Story
Meet Spade! Spade is a 5-year-old, 60-pound Kelpie mix with a gentle, easygoing personality. He’s a low-energy guy who enjoys relaxed sniffy walks and then settling in for some quality couch time with his people. Spade’s favorite thing in the world is being with his family—wagging his tail and soaking up the company. He is fully potty trained, crate trained, and happily sleeps in his crate at night. He also does well with other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with canine friends. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to join you on long walks and then unwind together at home, Spade might be your perfect match. 💙 Spade is currently locate in Middletown, NJ. His adoption fee is $430 thanks to a generous donor. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Our old, perfect, classy lady Daisy. Daisy is a 7-year-old mix who weighs approximately 40 lbs and is the sweetest girl. You wouldn’t know she was 7 years old, as she is a puppy by heart. With Daisy you get a cuddling, loving older dog demeanor with the playfulness and happiness of a puppy. And almost no training necessary! Daisy is house and crate trained. Daisy gets along great with other dogs and would do wonderful in a home with another dog to keep her company. She absolutely loves people and is the first one to greet anyone that is coming through the door or gate. Daisy was found roaming the streets of south Texas by Mexico; She was super skinny and you could just see the defeated look in her face. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw her and couldn’t just turn away from her. She has been in the care of a sanctuary for 6 months now. She is a very relaxed dog. She just wants to lay out in the sun, play a little bit, relax and just hang out. Daisy would do great in a home that is a bit more relaxed and wants a dog that is very casual but VERY loving. She does great on car rides! Her favorite thing to eat are hot dogs. The foster says one of her favorite things about Daisy is that she doesn’t destroy toys, so all toys survive around Daisy, SO FAR. She doesn’t really know commands, but she loves to follow you around, and just wants to find her perfect humans. Please consider giving old lady Daisy a chance at her forever home. Daisy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY - Only one transport company goes here, times vary Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT - Only one transport company goes here, times vary Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. With an approved application, we do put you in touch with the Texas foster who has the doggy for you to make sure the pup is the perfect fit.

Story
Georgey (or in Spanish, Gorge) is an 11-month-old pup that weighs approximately 32 lbs. While we do not know who his parents are, we believe he is Australian kelpie mixed with lab or catahoula. Either way, he is definitely adorable and very petite. We do think he is full grown as he has not grown since we got him. He has been in foster care since March 2025 - He was born on a ranch in south Texas, where a stray dog had puppies at. Only Gorge and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered though. We don’t know what happened to the other puppies or the parents. This awesome boy absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. He is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Gorge is a goofy boy – he is always willing to try something first and would be considered the “class clown” of the group. He is a pleaser and loves being accepted by the other dogs. He is more submissive than most. Gorge loves his toys and playing around the yard. There is nothing he does not like doing. He is all around a very relaxed and easy going boy that would fit almost all types of households. He loves being around his people and will follow you around, trying to please you too. Gorge gets a little jealous when other dogs are out playing and he is in kennel. He will make very sad whimpering sounds in hopes to get let out, and usually it works! Gorge loves his toys so much that he decides it’s much better to have 20 pieces of one toy than just one toy! Tough toys are definitely a must for young Gorgey. He has met kitties and he has no issues with them! He would live very happy with other dogs and kitties in the home. Gorge is so friendly that he loves kids, strangers and really, any human! Gorge would love a home that has another dog or dogs, where he can play, have a kiddo pool full of water to lay in and go on walks around the neighborhood to explore and see new things. He would be truly great for most types of households. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Story
Looking for a real-life Red Dog? Meet Reeses! If Reeses looks and feels familiar, it's because he bears a striking resemblance to the legendary Australian Red Kelpie star of the beloved hit movie Red Dog. Just like the iconic movie pup, Reeses has that handsome red coat, bright amber eyes, signature pricked ears, and an adventurous, fiercely loyal spirit. In the film, Red Dog was famous for his incredible intelligence, his resilience, and his ability to touch the heart of everyone he met. Reeses shares that exact same magic—despite spending four long years in a shelter, his loving nature remains totally unbroken. He’s an athletic, highly trainable boy who is ready to find his special human and become a true legend in your life. Help Reeses write his own happy movie ending—apply to foster or adopt him today! Reeses is a stunning, 4½-year-old, Red Kelpie/Shepherd mix who has spent nearly his entire life—almost four long years—waiting behind kennel bars. Found as a stray puppy, he missed out on early socialization and home life, but despite spending 1,400 days in a shelter, his spirit remains unbroken. Reeses is a loving, resilient, and fiercely intelligent boy who is bursting with untapped potential. All he needs is a chance to step into the real world. Why You’ll Love Him Heart of Gold: In spite of his long shelter stay, Reeses has maintained a deeply affectionate disposition and loves his people unconditionally. Smart and Trainable: He is bright, confident, and eager to learn. With structured leadership and formal obedience training, he will flourish into a stellar companion. Adventure Ready: Athletic and energetic, Reeses is the ultimate trail buddy for anyone who loves hiking, long walks, and outdoor exploring. Dog Friendly: He gets along well with select dogs with proper introductions. How You Can Save His Life Our rescue is urgently seeking a committed foster home or adoptive family so we can pull Reeses out of the shelter immediately. As a foster, you provide the safe landing pad and guidance he needs to transition into home life—at no cost to you. Four years in a kennel is four years too long. Open your home and heart to Reeses today, and give this incredible boy the second chance he has waited a lifetime to receive. Interested in fostering or adopting Reeses? Email us at Rescuewithoutborders@gmail.com to help us pull Reeses to safety!
