Story
Say hello to Luna! She is a 3 year old Australian shepherd looking for her fur-ever home. Luna was surrendered to us due to reactivity and resource guarding. She will need an experienced owner who will be able to continue her training. She is super playful with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another furry friend. Due to her previous behavior issues, an ideal situation would be a single owner with another dog and a home / backyard. Lots of times will need to be devoted to making sure she transitions without any issues, so please reach out if you feel experienced in behavioral training and can be a loving leader for this sweet girl!

Story
Meet Lucas! This beautiful boy is between 1.5 and 2 yrs old, he is 45 lbs. Lucas was found on the streets with no ID tag or microchip. We suspect he got out of his home and got lost. His family couldn't be located despite efforts to find them. He was taken to the Vet for vaccinations, neuter surgery, blood work, and microchipping. He is healthy and happy. Since his rescue, he has been living with his rescuers/fosters. The family has 2 other dogs and Lucas gets along great with them. Lucas is very friendly, full of energy, playful, requires lots of stimulation. Gets along with people of all ages. He LOVES to go out on walks and runs, he is super agile and smart. He is not food aggressive. He loves treats y toys. The foster discovered that he gets his feelings hurt when she mistakenly threw a toy for him to fetch but hit him instead (it was a soft toy), he thought the toy was aimed at him instead. Please be mindful of this. He sleeps in the living room in his bed with blankets. He goes potty outdoors. He does not like crates, he gets stressed out and cries if confined. He "talks" to her foster to let her know when he gets hungry. He is funny! Lucas has to go to a family that is active, as this guy will need a couple of walks/runs per day. Please keep in mind that Aussie Shepherds are active and energetic, love playtime, exhibit an impulse to herd anything. If you are looking for a brainy, active, and trainable partner for work or sport, this is the dog for you.

Jerky is new to our rescue and what a loving, fun boy! He is around 11 months old and we believe he is likely an Australian Shepherd and Hound mix. He is friendly and likes to play. If you think you are ready to add to your family by adopting Jerky, then fill out an adoption questionnaire on our website today! We recommend completing the questionnaire and connecting with an adoption coach before looking for a dog or puppy you'd like to adopt. If you're already approved to adopt or if you've adopted from Labs and More before, connect with your adoption coach for the next steps. Your interest in adopting a rescued dog or puppy from Labs and More Rescue is appreciated! Please find our adoption information at www.labsandmore.org. Your adoption donation provides funding for Labs and More, a nonprofit organization which is supported solely by Volunteers and funded by donations. Good news is your adoption donation can be considered tax deductible. So much care is provided to your new dog prior to the adoption, including: spay and neuter, microchip, veterinarian visit(s), vaccinations, and other medical care as needed. Many of the dogs we rescue require extensive surgeries and care prior to adoption. Please understand we are unable to predict future behavior or medical needs of your adopted dog.
