Story
Meet Max 🐾 Max is a handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix with a heart as big as his smile. We originally adopted Max out as a puppy, and for the first four years of his life he served as an emotional support companion for a teenager. When his family lost their home due to landlord issues, they were heartbreakingly forced to surrender him. His next owner loved him for a year and invested in both intermediate and advanced training classes, making Max a well-mannered, well-rounded companion. House & Crate trained--Knows basic commands---Completed intermediate and advanced training classes---Great with other dogs, including the many Chihuahuas in his foster home Max weighs about 60 pounds and still has plenty of great years ahead of him. He loves being with his people and wherever the other dogs are, that's where you'll find Max too. Most nights he sleeps on a pillow beside his foster mom's bed, although every now and then he sneaks into the bed for extra cuddles. Max is also the perfect road-trip buddy. He absolutely loves riding shotgun and has become his foster moms favorite driving companion. Whether its a quick trip to the store or a longer adventure, Max is happiest when he's along for the ride. his absolute favorite things in life? Swimming and playing fetch! If you have a pool, Max will think he has hit the jackpot. Water is his happy place, and he never turns down a game of fetch. Thanks to a generous sponsor, Max's adoption fee has been reduced to just $50. If you are looking for a loyal, trained, affectionate companion who is ready to become part of your family, Max may be the perfect match. To apply, please visit: ChloesPetRescue.org/application

Story
Meet Annie! She is a 3yr old spayed female American Pitbull mix that weighs 40lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on as a stray 8/26/2025. She was adopted for one day but returned due to her very active playful manner. Yes, its true she is a spitfire! She loves to chase toys, doing zoomies in the play yard, and can be a bit mouthy with excitement. Once she runs out her energy she will sit right next you on the bench to be petted and will shower you with kisses. She does love treats but does not always take them gently so she will need additional training. She would do best with a person with an active lifestyle that can dedicate time to Annie to help her be the best pup she can be. She always has a big smile on her face and her tail wags non-stop. You can tell she wants to be your one and only pup in the home. With her energy level it maybe best. Please discuss with the shelter staff if you have another dog in the home so a dog test can be arranged. This super friendly lovebug can’t wait to find her own loving home. Can you please provide her with this?

⚡ Meet Brandon – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Brandon is a 1-year-old Kelpie mix with a sharp mind, boundless energy, and a big heart! This handsome boy is always ready to go — whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or just running zoomies in the yard. As a Kelpie mix, Brandon is smart, active, and thrives when he’s mentally and physically engaged. He’d love a home that can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and give him the structure he needs to shine. He’s super affectionate, loyal, and always excited to be part of the action. Brandon is still young and learning, so he’ll do best with a family who can continue his training and give him plenty of positive outlets for his energy. In return, you’ll get an incredibly devoted companion who’s always ready for the next great adventure. If you’re looking for a fun, smart, and active pup to share your life with — Brandon’s your guy! 🐕💙

Story
*UPDATE* We have moved to Fort Worth, but will still gladly drive Daisy wherever she can find a nice home. We received Daisy when she was 10 weeks old. She is 2 years old (born around January of 2024). Daisy is a very snuggly cuddly lap dog. She is not super adventerous, but does enjoy going on walks and laying out in the sun and in the grass. Her favorite things to do are laying on her bed or in your lap with lots of love and pets. She is very smart and listens well to commands like sitting, staying, or coming when called. She is very social and loves meeting new humans and dogs alike. She loves kids and babies, but does get so excited that she jumps up to kiss and greet everyone she meets, but there is not a mean bone in her body. She is a real sweetheart and would be perfect in a home that will show her lots of love and affection.

Story
Meet Littlefoot! This little tripod is one of the sweetest pups you’ll ever meet. She was found as a stray along with her puppies in South Texas a few months ago. Since rescuing her, we have gotten her fully vetted which included amputating her front limb, as she was born with a deformity that was causing her some pain. She’s a little over a year old, good with dogs, but prefers a mellow companion. She’s extremely sweet with people and would like to be a cuddle partner for hours on end. She’s also potty trained and crate trained. She has not been cat tested so unfortunately, we do not know how she would do with kitties. Because Littlefoot was a "street dog" the first year of her life, new things can be scary at first. So we will require a patient leader that can teach her that the world is not a scary place. Our trainer will be happy to continue to work with her on confidence building once she enters into your home, as all of our pups come with 3 free at home sessions with one of our trainers. If this little bundle of energy and love, sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the link and fill out an adoption application so that we can schedule a phone call to chat about her . Please note we do not ship dogs out of state. If you’re currently not in the Dallas Fort Worth area, you will have to come to Dallas to meet her.

Story
Meet Leia! Leia is a beautiful 6-year-old Aussie mix weighing around 39 pounds who is ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl was found off Mulberry in Rockwall on 05/21/26 and was never reclaimed, but she's now hoping for a second chance with a loving family. Leia is playful, walks nicely on a leash, and was great for her bath. She enjoys the simple comforts in life, especially cozy beds and soft blankets. She's an affectionate, easygoing girl who would love a home where she can relax, play, and be part of the family. Leia has been non-reactive around other dogs while in our care, though she has not yet been formally dog tested. If you have another dog at home, a meet and greet will be required to help ensure a good fit. She has been treated for flea dermatitis, and while it may take a little time for her skin to fully heal, she is already on the road to feeling much better. Leia is spayed, microchipped, and current on her Rabies, DAPPV and Bordetella vaccines. She did test heartworm positive but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her treatment is sponsored. Her adoption fee is $125. If you're looking for a loyal companion with lots of love to give, Leia may be the perfect fit for your family. Apply to adopt Leia online today: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
