She had her back right leg amputated and is happier and faster than ever! She was born with a deformed leg that our vet determined was causing her pain and made it harder for her to get around. Maddy is timid around new people, but with a little time (and plenty of treats!) she warms up and understands you are safe to be around. She adapts to adults faster than children and will probably do better in a home with no kids or older, patient kids. Maddy does great with other dogs and loves to play with her foster siblings! Her ideal home is one without dogs or young kids. --*Must have a completely fenced-in yard with a tall fence and should not be left unsupervised in the yard for more than a few minutes. Misty is quite athletic; she can scale an 8-ft fence with ease, and she loves the workout that digging provides. Misty's journey began as a street dog, but she managed to overcome adversity and raise a beautiful litter of six puppies, all of whom have found loving homes. She has been living with a foster and learning all about the comforts and expectations of living in a home. Misty thrives on human companionship and would benefit from having someone present during the day.
