In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max. Meet Juno, a 1.5 year old female Australian Shepherd. We rescued her 8-9-24, hoping to give her a life in the city with folks who love running and hiking. Unfortunately, it became quickly apparent that she is not well-suited to city life; fearful of strangers, cars, cats, and dogs, all inescapable realities around our house with no yard. At its worst, this has shown as aggression with little warning: lunging, snapping, and barking. At her best, Juno is very sweet and playful! She likes squeaky toys, long long walks, and peanutbutter. She really needs an experienced hand, (and preferably a yard) and we can't provide that for her now. What we love about Juno: Intelligent Eager to please High energy Beautiful coat Food motivated Loose leash walker (when no one is around)

Story
Phoenix has been with us since a puppy. Pure breed, but no papers. She is a loving dog to her owners and familiar people. Loves, and I mean Loves to catch and return a frisbee. Tons of energy and a great dog in an open setting without other dogs. When we are in an open setting (10s of acres of space) then she remains at the house and perfect companion. She has nipped (small cuts) at strangers that get too close to her . face without much warning. We have a 4 year old and young neighbors now. She will attack some unknown dogs/cats that come into her property. She is up to date on rabies shots and yearly. Tested, no heartworms. Good health. This dog goes from a perfect great companion to an overly protective dog. Having neighbors/kids that want to play with her face may result in a warning snap from the dog. She warns and backs off. Will only allow adoptions with the right environment. She has had 3 light seizures in the past 2 years. Unknown cause.
