I am looking to rehome my 5-year-old neutered Australian Shepherd. He is energetic, intelligent, loyal, playful, and affectionate. He is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, and not aggressive toward strangers or other dogs (though he can be shy or reactive in the first instance depending on the circumstance). He would do best with a good owner who understands herding breeds and can provide a safe and loving home. In certain situations, he will nip at legs indoors, which is consistent herding behavior. He is very food-driven and responds well to positive reinforcement.

In Ewing: Casper is a 2 year old super sweet big ball of fluff. He’s almost 60 pounds. He’s fully vetted and has been neutered. He is great with other dogs and plays with my other foster for hours. He is sweet with my 3 yr old granddaughter and plays well with the standard female. He is NOT good with cats or other small creatures like raccoons and opossums. He has had a rough start in life. His original owner is in hospice. The hospice coordinator took him to her parents but dad is in a wheelchair and he got loose and hit by a car. They paid for his leg to be fixed but knew they weren’t the right placement. Casper can run like the wind as you would expect a 2 yr old Aussie to do and needs a family to keep up with his energy. A fenced in yard is preferred.
