Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please email us for the link to the adoption application (His adoption fee is only to cover transport and health certificate to travel to another state.)

Story
Eleven pounds of fluff, freckles, and fabulous mischief — Molly has arrived. At just 8 weeks old, this speckled-nose country girl is equal parts charm and chaos (the very best kind). Molly started her life tucked inside a hay bale in rural Virginia, where her devoted mama kept her and her siblings safe and well-loved. Thanks to that amazing start, Molly is wonderfully socialized, friendly, and ready to take on the world — preferably your living room first. She’s spunky, bright, and already showing off her quick-learner skills. Toys? Yes. Snuggles? Absolutely. Investigating absolutely everything? Without hesitation. Molly will need a home where someone is around to help her perfect her potty training and continue building all those good puppy habits. She’s smart and eager — she just needs a consistent teammate. If you’re ready for fluffy kisses, tiny zoomies, and a lifelong best friend who began her story in a hay bale but plans to end it on your couch… Molly is your girl. 🐾 The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, the deposit will be returned with proof of sterilization. Petconnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Twelve pounds of floppy fluff and delightful nonsense — Marble has entered the chat. If there’s a goofy moment to be had, Marble will find it… and then trip over his own paws on the way there. At 8 weeks old and already 12 lbs, he’s the sweet, slightly silly brother who leads with his heart (and occasionally his face). Like his siblings, Marble started life tucked inside a hay bale in rural Virginia, protected by an amazing mama who made sure her puppies were well-loved and well-socialized. The result? A friendly, affectionate boy who thinks people are the very best invention ever. Marble is curious, playful, and oh-so-sweet. He’s a quick learner, eager to please, and ready to soak up all the love and training you can offer. He’ll need a home where someone is around to help him master potty training and guide him through those important puppy basics. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a speck of mischief, a whole lot of heart, and just enough goofball energy to keep you laughing — Marble is your guy. 🐾 The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. Story
Thirteen pounds of bravery, bounce, and bedtime snuggles — Magpie is ready to explore the world (and then curl up in your arms afterward). At just 8 weeks old and already 13 lbs, Magpie is the bold adventurer of the bunch. New toy? He’s on it. New yard? Let’s investigate. New people? Best friends immediately. He started life tucked safely inside a hay bale in rural Virginia, where his incredible mama made sure he and his siblings were well-socialized, confident, and full of love. Magpie is curious, playful, and wonderfully outgoing — but when the exploring is done, he melts into a total cuddle bug. He absolutely loves to snuggle and is happiest when he can tuck himself right against you. He’s a quick learner who will thrive with consistent guidance. Like any young puppy, he’ll need a home where someone is around to help him master potty training and continue building great habits. If you’re looking for a little explorer by day and a devoted snuggler by night, Magpie is your perfect match. 🐾 The adoption fee for this puppy is $475, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. A $250 spay/neuter deposit is required at time of adoption. This fee covers spay/neuter at one of PetConnect's preferred veterinary partners. Story
Meet SKYE! Skye is a gorgeous 9 month old, 40 pound red and white Australian Shepherd/Collie mix. Her freckled nose. black eyeliner, and fluffy tail with its white tip add to her beautiful looks. She is very sweet and lovable and is crate trained. But at less than a year, Skye has energy, puppy playfulness and excitability. She will need exercise, patience and reinforcement of training so this young dog can become the well-behaved dog she can be. Skye loves to go for walks! After exercise, Skye can also chill out comfortably and will cuddle with you during quiet times. Skye is smart, but, as with any young dog, she will need to continue with some basic training. Skye ended up at a rural North Carolina shelter, and we can only imagine how she wondered why her family did not come find her and take her home. She is so happy that PetConnect has come to her rescue and brought her to the DC area to find a forever family that will give her the attention that she deserves. Skye would love to curl up with you to hang out on a cold winter night! She would be an excellent new member of the active family! ***Please note that the first step is to fill out an application (It does not commit you in anyway but allows us to discuss with you if you and the dog are a good fit). In addition, an important step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies ), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Skye is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system. Story
Skye is a rescue, originally born in a shelter in VA. I believe this is where the ingrained anxiety may come from. She needs a home with no other dogs. She is fine with dogs on walks, she is even my husband's service dog and helps him on walks with the kids because he is hard of hearing and she basically herds them. She would make an amazing princess of any home that she could relax in without feeling reactive towards another dog. She has been in training, rigorous training, and on Prozac and it did not change the situation. She could likely come off Prozac after settling in a new home, once her anxiety settled! It did make her gain weight. Anyway, she really is a beautiful baby girl that needs a home where she can shine as the independent woman she is! She even attends events with my husband and does well! We pray to find her the perfect home!
