Story
Meet Max 🐾 Max is a handsome 5-year-old, 60-pound Shepherd/Kelpie mix looking for the right person to call his own. He’s had a loving home for the past year, but unfortunately finds himself in need of a new beginning. Max has put in the work — he’s spent weeks training with certified trainers and it shows. He walks beautifully on a leash and truly enjoys getting out for daily walks. One of his absolute favorite things? Water! Max loves to swim and would thrive with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He can be a little timid at first, especially around men and young children, but with patience and consistency, he warms up and becomes incredibly loyal and affectionate. Because of this, Max would do best in a home without young children. Add his first home from the age of the puppy to four years old, he was the ESA dog for a teenager. Max is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his person — offering not just companionship, but a sense of comfort and protection. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will be by your side for walks, adventures, and quiet evenings alike, Max may be your perfect match. Story
⚡ Meet Brandon – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Brandon is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix with a sharp mind, boundless energy, and a big heart! This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Brandon is still young and learning, so he’ll do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy. In return, you’ll get an incredibly devoted companion who’s always ready for the next great adventure. If you’re looking for a fun, smart, and active pup to share your life with — Brandon’s your guy! 🐕💙

Our listed dogs ARE READY IMMEDIATELY; we only meet with families WHO ARE READY TO ADOPT! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Holly    is a beautiful Heeler miniature Dane mix who’s only about 50 pounds and looks larger in pictures than she is when you actually meet her   Holly is super cuddly indoors but loves to run around outdoors and is used to wide open spaces to explore.   Hollie was a country girl who was able to come indoors whenever she wanted but be outdoors for fun and frolicking; he was the perfect life for Holly, but unfortunately her owners were forced to move away and couldn’t bring her with .   Holly is six years old. She is completely housebroken.  She’s not destructive inside the house at all, loves to sleep on the sofa or bed and to be close to her humans when they’re at home.    Holly is friendly and gentle. She hasn’t lived with small children but she’s also never shown any sign of aggression.  We believe that because of her size she’d probably do best with older children or in a home with moderately active young to middle-aged adults.   One area of need Holly has is to work on leash training; since she grew up in a rural area Holly hasn’t had much need for leash walking, but in a new home that’s one area of training that will need fine-tuning.   When Holly came into foster care, even though it was completely different from everything she ever knew, she settled in the minute she walked in the door! She found a comfy place on the couch to call her own and curled right up and acted as though she lived there her entire life!   The only adjustment Hollie has had a hard time with is a fenced backyard. Our foster homes do have nice fenced backyards, but nothing like the spaces that people have when they don’t live in a city or a suburb. We hope to find Holly a home that has some acreage, but also where she is definitely part of a family and allowed to come inside to live her best indoor- outdoor life.   Holly never bothered livestock but we don’t know how she would do with indoor cats. She’s definitely good with other dogs, both male and female of all sizes. Since she’s been in a foster home she’s lived with up to two or three different dogs at a time and done very well with all of them.   We also would like a home where someone is around    most of the time; Holly‘s owners were there a lot of the time that she was growing up she’s not used to a life where people are gone from seven in the morning until five in the afternoon.    Holly is welcoming of all people very friendly, loves getting petted and knows several commands.   Holly‘s perfect life could also be living with somebody retired or retired couple whose home most of the time and just wants a companion dog to cuddle with their feet to throw a ball for and to keep them company. If Hollie sounds like the ideal companion for you, please complete the application on our website below. Then    TEXT KEVIN: 469-623-3999   So he can check your application and get back to you   Thank you   www.dashdog.org General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Story
Riley is eight months old and 25 pounds. She is exceptionally playful and enjoys the company of children. She has a fondness for walks, frozen carrots, chasing bubbles, and swimming. While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Furthermore, she will sit beside you while you are doing homework or even watch television with you. Playing fetch is also one of her favorite activities! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Riley III, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Frasier is a 3 year old 52 pound-Australian Kelpie/German Shepherd mix that was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/25 as a stray. If you will open your heart and home to this sweet boy, you will be rewarded with love and loyalty. He comes when he’s called. He seeks affection. He stays close to his human. At one point he even nudged me with his nose! He doesn’t know the sit command, but we know how smart German Shepherds are. He has the potential to learn many commands. He is calm, gentle, loving, and well behaved. He walks very well on a leash. He did his business as soon as he got out in the yard. This time around he would like to get outside to romp and play, but then come back in to chill with his family.

Story
Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet Darcey!   We would love to introduce our beautiful 37-pound Border Collie/Husky mix who is ready to find her forever home! This stunning girl has the most gorgeous blue eyes and a sweet, loving personality to match. She is potty trained and kennel trained, making her an easy addition to any home. She walks nicely on a leash, knows her basic commands, and is incredibly smart — she learns new things quickly and loves to please.  One of her favorite things is to chase balls.  She can do it all day long.  Although she enjoys playtime, she  also knows how to relax and chill with her people. She is friendly with some dogs, but prefers to be an only dog. Because of her playful nature, she would do best in a home with children over 8 years old. She is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and ready to become a wonderful family dog or loyal companion.
