Story
We’re not sure about Veronica’s backstory, but we know that she’s likely been through a lot. It seems as if someone wasn’t always very nice to her because she shuts down in some situations. But she does want to be right with her person, following closely on their heels. We think Veronica is about 6 years old. She is a gorgeous Australian shepherd with a gentle personality. While she is recovering from heartworm treatment, she still has energy and wants to play. She is fantastic with other dogs and great with kids. She is happy to be with everyone. Veronica is deaf and has limited vision. She’s very smart and has learned several touch commands including “good girl” and “come.” She is learning to walk nicely on a leash and is housebroken. She sleeps nicely in her pen overnight. Veronica would do best in a home with a friendly dog to help give her confidence. She does not like being left alone for very long, so she’d love someone who is home most of the day. She’d love an active person because she loves to explore and go on adventures. She’d prefer a physical, fenced yard to keep her safe. This sweet, beautiful Aussie is being fostered in the St. Louis area.  ##2378212##

Meet our Camelot puppies! These sweet pups came into rescue when their mother vanished while they were still very young. Mom was an Australian shepherd/Pomsky mix and dad is an absentee father. Each one is adorable, sweet, and smart and they all have amazing temperaments. Story
Sweet senior Stevie is a handsome guy who loves taking walks, wandering around his yard, and hanging out with his human. Just about 10 years old, Stevie is likely an Australian shepherd mix. He's pretty low energy in the house. He gets really excited when it’s time to go for a walk and he jumps up and down at dinner time. Stevie likes to lie at the top of the porch steps and just watch what’s going on in the yard. He comes in when called, especially if there’s a snack involved. He knows “out” and “eat” and is working on “place” and “touch.” Stevie has excellent house manners. He’s potty trained and has never had an accident. He doesn’t chew or get into things. Stevie gets along well with calm, respectful dogs. He’s been good with the kids he’s met when he’s been out and about. He’d love a home where someone isn’t gone all day. He’d really enjoy a fenced yard because he sure loves to spend time outside, just soaking in the sunshine. Stevie is a little shy at first, but comes out of his shell as he gets to know you. Rye is one of a litter of handsome Aussie and border collie mixes we recently rescued. They were living in a pen outside their entire lives and now are learning about warmth and affection and having fun! Rye is about 8-9 months old and has tons of energy. He loves to play ball, chew on toys, and play chase. He would likely be quite a natural at agility or dog sports. He’s a smart boy and quickly learned “sit” and “come” and is about to conquer “down.” Rye is amazing in his crate. He’s getting the hang of walking nicely on a leash and is doing well with potty training. He really likes to play with other dogs, but he’s concerned they’ll take his food. He’s working on dinner manners and is already starting to get better. Rye would love a home with a physical, fenced yard. It would be great to have an active new human who has experience with smart and energetic herding dogs. He’ll be a great buddy for running, agility, or just playing ball in the backyard. Story
Happy and sweet senior pup Scooter needs a forever family. Somewhere between 10 and 14 years old, Scooter is pretty energetic for his years, but he certainly loves relaxing too. He’s an Australian shepherd who really enjoys playing ball. He’s all about the chase, but isn’t always convinced it’s a good idea to bring the ball back! Scooter is very good in the house. He doesn’t chew or bother anything. He’s potty trained, but needs plenty of breaks to go outside. He gets along great with his canine foster sibling and pretty much adores everyone he meets. Scooter would love a home with someone around a lot. He absolutely wants to be near his person as much as he can. He would love a home with a physical, fenced yard.
