DOB 8-20-2023 Ralph is just a good boy, he gets along well with others, loves to run and play and is social. He is neutered, heartworm negative and has received a Proheart 6 injection. His adoption fee is 600.00.. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Fudge is a Mini American Shepherd which is the technical name for a mini Aussie. His papers show him as a red merle and he is reddish chocolate brown with some tan and white markings and speckled snout. He was runt of his litter, and max weight is 18 lbs. he is 3 years old. Neutered. Vaccinated. House and crate trained. He is a very active dog, does best with stimulation and lots of human interaction. He is anxious around strangers and crated with any unknown strangers. I would not recommend a home with young children. Raised in home with adults and teen boy. He has been routinely groomed and bathed. He would be perfectly happy in a home with a fenced yard but does well on a leash. He is a dog who will snuggle when exhausted. He is a good boy but aussies are herders who will bark and nip at ankles when they want control. For that reason, a person experienced with Aussies or border collies is recommended. He is a great dog. I am so sad that my health challenge and relo force rehoming

Tillie is such a sweet 8 year old Australian Shepherd mix who was adopted 7 years ago from LRH but her family is moving and cannot take her with them. It's heartbreaking for this sweet girl but we are committed to finding her a wonderful family who will love her forever. She's currently living in Hicksville, Long Island. Tillie has a lovely temperament and is very affectionate and loves to be with her peeps. She's also very smart and knows lots of commands as you can see in her videos. She doesn't live with another dog now but enjoys playing with them. She absolutely loves to play and relax in her backyard. She's a homebody who doesn't need lots of excitement and will be a great buddy going for walks in the neighborhood or watching TV. Tillie also does fine with kitties so she'll be a great family member to everyone in the house! We are looking for a loving family for Tillie because she is a great dog and deserves to be loved unconditionally. She's healthy, up to date on all her vaccinations, house-trained and so ready to give her all your love. Dino is a 5 y/o, 25 lb Mini Aussie/Spitz mix. She is healthy, incredibly sweet, playful, and affectionate. She loves human companionship, very social with people outdoors, & quickly forms a strong bond w/ her primary person. We are rehoming her because of her reactivity toward young children in the home, making our busy household an incompatible environment for her. I believe Dino would thrive in a quieter, adult-only home w/o children/pets, ideally someone who can continue working on her comfort w/ being alone & her reactivity with dogs. Calm & quiet at home Loves to snuggle, chicken, pets, to run, play tug Tolerates grooming Pee pad trained, poops outdoor It breaks my heart to rehome her, but I want to find an environment where she can feel comfortable & safe. If we cannot find the right home soon, I may have to surrender her to a shelter, which I very much hope to avoid In the short time I’ve had Dino, it’s clear how much love & companionship she has to give Msg me for more.

Originally from Alabama, Teddy was adopted by a family in New Jersey, but due to circumstances beyond their control, they were unable to keep him. He's now safe with us and ready for his next chapter. At about 40 pounds, Teddy is a handsome boy with a gorgeous brindle and white coat. He's sweet, happy, and loves being around people. As an added bonus, Teddy is being fostered by one of our favorite dog trainers, so he will be fully trained and ready to succeed in his new home. Teddy would love an active family that can give him plenty of exercise, attention, and love.
