PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION BOSCO is in foster care in Houston, Texas IF INTERESTED THERE IS AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE https://www.houstonshaggydogrescue.org/apply/ Bosco is an approx 9 months as of December 2023 and old Aussie doodle and weighs 52 lbs, he will probably be at least 60 lbs when fully grown He tested positive for Heartworms when we rescued him and has been treated with the AHS recommended injections , as he is a young dog the Heartworms should be clear in 4 to 6 months.He has been started on Heartguard and Nexguard as monthly preventatives He is a very sweet dog and loves attention,if you sit down he’s right there with his head on your lap wanting petting he is very curious and if you have something in your hand he wants to know what it is and is it for him !! He loves to run and play in the yard with his buddies , but would be good as an only dog or with another his size, he had that herding dog instinct and will grab smaller dogs by the neck and drag them across the yard and thinks he's playing .he walks pretty well on a leash/harness and is pretty well house trained, he needs a fully fenced in yard and is not suitable for a condo/apt and because he is very active no children under the age of 10 years and you must be an experienced dog owner OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only The total adoption fee of $700 ( and includes the interstate health cert and transportation, spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper canine influenza, and microchip. I love this dog with all my heart but due to circumstances I can no longer keep him. He was born 02/22/2019. I took him in at 8 weeks old when I was 2 years into the Marine Corps. I’m almost 7 years in and have to leave to Bahrain for 36 months and I’m not able to take him and I have no family that can. It breaks my heart to have to let him go but I want him to go with a good family that can see how pure and loving he is.
