Hershey is friendly and outgoing, both with people and dogs and will be a wonderful companion. She walks wonderfully on a leash, never pulls, and takes cues from the hooman walking her. Frasier is a 3 year old 52 pound-Australian Kelpie/German Shepherd mix that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/25 as a stray. If you will open your heart and home to this sweet boy, you will be rewarded with love and loyalty. He comes when he’s called. He seeks affection. He stays close to his human. At one point he even nudged me with his nose! He doesn’t know the sit command, but we know how smart German Shepherds are. He has the potential to learn many commands. He is calm, gentle, loving, and well behaved. He walks very well on a leash. He did his business as soon as he got out in the yard. This time around he would like to get outside to romp and play, but then come back in to chill with his family.

Meet Max 🐾 Max is a handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a heart as big as his smile. We originally adopted Max out as a puppy, and for the first four years of his life he served as an emotional support companion for a teenager. When his family lost their home due to landlord issues, they were heartbreakingly forced to surrender him. His next owner loved him for a year and invested in both intermediate and advanced training classes, making Max a well-mannered, well-rounded companion. House & Crate trained--Knows basic commands---Completed intermediate and advanced training classes---Great with other dogs, including the many Chihuahuas in his foster home Max weighs about 60 pounds and still has plenty of great years ahead of him. He loves being with his people and wherever the other dogs are, that's where you'll find Max too. Most nights he sleeps on a pillow beside his foster mom's bed, although every now and then he sneaks into the bed for extra cuddles. Max is also the perfect road-trip buddy. He absolutely loves riding shotgun and has become his foster moms favorite driving companion. Whether its a quick trip to the store or a longer adventure, Max is happiest when he's along for the ride. his absolute favorite things in life? Swimming and playing fetch! Rugby is a sweet dog he is mostly kelpi not 100% if full bred or mixed. He was my mother’s companion for years till she passed away. He has been forced to come live with me and my family, however we have a newborn and I have too many trust issues to even attempt introducing. He is great with my 11 year old but has a bad history with small animals. Very sweet dog. He is house trained, he does bark and sound mean when he meets new people but it’s all just until he gets pets. I truly wish I could keep him but it’s just not something I am comfortable with. I can Negotiate the rehoming fee if I know he is going somewhere safe. He is 7-8 years old and I just want him to have a good time till he meets my mom again one day. Thanks!!
