Meet Max 🐾 Max is a handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a heart as big as his smile. We originally adopted Max out as a puppy, and for the first four years of his life he served as an emotional support companion for a teenager. When his family lost their home due to landlord issues, they were heartbreakingly forced to surrender him. His next owner loved him for a year and invested in both intermediate and advanced training classes, making Max a well-mannered, well-rounded companion. House & Crate trained--Knows basic commands---Completed intermediate and advanced training classes---Great with other dogs, including the many Chihuahuas in his foster home Max weighs about 60 pounds and still has plenty of great years ahead of him. He loves being with his people and wherever the other dogs are, that's where you'll find Max too. Most nights he sleeps on a pillow beside his foster mom's bed, although every now and then he sneaks into the bed for extra cuddles. Max is also the perfect road-trip buddy. He absolutely loves riding shotgun and has become his foster moms favorite driving companion. Meet Baker!! Baker is an 8 year old tri-pawd, but don’t let that fool you! He still has plenty of energy and loves to play! Baker originally came to us from a local animal shelter after being hit by a car and sustaining an injury to his front leg, causing it to be amputated. He has fully healed from his ordeal and doesn’t even miss his leg! Baker still has a good amount of energy and LOVES to use his brain for training. He can be pushy if he thinks he could get away with it, so an owner that can be a strong leader that sets boundaries is a must. Otherwise, he is like a kid and will try to run the show:)! Baker gets along fine with most other dogs (but would do well as an only or with dogs that respect his boundaries) and has lived well with cats. Baker is VERY smart, and knows all his basic commands, such a good boy! He is a big snuggle bug, too! He loves to get his belly rubbed and says “thank you” with the sweetest puppy dog eyes! He is crate trained and potty trained as well. Baker is such a good boy, he even got invited on TV to show off his goodest boy traits! Make sure to watch the news clip in his pictures! Izzie is a very sweet, smart, and active girl. She is a medium girl who would benefit from a family committed to taking her on long daily walks (she walks very well on a leash), playing fetch and other games, teaching her commands, and training her to be her best self. She currently lives in a foster home with a much smaller dog, and does well with him, but any small dog home should be discussed because of their size difference. She hasn’t been around cats but I think she’d see them like she sees bunnies - as something to chase.
