Story
I adopted Penny from a shelter about 4 years ago. She is sweet as dogs get. She is an Aussie Staffie mix. I need to rehome her because we are moving into a rental and are expecting several moves for work in the near future. Having pets makes work travel difficult and renting homes very limited. Penny loves freebie. She is great with other dogs and does well at the dog park.

Story
Meet Olaf! This 6-year-old rescue pup is the ultimate sweet boy with a heart as big as his playful spirit. Rescued and loved for years, Olaf is incredibly smart; he is already house-trained, knows basic commands like a pro, and picks up new tricks faster than you can say sit. If your an adult looking for a loyal companion who thrives on affection and adventure, Olaf could be your perfect match. A Bit About His Past and Needs: Olaf had a tough start when he was younger, surviving a scary attack from another dog that left him understandably reactive and protective around other dogs. As a result, he does best in a single-dog home where he can feel secure without canine siblings. Recently, with a young child entering our home, we-realized Olaf and his high energy and protective instincts make him a better fit for an adult-only household. We are heartbroken to say goodbye but committed to finding him the right match; no kids, no other pets, but plenty of time for love and exersise

Story
Meet Kraut – The Pocket Rocket 🚀🐾 Looking for a dog with big energy in a compact package? That’s me—Kraut! I’m a cattle dog in travel-sized form, bursting with brains, drive, and a whole lot of personality. I’m not your average couch-companion (unless you’ve got a tennis ball in hand). My hobbies include outrunning expectations, herding anything that moves, and judging your slow reflexes. I thrive when I’ve got a job to do—whether that’s agility, fly ball, farm work, or just keeping you on your toes. Don’t let my size fool you. I’m fast, focused, and full of fire. My dream family is active, adventurous, and ready to keep up with my quick mind and quicker paws. Give me a task, and I’ll give you 110%—plus a lifetime of loyalty and laughs. If you’re ready for a spirited teammate, a pocket-sized athlete, and the best adventure buddy you’ll ever have, then what are we waiting for? Let’s go! 🐶💨

Story
In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max. Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Peninsula, OH Meet Cash! He is an 11 month old Australian Shepherd and weighs 50 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Cash is fearful of strangers! No children, because he is nervous around them. He is good with cats and dogs! Cash is housebroken and crate-trained. The owner is surrendering him because they moved in with their mother who has health issues. Their mother doesn’t have a yard and he is too much energy for her. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Cash, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Cash. Owner’s Contact Information: Theresa at tmorris@atnetplus.com
