium-energy male who matched her vibe without overwhelming her. We also introduced her to our house cat and she was eager to meet him but was cautious and polite. I was impressed by how easily she could walk away from him and share space without being overly concerned about where he was. Turns out I had somehow missed that he lives with a cat in his foster home! So no shock knowing that along with seeing her meet a new cat, Nova is cat-tolerant! One area where Nova is practicing daily to improve on is her leash skills. She has the basics down but sometimes can’t decide which side she wants to walk on. Barely a problem in out book but definitely a detail that can be addressed to make walking her a bit easier and less “hazardous” lol, but she’s eager to please and very responsive to gentle handling. Her foster family shared she is quiet, not much of a barker, so we believe with the right balance of mental and physical stimulation, she could absolutely thrive in an apartment. Nova’s not high-maintenance. She’s the kind of dog who’s happy to hang out, go on a good walk, and be part of your day. We could see her being an awesome hiking pal, walking partner, and/or your laid-back road trip co-pilot. She doesn’t need anything wild though, just someone looking for a dependable companion who doesn’t need to be the center of attention but loves to be part of your crew. Nova is ready to be your best friend for it all. He’s affectionate and always up for belly rubs and attention. Bluey has done well with people and kids, though he hasn’t had much interaction with other animals yet. He’s a healthy young dog to the best of our knowledge, with no known medical or behavioral issues. His previous medical records were misplaced, but we’re working on retrieving them from his former vet. Bluey deserves a home where he can get the time, attention, and activity he loves.

Story
Jasper is a 12-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who has been a cherished member of his family for the past 10 years. At a healthy 50 pounds, Jasper is a sturdy dog with a peaceful disposition. He’s a gentle soul with a calm and affectionate demeanor, making him the perfect companion for those seeking a loyal and laid-back friend. Jasper absolutely loves car rides and walks, and you can see the excitement in his eyes whenever it's time to head out for an adventure! He’s never shown aggression toward people or animals, peacefully coexisting with chickens and a cat for many years. He also has a playful side and enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard from time to time. He gets along with all sizes, breeds, and ages of dogs. He has been around children and done very well. As he ages, Jasper is starting to lose some of his hearing, but his loving, loyal personality remains as strong as ever. During the day, you’ll often find him lounging around the house, enjoying restful moments. Jasper makes an excellent adventure buddy.
You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive.
Story
Meet Castiel! Castiel is currently 3 1/2 months old, and we think he may be an Aussiepoo— Australian Shepherd poodle mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Castiel is a joyful boy with a wiry coat, probably moderate to low shedder, and he’s young so he has spunky energy. He likes toys and playing with kids! He tries to instigate play and engagement. Castile is so unique and beautiful! Everywhere we take him, people talk about how unique he is! Castiel is a Good little guy! He played with Jessica - another small playful dog- and he is not too pushy with his play, for a puppy. He played chase for a little bit and would come back up to me to sit next to my feet. Once he got tired he would lay down in front of me and relax taking all the affection he could get. He is a puppy so he will need some training as he gets older, but he will learn quickly because he is very much a people pleaser. When he met my kids ages 4 and 7, he was joyful and wanted to engage with them. He’s very trusting and outgoing. He does like toys and wants to initiate play. He met a cat with us and was uninterested. Watch Castiel's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA8uxj60QXw Castiel is currently in a loving foster home and loves to play and take lots of naps! Castiel is a special boy who doesn't let anything slow him down. He has limited eyesight and hearing but is still fully capable of jumping up on the couch for a romp and a snuggle. He is not shy and adores other dogs and wants to be everyone's friend. Castiel is a one of a kind guy! It’s not everyday you get the chance to adopt a blue eyed wonderboy! If you are looking for a friend to spend your days with, Castiel is your guy! Castiel is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Baron's new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6847277be1ba93663e02dcd5 Please email emilyparsons@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. The adoption fee is $1000.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.

Story
Let me introduce you to the warm soul we call George, He has a comforting presence. George can come off a little reserved at first, but that’s just because he’s not the type to push for attention. He’s the quiet kind—like a best friend who’s always there, steady and grounding. George has all the traits of a loyal, loving dog and he is ready to find himself at home. What stands out most about George is how easy his company is. He’s slow and steady across the board—whether he’s meeting new people, walking on leash, hanging with other dogs, or encountering a cat.. Based on his look and temperament, we think he may be a Kelpie/Shepherd mix, estimated to be around 4 years old, and he weighs 50 lbs. As with any rescue, we can’t say with total certainty on age or breed, but he is fully-grown size so we can testify to how perfectly midsize he is. George is so fortunate and is being fostered in a loving home while he waits for his adoption day and this not only gives us a front-row account to hi personality but he also gets to learn and master the best house manners while he waits. His foster has praised George for how well he rides in the car- laying in the back peacefully, only perking up once they have arrived. He is also both house and crate trained! We loooove that! George lives with both cats and dogs in his foster home and he gets along well with them all. We spent an afternoon with George outside of his foster home to get a feel of his play style and approach to new dogs along with observing him meet a new cat. The first thing that jumped out was just how politely George meets new dogs on-leash. He showed a little excitement when he saw the first dog, it was contained but obvious, he was happy to meet a possible playmate. With each additional dog the approach was the same, neutral and calm. Although he never found the perfect playmate to really let loose, he was easy company and is dog-friendly. The most natural pairing was with a female, similar age to him, with a sense of confidence and bouts of playfullness. If going into a home with another dog, that would be almost exactly the type of dog he would be best with. Dogs like George, who come across as reserved, are often naturally independent, confident and content with their own company. Another quality we love! Even though we know George lives with cats we love to see a dog in a new environment, meeting a new cat to get a grasp on what that could look like once he is arriving in a new home. He was introduced on leash and he was curious but respectful and calm. As the cat got more animated and jumpy playing with a toy, George definitely thought it was an invitation to play. He obviously can live peacefully with cats but we all know, cat personalities are a variable. If joining a house with a cat(s), it would be best if they were dog savvy. He will respect a swat and may need one to mind a boundary. George would do great in a home with a yard, if for no other reason than his simple joy of laying in the shade on a patch of green grass. It is heaven to watch! He has great basic leash skills with a nice pace but a hectic, busy environment might throw off his vibes. Basically, the busy environment of elevators and lobby are not for him. He could do it, but we can see he isn’t much of a busy city guy. The same goes for family-life, he could do it but he has really been spoiled by a foster home with the occasional 20 something year old kid coming by to do laundry. In other words, empty-nester? Not with George! He is ready to fill your time with good company! Invite this boy home to peaceful place and a patch of grass, with a doggie friend and a cool cat and George will be there to take it all in—his pace and by your side! If you’ve got room in your life for a gentle heart and a quiet companion, George is ready to bring calm, sweetness, and unwavering loyalty into your world. Questions? Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
