In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max. He is a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (the other breed is unknown) and weighs around 80 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Riley wants all of the attention! He would do best as the only dog or in a home with a dog who doesn’t mind him getting more attention. He hasn’t been tested around older children or cats. Riley needs a quiet home with older children or without any children, because he doesn’t like them yelling or running past him. This handsome 5-year-old Australian Shepherd is the total package — smart, loyal, and full of love! Max knows his basic commands like sit, down, stay, and come, though he may forget his manners when he’s extra excited. He’s fully housebroken and has never had an accident indoors. He’s a good boy who loves his toys and bones, enjoys chewing appropriately, and even appreciates some quiet time in his crate — though he’d much rather be right by your side. Max is happiest when he’s with his person, whether he’s fetching a ball, soaking up belly rubs, or resting his head in your lap. He walks nicely on a leash but can get a bit reactive or pull when he sees other dogs — just the enthusiastic Aussie energy shining through. He has played well with other dogs, but slow, calm introductions are best. Like many herding breeds, Max takes his job seriously. He’ll alert you when a delivery arrives, stays aware of everything happening in the home, and loves following you from room to room. Because he may try to herd small children or animals, he’ll thrive in a home familiar with typical Aussie behaviors and ready to help him channel that energy positively. Bonnie is a 2 year old Aussie shepherd/sheltie mix female. She is only 25 pounds and does not mind being an only dog. She is dog selective but prefers males and will play non stop. She is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and spayed and ready to go to her new home. She jumps up a lot. Working on the jumping but part of that is her young energy. We have had Luke for 2+ years. A wonderful time and he loves chasing a ball, playing tug, running, running, and a big snuggle bug. In the last two months he has begun to not do as well with our young kids as they have gotten bigger and more mobile. We have come to the difficult conclusion to rehome him before anything else occurs for our young kids safety. He had been in a house with 6/3/3 year olds.
