This handsome boy is Reno, an Australian Kelpie mix that was brought in as a stray to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 1/12. He weighs 36 pounds and is about 2 years old. Reno appears to have been nicely cared for. He knows the sit and paw commands (in fact he will give you both left and right paws). He is very sociable, friendly, affectionate, wants to climb into your lap and will give kisses. He is a charming, gentle, sweet, well-behaved boy who would doubtless make someone a wonderful companion. He does walk well on a leash. He played with several toys and balls in our meet and greet room. Reno is also quite the curious boy. In the yard, he had his nose to the ground and covered pretty much the entire area. He loves treats and takes them quite politely. He sincerely hopes that his stay at the shelter will be a short one and that a new person or family with step forward and adopt or foster and stay committed to him. Reno is a delightfully sweet, loveable and charming boy. He deserves to live as an inside dog spending time with his loving family.

While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Meet Leo! He is a 8yr old neutered Australian Cattle dog, possibly some shepherd, that weighs 44lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/16 as a stray. It`s possible he may have a few other breeds in his mix. Doesn’t matter tho, as he is very handsome and will charm you with his smile. He loves to get out of his kennel and go for walks to stretch his legs. He passes by the other dogs barking at him with no issues to go outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Taking in all the smells, with that constant smile on his face. He found a few stuffed toys that he enjoyed tossing around. He enjoys being petted and loved on and on occasion he may give you a kiss. He also knows the sit command and takes treats gently. He would love to have an active family to take him for walks, and have a secured yard to play in. Most importantly live indoors so he can enjoy family time with his human companions. You can’t go wrong with this wonderful guy. Come meet Leo!

She is a happy-go-lucky, lively, active girl with a winsome personality, stunning ice blue/gray eyes and a beautiful coat! She walks well on a leash. She may be house trained too. She knows the sit command and will do so for treats which she takes gently. She is well behaved, calm, and gentle with a moderate activity level. She had such a great time in the yard, stretching her legs and getting some exercise. Her perfect forever home would be one in which she would have a yard to move about in and yet spend the majority of her time inside with her people cuddled up on a warm, soft bed and enjoying her golden years in luxury!
