Meet Robin! She is a 1 yr old female Australian Kelpie mix that weighs 37.6 lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 11/12. When she first came in she was underweight at 33lbs, scared and untrusting. Can't say I blame her as people were not kind to her. Since being at the shelter, we promised her we would take care of her and show she can have trust and confidence again. She took our words to heart and is much happier. Robin loves to romp around the shelter yard chasing balls and climbing on the equipment. She walks well on a leash, takes treats gently, knows the sit and paw commands. She didn't show any interest in the other dogs, but we do always ask if there will be another dog in the home to please ask the shelter for a dog test. Robin is also a big lovebug! She enjoys sitting close, being petted and will climb in your lap and give plenty of kisses. She has a gentle and loving heart, and such a sparkle in her eyes. She now hopes that she can find her own loving family that won't let her down again. One that will shower her with hugs and kisses, and a secured backyard for exercise and chasing balls. Most importantly she wants to be included in family activities, going for walks, and living inside cuddling close on the couch and falling fast asleep next to her human companions. Please come meet this wonderful girl!

This pretty pup is Lila! We call her Lila Bee and she is the sweetest! Lila is an Australian Kelpie and loves to run. She really just wants to be a lap/sofa pup and because of her temperment inside we think she would also be a candidate for apartment living and we never say that. She currently lives with several other dogs from small to large and one resident cat. Though I have never left her unattended with the cat. She is very kind and respectful when meeting new dogs and people. Proper intros are important for all animals. Lila is apprx 35 lbs., apprx 2 years old, fully vetted, and heartworm negative. She is kennel and houstrained and has NEVER has an accident inside the house. And to be a herding dog breed, she is actually very quiet.
