Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Taffy is a lovable 6 month-old Aussie mix pup who was surrendered to a county dog shelter along with her 4 sisters. All made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they could have fun in foster homes while searching for their permanent new homes. Taffy is the life of the party and has never met a stranger. She’s out front exploring everything first and is eager to meet new people and other dogs. Taffy looks like a chubby bear cub and is just as huggable as they come. She would love a home with an active family to keep her busy and entertained as well as learning lots of new things so she can become a canine good citizen. Being left alone for long workdays would not be her cup of tea so she’s looking for an active person or family who has lots of time to spend with her. Taffy weighs about 17 pounds currently and we expect she may be 35-40 pounds or so once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Taffy. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Taffy and to submit an online application.June 2, 2023, 12:50 pm

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Tully is a shy but very sweet 1.5 year-old Aussie mix neutered male who found himself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter since October of last year. He was very frightened at the shelter and while he warmed up to the volunteers and staff there, he was wary of strangers making his chances for adoption there almost nil. When the shelter reached serious overcrowding over the holidays, Tully was moved to a boarding kennel to save his life and buy him some time until we had room for him. Tully was a little shy with us when he first arrived but he is a real sweetheart who we know is going to excel once he feels comfortable in his forever home. He loves other dogs and would definitely benefit from having a confident canine buddy in his new home to help him adjust. Given his initial shyness in new situations, he would do best in a home that has a yard with a secure aboveground fence. Tully is a smart boy who’s sure to pick up the routine in his new home with ease once he feels comfortable there. We can’t wait for him to be living the life he deserves with a wonderful person or family who gives him that chance. He weighs about 50 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Tully. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Story
Hello my 94 year old Dad had adopted Lexi in December 2022. He then had major back surgery and can no longer walk or play with Lexi . She is a herder and needs to go to a home with lots of activities to keep her stimulated. When she was adopted she had no health records so he has spent a great deal of money to get her spayed, shots up to date, heart worm meds . She is a sweet dog but unfortunately too much dog for my Dad to handle in his life .

Story
Meet Gracie! This gal Gracie was used for commercial breeding, which was a pretty tough start but she is rebounding quickly! Gracie is a quick learner! She knows basic commands and is house and crate trained. In other words, Good Girl Gracie! She enjoys strolling in the yard, rolling in the grass, belly rubs and sun bathing. She is the perfect mix of calm and silly with just a dash of ornery mixed in. Gracie is loving, vocal and eager to learn! She can be quite rambunctious at times but calms down quickly. Because of this, she is NOT suited for a home with small children or anyone with mobility issues. Gracie will thrive in a calm, low traffic home with a structured environment. A physically fenced yard is a also a must for Gracie due to her breed. Since she is still figuring this whole dog thing out, she'll need some ongoing support when she is being introduced to new people and environments. She bonds quickly with her new dog and people companions, though! Gracie truly enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would benefit from another more confident dog in the home to help her continue to grow. This lady has a lot to offer and is hoping the perfect home for her is just waiting to meet her. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org

Story
Hi! We rescued Carmen from One of A Kind pets about a year ago. She’s a very sweet girl, good with kids. She’s very energetic. She will require active parents and a good amount of living space. She isn’t good with other dogs. She will seem like she is. Don’t trust it! She’s hates cats and loud noises. So a little high maintenance. This is one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever met. Emphasis on open spaces and high amount of exercise. She also fight cars so maybe a low traffic area

Story
Bruno is a handsome 1 year old neutered male Australian Shepherd. We are looking for a quiet home with a physical fenced yard and humans experienced with the breed. Bruno favors female humans. Bruno is shy of men but warms up with proper introductions and patience. Keep this in mind if you are a single female considering a male entering your life in the future. We want Bruno to be a lifetime commitment. Bruno is house and crate trained. The ideal family would be willing to spend lots of time with Bruno as a companion. He would love to complete basic training classes to bond with his human. He is smart, active, athletic and also very sweet and cuddly. He looks to his confident human for instruction and security so he would not be a dog for a first time dog owner. He likes dogs so another confident dog in the home would work. No cats due to his "herding" instincts. He is not mean to cats but the impulse to herd them is in his nature and could be stressful on cats and small children. We are looking for adopters who WANT to GIVE a dog a home. Bruno needs patience, training, compassion and a commitment. Bruno has been let down by humans. (Lack of training, lack of socialization, lack of health care, lack of commitment.) When dogs have been let down over and over it only contributes to their anxiety. Someone who can make this sweet boy their number one priority is key. Bruno's adoption fee is $400 which includes his neuter, vaccinations including Rabies, dewormed, Heartworm tested Negative and current on Heartworm/flea/tick prevention.

Story
Brad is a nervous dog who will need a lot of time and patience. He found his way to us severely under socialized with no understanding of how to interact with humans. The most mundane things overwhelm him, so he will require someone who understand a slow approach and a gentle hand. It will take some time to gain his trust, but we think that over time he will likely bond to that special person.Brad will require a quiet, adult-only home. Any canine siblings would require a meet and greet, but a low energy and social dog would likely be the most successful companion. Brad is required to meet with any potential adopters at least 3 times before going home.

Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Ariel is a very pretty 2.5 year-old girl who found herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time finding the perfect new home. The shelter listed her as a Heeler mix but we think she may have some Jack Russell Terrier or Beagle in her DNA too. Ariel is as sweet as can be but can be easily overwhelmed in new situations. She can be very timid and fearful meeting new people so it does take her some time to warm up to strangers. Ariel is much more comfortable with people when there is another dog around to boost her confidence so we do want to place her in a home where she'll have a confident buddy to emulate. She enjoys playing with other dogs so would also enjoy having a canine pal to wrestle with. Ariel has been crate-trained and housetrained in her foster home so should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. Ariel walks quite nicely on a leash but can be easily spooked by odd sights and sounds. She would love a home in a nice quiet neighborhood where she can truly relax and enjoy her life. Ariel goes hiking regularly with her foster mom and Boxer buddy and loves it! Given her shyness, she would do best in a home that has a yard with a secure aboveground fence. It will likely take Ariel some time to get comfortable in a new home but once she bonds with someone, you've got a friend for life! Ariel weighs about 27 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Ariel. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
