Story
In Olmsted Township - Hey everyone! Let us introduce you to Mr. Max R. Roni. Max is an almost 7 year old Australian Shepherd. He’s had a sad past, losing his home, his mom and dad and now looking for a forever home to accept him as he is. It’s time for Max to find his furever home and thrive. Max came to ASF grossly overweight. He has been with his foster for several months trying to get some of his weight off and to help him be happy again. He’s lost a lot of weight already and is feeling much better. Max is a gentle old soul. When in the house, he’s pretty chill… he’ll find his spot and most of the time he’ll hang there alone. He will bring you his tennis ball (his FAVORITE toy) and wants you to toss it once he gives it to you. Max really loves butt rubs and being petted. He gets super excited to go outside and play ball or chase or catch a rolled Frisbee. When it’s time to quit, he just finds a spot to lay down. Max gets nervous on car rides and isn’t a fan. He’s very content staying at home. Walks are okay; he’s a bigger boy so he does pull some. Max is great left in the house all day: no accidents, no destruction. He does like the couch and would prefer to share your bed. Max has an issue with resource guarding toys… all toys belong to Max. Thus, a home with a submissive female or as an only dog would be best. His submissive 2 year old female foster sister Aussie plays chase with him but will drop any toy she has when Max comes near. He wasn’t nice the first time, so she just lets him have any toy. (The male Aussie in the house did not back down and this didn’t go well at all.) Due to his resource guarding, a home with small children would not be advised nor any dominant dog. Max is a sweet boy who just needs to find the right home. Someone to pet him on the couch, toss the ball for him once in while, take him out in the yard while you work or enjoy sitting and watching the day pass. Max is neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccines, housebroken, crate trained, and on HW/flea prevention. He is currently being fostered in Olmsted Township, OH. There is an additional $20 fee to transfer his microchip to his new owners. All adoption fees go to help rescue other dogs like Max. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Board Game puppiesTwister is one of eight adorable puppies who got the best start in life thanks to Doberman Underground! Their brave mom was found as a stray and taken to a shelter, where it was discovered she was pregnant. Thankfully, DU stepped in to ensure she had a safe place to deliver and raise her pups. While their mom appeared to be a purebred Doberman, DNA results revealed that she is actually a unique blend! Twister and her siblings are a mix of several wonderful breeds, including Doberman, American Pitbull Terrier, Australian Shepherd, Labrador Retriever, and Boxer. These pups are going to be big, cuddly dogs with loving personalities and lots of energy! Twister is a well-socialized, playful pup who will thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show the ropes. As a large-breed mix, she will need an experienced owner who understands the commitment of raising a big, energetic pup. At this young age, she will adapt well to kids and cats with proper introductions. Training is a must to help Twister grow into a well-mannered adult, so be sure you have the time and dedication for a growing puppy. A spay/neuter contract is required. If you're ready to bring this lovable pup into your home, apply today at www.DUdobes.org! Story
Polly is a 15 week old miniature Australian shepherd. We adopted her from a breeder at 8 weeks old. Unfortunately my son has developed a severe dog allergy and we are unable to keep her. She is a sweet energetic pup who loves to play and loves walks. She is great with kids and cats. She hasn’t been around many other dogs but is always friendly towards them in public. She is almost house trained but has the occasional puppy accident. She is trained to be in a kennel when we are not home. Polly would do best in a home with a large yard rather than an apartment.

These pups are in North Olmsted, Ohio too!

Story
London is now going for walks and getting right in my lap for attention and snuggles. He is afraid of cars but once in the park he is good. He is a little weary of strangers getting too close but he is not afraid of other dogs. He only backs away a little for people. He is getting better with the cars every day he likes to sit and watch them pass as opposed to running for his life. I have been working on a bit of cooperative care and I can hold his paws, check his ears and teeth. He is afraid of tools. He goes in a corner for brushing but tolerates it fine. He still loves playing with the other dogs and is not very sound sensitive anymore. He is doing so well and now that he knows the driveway is not the scariest thing in the world he loves the walks. London is pretty amazing. In less than two weeks he has gone from barely getting out of his crate with humans present to soliciting scratchies. He plays with Miss Blueberry, our Aussie pup for hours every day. He is for sure going to become a cuddle bug. He also loves to follow us humans around and watch what we are doing. He is still skittish about new things but is adjusting very well and very quickly with the help of his foster sister. He is still scared to go outside though. Please reach out for more info and watch for updates as he develops in his foster home. Please visit London and his friends on our web page. https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northern Illinois Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org

Story
Update on Charlie: Charlie has been settling into his foster home and is doing very well. He enjoys taking walks, playing ball, and being outside. He absolutely craves being the center of attention and is more than happy to sit by your side, letting you pet him until one of you falls asleep. He has started working on clicker training to learn basic commands. He does a great job in his crate and is working on learning to settle and rest outside of the crate as well. Charlie was a last-minute save from a shelter in Ohio. Charlie has had a rough start in life and needs some structure and guidance to be the best dog he can be! He currently is in a boarding facility, where he is well-loved by the staff, and we are looking to place him into a foster home soon. He has an injury to his left rear thigh but is recovering nicely. He loves going on walks and does well on leash. He also enjoys playing ball in the yard. From what we've seen and tested, he seems to do well with other dogs but we would recommend only one other dog in the house with him. He doesn't do well with cats, since he wants to chase them. He is house and crate trained, neutered and UTD on vaccines. See Charlie and all his friends on our page https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northeast Ohio Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org
