FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Anybody LOVE to play fetch with their dog? Well then Bandit is your guy! He is a 4.5-year-old, 55lb Australian Cattle Dog mix who is looking for his forever home! He is a very happy, friendly, and intelligent boy who learns very quickly. He is also very energetic and playful and would spend ALL DAY playing fetch with his person if he could! Bandit knows some basic commands and would make a wonderful running partner and loyal companion. Bandit would love a home outside of the city with a fenced yard to run around and play. He will need to be an only dog where he can get all of the love and attention. Due to how jumpy he can be, we do recommend an adult only home and adopters with good dog handling skills. Bandit is neutered, microchipped and UTD on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $350.

Story
LONG-TERM FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED ❤️ RJ is a 6½-year-old mixed breed with a heart as big as his paws. With a unique blend of American Pit Bull Terrier, Australian Cattle Dog, Labrador Retriever, Boxer, and German Shepherd, RJ is a handsome, athletic, and intelligent companion who’s ready to find a home that truly understands him. Originally rescued from a Texas shelter at around 1½ years old, RJ made his way to Washington and spent six months with Forever Home Dog Rescue before being adopted in October 2021. His early life is a mystery, but it’s likely he spent time on the streets as a puppy. Despite his rough start, RJ has grown into a sweet, fiercely loyal dog who bonds deeply with his people. What RJ Loves: Exercise & Adventure: RJ thrives with daily activity—he’s a fantastic running and hiking partner and enjoys fetch and chase (though he might not always bring the ball back!). He has been on many backpacking trips and loves being outside. He does well on long walks with familiar people and dogs. Toys & Playtime: Balls, chew toys, and stuffed animals are his favorites, but he’s a toy destroyer if left unsupervised. Training & Mental Stimulation: Smart and eager to please, RJ enjoys learning commands and being rewarded for good behavior. Lounging & Comfort: After a good play session, RJ loves curling up on a cozy dog bed or couch and catching some serious Zzz’s. Affection: He’ll greet you with tail wags and kisses (he’s a big licker!) before settling down with a toy nearby. What RJ Needs: RJ is a special dog who needs a home that can meet his unique needs and provide structure, patience, and love. Home Environment: While he’s lived in an apartment, RJ does best in a house with space to roam and a fenced yard. No Dog Parks: RJ is not a dog park dog and has shown aggression toward male dogs, sometimes unpredictably. He prefers being the alpha and does best with female dogs his size or larger. No Cats or Small Animals: He has a strong prey drive and should not be placed in a home with cats or other small pets. No Young Children: RJ has growled at children who tried to pet him on walks and hasn’t lived with kids, so a child-free home is best. Supervised Toy Time with Other Dogs: Due to resource guarding (mostly over toys and chews), RJ should be in a home where toys aren’t left out and where there are no other resource guarders. Secure Fencing & Leash Use: RJ doesn’t have reliable recall and should never be off-leash unless in a secure area. He’s athletic and could potentially scale a low fence if tempted by a squirrel. Companionship: RJ has strong separation anxiety and does best with another dog in the home—ideally a calm, confident female- and/or a home with owners who work from home and are present regularly. He loves to be a member of the "pack". Car Rides & Crating: RJ is a great passenger and enjoys car rides! He is crate trained and is used to being put in his crate at night. The Ideal Home for RJ: RJ is looking for a committed, experienced dog owner who understands behavioral needs and is ready to give him the structure and love he deserves. He’s not a beginner dog, but for the right person or family, he’ll be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. If you’re active, patient, and ready to welcome a dog who will love you fiercely and keep you on your toes, RJ might just be your perfect match.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Rocky! Rocky is a 10-month-old, 35 LB Cattle Dog/Lab mix who came to us from an overcrowded California shelter. When he first arrived, he was very shy and shut down, but with time, patience, and love, this sweet boy has blossomed. Now, Rocky is opening up faster to new people and dogs—and once he trusts you, he’s the most loyal, cuddly companion. Rocky absolutely loves to play with other dogs, and we’re looking for a home with a confident, playful canine buddy who can help him continue to build confidence and show him the ropes. He’s smart, treat-motivated, and has the perfect mix of Cattle Dog brains with that goofy, lovable Lab personality. With his big, soulful brown eyes, adorable floppy ears, and cool black-and-white spots, Rocky is as handsome as he is sweet. Rocky will thrive in a quieter, stand-alone home outside the busy city, where he can relax, learn, and grow at his own pace. He’ll be a wonderful medium-sized adventure partner for hikes, playdates, and lots of snuggles at the end of the day. If you’re ready to give this special pup the loving, patient home he deserves, Rocky will reward you with endless loyalty and love. Rocky is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Foster or forever home needed! Meet Hansel! This handsome 3-year-old, 55–60 lb Husky/Cattle Dog mix is the perfect blend of fun-loving energy and loyal companionship. He and his sister came from a rescue in California after being found tied to a tree as puppies — but he hasn’t let that rough start dim his bright, happy spirit. He’s an outgoing, friendly boy who loves to stay active. Whether it’s hiking, running, or exploring new trails, he’ll happily be by your side for every adventure. With his smarts and energy, he’ll thrive in a home that keeps him both mentally and physically engaged. True to his Husky side, he’s quite the escape artist! He’ll need a secure 6-foot wood fence and should not be left unsupervised in the yard, as he’s been known to find his way out of outdoor kennels and yards. He can be selective with other male dogs, but does well with calmer female companions. With continued obedience training and proper socialization, he’ll blossom even more into the incredible dog he’s meant to be. If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous, and affectionate partner to join your active lifestyle, this sweet boy might just be the perfect match! Hansel is neutered, microchipped and UTD on shots. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Jellybean! Jellybean is an 11-month-old, 24 lb bundle of joy and uniqueness! She’s a super-mutt mix ~ likely Boston Terrier, cattle dog, and maybe even a little Staffy in the blend ~ and she truly got the best of all worlds! Her coat is SUPER soft, she has a cute large spot on her back, and her ears are so quirky in the BEST of ways ~ halfway standing, halfway flopping, and fully adorable. She also has light-colored eyes and a little crooked smile that makes her one-of-a-kind. When she was a young pup, her mom nipped her nose, and it healed with a crooked grin… which only adds to her charm! Jellybean is a happy, friendly, goofy dog who always has her tail wagging. She’s social, silly, and loves to play with other dogs. Because she’s still young and impressionable, she would do great in a home with another confident, playful dog who can be both her role model and play mate! She’s eager to learn, very food-motivated, and responds well to training. She has your typical puppy energy, so she’d love an active home where she can get her wiggles out and then curl up for cuddles, but she’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. Jellybean was found as a stray in CA and is so deserving of a stable, loving foster or forever home. She’s mostly full-grown and will remain a nice medium-small size. She also walks well on leash and is great about checking in with her handler. This girl is truly one of a kind ~ happy, sweet, goofy, and ready to give her whole heart to the people who take her in! If you’re looking for a silly, engaging companion who will brighten every day, Jellybean is your girl! Jellybean is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet this sweet boy, Jethro! He is a 3-year-old, 55 LB Australian Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! He is currently living in a foster home with two other female dogs. Jethro is a very good boy! He LOVES to play fetch and being with his people. His ideal forever home is with a family who is home often to engage with him and not gone long hours. He loves connecting with people and will play fetch all day long! Jethro is also very smart, learns quickly, and is motivated by treats and toys. He knows basic commands and takes treats gently. He walks well on leash and stays close to his people. He can show some reactivity towards other male dogs on leash and will pull and will need an attentive adopter. Jethro does well with most dogs and can live with them but honestly is more interested in the companionship of humans rather than dogs and would likely prefer to be an only dog where he can get all of the love and attention. Although he would also be fine with another dog in the home who is not looking for a dog companion. He can be sensitive when about where he is touched and doesn’t like to be surprised (such as when he is sleeping) so we are recommending a home without young children. He has shown some prey drive toward neighborhood cats on walks and may not be the best fit with cats in the home. He is trainable and nonchalant, so he may be able to live with them but will need slow introductions. We are looking for a standalone home (no apartments or condos) with a fully fenced yard for him, preferably not in a busy city area. This boy has a lot of love to give and will make for a very loyal companion and amazing adventure buddy! Jethro is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.
