Story
Cinder This sweet girl LOVES kids. They are her people! Playing, cuddling... anything kid related, she's all in. She also loves dogs and will become best friends quickly. She will not do well in a home with cats. Cinder would really thrive in a home with room to run outside and would also make a great exercise partner, as she has plenty of energy to keep up with you. You CAN NOT go wrong with this beautiful gal! She will be fully vetted, microchipped and spayed once adopted. She is available to you via ground transport.

To learn more about Zander, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Zander will be attending one of our adoption events coming up this weekend! To learn more about our upcoming events and to see which event he will be attending, please visit our event page at https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/ (*please note that the specific event pages are typically updated on Fridays with information on which dogs will be attending which events*) Meet Zander, a charming and sweet pup in search of a loving home! Zander is the perfect fit for an active household, always ready for exciting adventures and outdoor fun. He does well on a leash and is happy to help you get your steps in! But when it's time to unwind, he transforms into a snuggly and affectionate couch companion, eager to share cozy moments. If Zander were in the Barbie movie, his job would be FETCH. He loves to chase ANY thrown toy and bring it back to you. He particularly loves a toy that bounces in unexpected directions. And if you pat your thighs and sing, "Good boy, good boy," he will reward you with a happy little dance with his front paws. At the height of his excitement, he will start throwing the ball around for himself and pawing at it like he's playing soccer! If you're ready to provide love, play and treats (hot dogs and cheese are a favorite!) for Zander, he is ready to be your forever friend!

Joann is beautiful and her fur is silky soft, which is great because she absolutely loves to snuggle on a lap of one of her people friends! She plays well with her puppy pals and with the resident dog in foster, enjoys sniffing around the yard, and especially loves being with people. She has been exceptionally easy to train with treats and has quickly picked up basic commands. House-training is going well, and she has spent short periods in a crate. He is not yet leash trained but he happily trots around the yard by our side and will snooze nearby (or on a lap) when we are working. He gets along great with the resident dog and his puppy friends. Colt's coloring is gorgeous and unusual, the speckled white and copper of a red heeler. His coat is also exceptionally soft, perfect for snuggling with this sixteen-pound pup! And did we mention smart? Colt is treat-motivated and it has been a breeze to teach him basic commands (sit, lie down, come when called). Story
Female, 2 years old, 24lbs Good with: Dogs Not tested with: Cats, kids House trained: Yes Energy level: Moderate Noise level: Quiet Hi there! I'm Millie, a delightful furry friend ready to steal your heart. I'm a canine connoisseur of the great outdoors, always up for a romp in the sunshine and a good game of fetch. Give me a bone, and I'll happily indulge in some satisfying chewing – although, I must admit, I have a bit of a penchant for cables too. Oops! When I'm not busy playing, you'll find me being my cuddly self. I'm as soft as a cloud and love nothing more than burrowing into your lap, showering you with kisses. However, if you're busy working, I'll happily hang in my crate, on a dog bed, or nap at your feet. I'm flexible! I'm also happy sleeping in my crate overnight, but would prefer to be close to my people. Being close to my people is my happy place, and I've got this whole house-trained thing down pat. However, when it comes to leash walking and commands like sit, well, let's just say I'm a work in progress. So far, I’ve been a little cautious of stairs, but I don’t mind being picked up. I might need a bit of guidance and patience in that department. I've got a unique social style. At first, I can be a tad wary of new faces, but once I open up, I'm all in. Consider me your best friend for life. On walks, I can get a little nervous, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the big wide world, but with your reassurance, I'm sure to gain confidence. Similarly, I'm not a huge fan of big, rambunctious dogs - they are too scary for little old me! - but I'd happily befriend a dog of a similar size and temperament. I may even benefit from being in a home with another dog to help build my confidence. So, if you're looking for a loyal companion who loves the outdoors, enjoys a good cuddle, and has a soft spot for balls, look no further – I'm Millie, and I can't wait to be your four-legged bestie! Please note that, since I am a rescue dog, my breed is currently a best guess and can only be verified through a DNA test kit. I can’t wait to find my forever home where I can share all the love I’ve got to give! My foster guardian says: Millie is the sweetest pup with so much love to give, despite starting life in a tough situation. She’d make the perfect addition to any family! Likes: Balls, chew sticks, cuddles, kisses Dislikes : Stairs, overstimulation, big dogs Adoption Application : http://bit.ly/adoptrdr Foster Application :  https://rdr.formstack.com/forms/foster_app My adoption fee includes: Spay/Neuter Surgery (unless I'm too to young!) Story
This precious girl came from one of the worst hoarding situations that we have ever dealt with. there were over 100 dogs on the property, none of them spayed or neutered. Finally, the authorities went in and they managed to get ALL of the dogs out of there. Filthy dirty situation, sick puppies, you name it. We choose to take Blossom home to our rescue because her eyes were begging us for love and attention. She was very pregnant and two weeks after arriving, she gave birth to 7 heathy puppies! Every single puppy was different, every singe puppy had a different daddy! We think that Blossom had never been paid any attention to because she was so shy. Once we weaned her babies we took her out of the nursery and into the house where she just blossomed! That's how she got her name! Her puppies have long since been adopted and now it's her turn. We actually did a DNA on her and it came back with 4 different breeds, which we kind of figured from the beginning. Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, Boxer. Yes, she is truly a "Mutt!: She is extremely smart and will do anything for a treat. I want her to have a nice fenced yard with lots of room to run. Cattle dogs are working dogs and they need lots of exercise! She is spayed, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped and house broken, truly a gem! Ready for immediate transport. ADOPTION FEE $400 PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION!

Mojo was found as a stray and we made every effort to find his owners but to no avail. He is an Aussie mix and of course with the breed comes high activity. I will say that he loves his down time though! He is NOT an apartment dog. He needs a good sized fenced yard. He is not great in a crowd of dogs but will do well with a sister or brother to play with. He hasn't been tested with cats so we don't know about that. The vet believes his age to be about 6 years. He's neutered, vaccinated, crate trained and heart worm negative. He is more than ready for his forever home! Story
Willow Whisper is just the sweetest Cattle Dog girl that is a wonderfully well-mannered and easy going 4 year old that weighs 50 pounds.  She lost her home when her owner was turned out of the place he lived and he had to move in with other people that would not allow him to take his dogs.  Willow Whisper has joined a foster mom and her other dog and has fit in like she always has lived there.  She is eager to please and loves to be right next to you. She is not afraid to ask for pets and definitely leans into your hand when you give her little positive affirmation pats on the head.  The Cattle Dog breed is devoted and loving and very smart and this is a curious girl who loves to go on walks and take her time to sniff all the surroundings. She is uber smart and knows basic commands,  is housebroken and happily goes into a crate without a fuss. We loves and is super friendly with other dogs and easily plays with any toys you have laying around.  Willow Whisper’s  bubbly personality is such a positive to be around and she is very moderate with her energy. She is comfy on a couch but can also chase a toy down a hallway. Don’t miss out on this special girl who has nothing but great attributes to bring to your life and family.   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in Willow Whisper. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 22, 2024, 6:08 pm
