Story
Rex is a very gentle and loving dog. We believe he is around 11 to 12 years old, as I adopted him myself a few years ago. He is starting to lose some vision in his right eye, but he still gets around just fine and continues to be a calm and affectionate companion. The only reason I’m looking for a new home for Rex is because of serious allergies in my children. I have 3 kids, and unfortunately, all of them are allergic to dogs. I’ve kept Rex with us for as long as I could, because he means so much to me. But now the allergies are getting worse — sometimes affecting their breathing and their eyes — and I’ve reached a point where I have to make this difficult decision for their health. Rex is very sweet, smart, and well-behaved. He enjoys being close to people and is especially good with adults. He can be around other dogs, but it’s important to introduce him slowly and with supervision at first. Since I adopted him from another home.

Story
Reggie is an approximately 5 year old neutered Australian Shepherd mix finding himself in need of a loving forever home after his previous owner recently passed away unexpectedly. This handsome boy is all about people! His foster describes him as being an extremely bright, sensitive, sweet dog who is very attentive and devoted to pleasing his human(s). Because he is so eager to please, Reggie would be an excellent candidate for someone in search of a dog to practice obedience/trick skills with- he already knows Sit, Shake (both paws) and Beg. He is both fully crate and potty trained and walks with loose leash. Most likely because there has been so much turmoil and change in his life recently Reggie has presented some moderate separation anxiety with his foster, something that is showing progress as they continue to work on confidence building- however because of this he would most likely do best in a home with some experience with anxious dogs. Reggie is just an all around great dog!

Story
How this pet arrived:This pet was brought in by a community member. Why Creed might be the one for you: Creed with his distinctive one blue and one brown eye is looking for his people so he can gather them around. He is intelligent, energetic and hard working. To Creed,he has a job to do and that is to gather and protect his family and their stuff. And, stuff might include your clothes, his toys or critters in his yard. He will need training to distinguish what should be gathered and what should not. He will want an outdoor setting that has safe open spaces and stuff for him to do his gathering thing. Throw out a bunch of balls and he will likely gather them all together. But, Creed will want to come inside when he has finished his gathering and take a long nap next to his person. A consistent routine and activities that let him do his gathering without harm will go a long way toward Creed becoming a loyal and appreciated family member. Do you imagine yourself as a Wild West Cowboy type who needs a good dog to go with your good horse? If so, Creed would like to join into that picture. At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 44 Age: 3yrs 0mths 1wks
